This is very scary.  The caller new my Cell phone number address and full name.  The caller said they could of received my information from serveal different place like Walmart Home depot.  The caller gave me the last 4 digits of a visa card but it wasn't mine.

they also  calls me every day and when I want to answer them, they hang up!!!!

They call twise a day same time every day. They never answer when I pick up the call and they dont leave a message either. It's going on a month now.

this number has called me multiple times and there is no one on the other end when i answer or they hang up. when i call back the number is busy. pls stop calling me!

i got calls from them all the time. when i called back it, i never got ahold of anybody. so finally i just went to my cell phone company and had a block put on it. so far so good.

9 calls on my work issued cell phone over the last 3 days.  Crazy that it continues to go on from this single number.  You would think in the age of fast information that the rule makers would see this problem develop early and react.  it's all a scam

Same thing here.  They call several times a day and have been doing so for nearly two weeks.  I don't pick up anymore but when i did (at the start), no one was there.  Try calling back and it's busy.  This is on the heels of a series of calls from other numbers asking for someone else.  Those calls came over and over from various numbers asking for someone else.  Not sure why the surge of calls of this "type".  Who is the authority to call?  The Federal Trade Commission?  http://www.ftc.gov/

These calls are driving me crazy. I get two to three calls a day and no one is on the other end. When I give them my title of Detective they hang up right away.

18774405584. I finally picked up the phone and they asked for a different name. There had been some fraudulent activity on my card recently and they insisted that I was the fraudulent one with another person's cell phone.

What are the proper authorities to report this number to?

I've been getting calls from this number for about 2 weeks; when I called back there's a busy signal. That let's me know there's something illegal about this.

they call at least twice a day - I have only answered it once and they said nothing was wrong but something was purchased on my Mastercard ending in XXXX - which is an old credit card that expired. I dont even have that card anymore. I said that and they just hung up. --They called again today twice already it's only 3:30 -- What do i do? I want them to stop calling

oh my god, i keep getting the same calls, when i pickup i cant hear anything, i just got another call a few seconds ago, the operator said hello then the phone just went dead.....

same call no answer, I'll follow up after work and send a better business complaint for fraud attempt.  I'll let you know what I get back from the BBB.

Awesome advice....you seem to have gotten further than most of us.  I usually get hung up on, rarely have I talked to anyone...just the one time, I did the same as you!

Same here....they had the last 4 digits of my cc#....she said don't worry nothing is wrong...you have one something from a purchase..really? cause that card is closed....they were phishing for something, probably either the beginning numbers on the card or the validation numbers on the back. I have NOT used that CCd in over a year, there is no way I have won something they are full of crap!

Never give out information....report your call to the DNC registry or to the FTC directly.  That's all the advice I can give...sorry.  I am still trying to find a way to stop them myself. If anyone finds out, could they let me know.  I have complained and complained and complained and still get called every day!

1-877-440-5584 apparently belongs to a company called "Goldchamps, LLC", based in Tampa, Florida.  They tell you that you recently purchased something from one of their "partners" and they are sending you some "gifts", including a Walmart gift certificate.  They are adamant that they are NOT charging your card with anything....

I had the same thing happen to me., they have called several times, leaving no message, I picked up today and they had my Acct. XXXX, I asked where they got my No. they said I had ordered something from one of their Markettiers, I asked what I ordered he said he didn't know., wanted to give me a $100.00 store coupon, and a $50.00 Walmart gift card., I hung up on him.

These folks have an old list of credit card purchases. They only know the last 4 digits of the account number...they are trying to get you to confirm information and purchase something using the card # they that 'pretend' to have. I suggest to keep a mental note of the phone number and DO NOT answer the call. They will change the number again - seems they change every 2 months or so.
I actually spoke to someone. When I requested the full card #, she told me she only had the last four numbers and only knew if it was MC or Visa. My card had been cancelled 3 years ago. She said they are trying to verify the information they have...SO DONT GIVE ANY INFORMATION.
