I have gotten MANY calls from this number- 8774443343 and 8178643343 saying there are unpaid citations for the city of Albuquerque in my name and that it is being escalated for legal attention.  I know for a fact that I have NO citations in the last 10 years, pending or otherwise.  I don't know how these people got my information, but I am on the do-not-call registry now, and have asked them to take me off their list to no avail.  They are continuing to harass my family and I and I am at a loss now as to what to do about it.  I have just filed a complaint with the FCC, but I am not sure that will stop these calls.  Please, if you get a message from these people- apparently they are from Credit Watch Services, either do not answer or don't call back, and MOST CERTAINLY do not give them any money-- it is a SCAM!!! The city of Albuquerque would never use a service like this one to collect on tickets- call 311 for more information, and file your own report:

These are corporate scammers.  They bought the unpaid photo-based traffic tickets from Albuquerque's discredited and discontinued red light cameras. City of Albuquerque says "They're not working for us."

These folks are from a co. named "Credit Watch". They are a bill collection co. They buy overdue accounts and then dun the client with requests for payment. One of their gigs is trying to collect on City of Albuquerque unpaid automated red light cameras. That is a civil citation, from a disgraced and discontinued program. Doesn't hold any water legally.
I haven't lived there since before the cameras were installed, so I seriously doubt they even have the right plate/car/driver. But they are persistent and my call block program is filled up so I get a recorded message once a week or so. Pretty feeble.

I'm also in Albuquerque.  I also get this phone call almost everyday.  The robo clerk ask for Jonathan Gunn (name might be mispelled, sorry about that}.  It goes on saying that if you are not this person to hold and talk to an agent and get your name off this record.  There's some thing wrong with this.  I mean, I'll just give them a correct name to the phone number they dialed and then I get the harassing phone call.   I don't have any out standing traffic, so I just don't return their call at anytime.  You usually have a gut feeling its a spam.  Follow that feeling and don't call them back and protect your personal information.

Unfortunately, contrary to what this message board is saying, this is the company that is collecting outstanding debt on City of Albuquerque red light traffic citations.  It's annoying because many of the citations are more than 4 years old, so therefore they CANNOT bring legal action against you for not paying them.  They can, however, report it to the credit bureaus and effectively ruin your credit if you refuse to pay them.  Obviously if you don't live here or never did, I wouldn't pay it, but if you go on their website after you call the number back you can see if it was your car or not.  You have to have the license plate number and citation number (they can give you this over the phone) and you can go to photonotice.com.

Here is the City of Albuquerque website saying that they are the legit bill collector for the tickets: http://www.cabq.gov/administrative-hearings/red-light-cameras

Here is an article in the Journal about the legality of trying to collect them:
http://www.abqjournal.com/main/196140/biz/sta ... stop-fines.html

Whether you pay it or not is your choice.  I personally am going to pay mine because I looked at the video, it is my car, and I don't need the credit problem.  Can you fight it and win?  In theory, yes, but the problem is that hiring an attorney to argue that case is going to cost more than the fines you could pay in the first place.

Good luck!

They called me again!  Arg!!!!  Called them back and she said they are just a collection agency.  I already checked with the City of Albuquerque and I have no citations.  She got quiet.  I told her I had checked with the city and that they were harassing me.  I mentioned lawyers sueing them for harassment...and she quit talking.  I hung up.  ???? Waiting to see.  I am on the do-not-call list....but they do not seem to follow that.  I told her to "take me off your call list". So let us hope and pray that they do!

The company is legit and was hired by the City of Albuquerque to collect on the citations the intersection cameras issued for people running redlights and/or speeding.  If you do not pay them, they will show up on your credit as a collections (trust me, just got this from personal experience).  It's up to you to pay or not pay, but if you think it is a SCAM, you are incorrect and will soon have negative marks on your credit report.  For those stating they have no 'tickets' on their record, that is correct, the redlight cameras did not put 'tickets' or 'citations' on your driving record, so your record will still show you have no tickets.  This is purely a money citation, it will not show on your traffic record.  That is a non-issue.  It is just a debt that is collected as any other.  Pay or don't pay, but it WILL go on your credit report as a collections if you don't.  Calling the City to verify if you have any tickets has nothing to do with the redlight cameras.

I have gotten repeated calls from this number.  The automated message begins by saying that "this is a call on behalf of the city of Albuquerque...about a citation".  I have checked with local law inforcement and the city of Albuquerque and have no citations.  I Googled this number and found this site!  ARG!!!  The most annoying thing is I have a Net10 phone.  I have blocked this number, but they are still able to call and leave a voice mail.  I have put my number on the do-not-call registary...hoping this ends it.
Good luck!

