No idea what it's for. I got the same text but didn't call them back. They can call me if it's important.
Kelly Marie 2011-06-06 21:04:25 Unknown
I just got this text and was hoping someone knew what it was about. No one yet?
Daisy Chain 2011-06-06 21:04:25 Unknown
Got the same text. Not planning on calling though.
Cindy 2011-06-06 21:04:25 Unknown
I wish there was a way to be notified if there was an answer to this thread. Not that I really ever plan on calling them back, but I am curious about it since I've never gotten a text like this.
Carrie 2011-06-06 21:04:25 Unknown
They didn't tell you their name or what they were calling about? Weird....
Ava 2011-06-06 21:04:25 Unknown
I don't know what to do...will they call back?
Jon 2011-06-06 21:04:25 Unknown
A text came through today saying I should call this number back. Any idea what it's for?
Vincent 2010-04-30 21:00:15 Unknown
Me too.
Patraeus 2010-04-30 20:59:31 Unknown
Cool.
The Other Number Said 2010-04-30 20:58:47 Unknown
I looked up the number that the text asked me to call and this is what it said:
"This number is a part of Applicant Services, a new service that matches up jobseekers with employment opportunities. We receive resumes of people seeking employment from all over the country. When you call in, we ask you for some basic information -- never your social security number or anything similar -- and match you up with jobs that meet your criteria for employment. We do this as an absolutely free service to jobseekers. There will never be any charge, and we will never ask you for any sensitive or billing information."
If that helps.

Since the text said it was about employment opportunity, I'd say you could get a job. You think?
Natalie 2010-04-30 20:49:11 Unknown
Mine was Anna.
Frank Talk 2010-04-30 20:46:10 Unknown
Yes, thank you.
JG-112k 2010-04-30 20:45:35 Unknown
I don't know, at least a text I can choose to call them back or not.
Nery 2010-04-30 20:42:07 Unknown
This is what happened to me.

Network Solutions is a internet service provider and domain registration service. They handle thousands of websites. all you did was trace them back to the company that either hosts their site or registered the domain for them.
Roland 2010-04-30 20:23:19 Unknown
Thanks for posting that.
Jay 2010-04-30 20:04:42 Unknown
Huh, my text didn't have anything in Caller ID, but the text did mention a name. Anne I think.
Phyllis 2010-04-30 19:30:38 Unknown
I got the text. It said it was about jobs so I called the number. They interviewed me for a few minutes and then said that they would send jobs to me that would be good ones for me to apply to. They sent me the list so all I have to do is apply for them now I guess. I hope that helps. LOL.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!
I received a text as well as an email with the same number. I've traced it back to a job posting I responded to from a company called Meganiches.
The email I received referred me