Tina -

I too, have received several calls from this company.  After some research, it is true that this is a result of unpaid ticket.  What may have happened to you, is that you moved and they were sending the ticket to your old address.  That's what happened to me.  Bottom line, you don't want to ignore this unless your credit being affected is not important to you.  We have had many clients be hit on their credit reports from this company, which is becoming a pain since these clients are trying to buy homes and now, they have to get this removed from their report, which can only be done by paying them.

It is NOT legit!  You are being scammed, but so be it.

I received a call on my cell phone with an area code from OHIO where I used to live (NOT in NM).   So I returned the call using my work phone from my current state of OREGON (still NOT in NM).

Here's how our call went:
ME:  Hi, (I didn't give my name) I'm returning a call I received, and he asked what number I had received on my cell number.
HIM:  Are you calling from (XXX) XXX-XXXX (my work number in Oregon).  (I hear keyboard typing in the background.)
HIM: Is this the number you were called on.
ME: No, but I was told something about...
HIM: (finishing my sentence) ...a citation?  So what number did they call you on?
ME: It was on my cell phone, and it isn't a NM number, so I don't know how you got that number...
HIM (immediately interrupted): Now you know it wasn't me who called but a machine.
ME: Correct, but I still don't know how my cell number was retrieved - especially since it is from a different state."
HIM: So are you going to give me that number?
ME: No.
HIM: (Rudely) Well, fine, then you'll just keep getting more calls.  Have a nice day! (Hung up)

Last laugh is on him - I have blocking service on my cell phone! LOL!!!  BTW, I never lived in NM!

I have received many calls from this number...same thing credit watch on behalf off the city of Albuquerque looking for the person that used to have my telephone number. I called them and explained to them that the person they are looking for does not have this telephone number, since I have had it for only a couple of months. The woman that answered was polite, and said she would remove my telephone number from their system. I normally don't call places like this back, but I was tired of the endless phone calls from these people. I guess time will tell if they removed my number from their system,

I am 100% it's legit, google City of Albuquerque, go to their website and search the site for red light citations. The number that comes up to call for payment is 877-444-3343. If you go to the site https://www.photonotice.com/ and put in the information they give you, you will see the violation.

It's legit, you may not realize it until they send you to https://www.photonotice.com. My citation was 8 years old, never received the mail on it and they city never attempted to collect on it until now. The statute of limitations for collections in the city of Albuquerque is 4 years, so in certain situations you can dispute the collection. These citations do not show up under law enforcement, so calling the city may give you a false negative. You won't get a warrant for not paying these tickets, but it can destroy your credit if you let it go too long.

It was REDFLEX, the company that owned the Red Light, Speeding Cameras in Albuquerque.  2 of the citations were not at lights, they were on streets & Interstate (I-40) that were being checked for speeding.

My parents were receiving phone calls for me at their house.  They live in El Paso and I live in Albuquerque.  As I was reading everyone?s response, I was also skeptical and was thinking it was a scam, but it is not a scam.  I also read and watched a video from Channel 7 KOAT News (http://www.koat.com/news/Company-placing-phon ... wz/-/index.html), which verified who they were a little bit more.  I called the 1-877-444-3343 number. I said I received a phone call from them and was calling back to find out information.  He started looking me without me giving him information.  He said he was looking for a Richard someone, which was not me.  So I started to think, it is a scam.  What he was doing was using the number I was calling from, which was my work number.   He then asked for the number that received the messages and so I gave him that phone number (my parent?s El Paso number).  He then said I had 3 outstanding citations in the City of Albuquerque.  He was not too good with giving me information, so I kept on asking questions.  Who, where, what, when.  He was able to give me the location of the citation, date, total amount for all of the citations (not each), a citation number & license plate number.  I told him that I did not receive any citation in the mail and if they could send me a copy or is there a place to view the citation.  There is a website to view the citation ? photos & videos (depending if they took video, they had 1 video for me).  Here is the website:  www.photonotice.com .  You will need the Citation Number; License Plate Number; and the City Code (which is ABQ).  I was able to see my old vehicle, photos, videos & locations that were legit.  He mentioned that I had to pay by the end of the month (May).  I did not ask what if I did not pay.  I am assuming it just might go to legal actions and/or debt agencies.  He did mention that when I called back they might give me a payment discount or I can set-up a payment plan.  The only weird thing is the amount he gave me over the phone versus what the website said.  He gave me a total amount.  On the Photo Notice website, you are able to pay for each citation with a $3.95 fee on each citation.  The total of all 3 citations with the fee added was still $48.15 less than the total he told me over the phone.  So we will see what will happen the next time I call.
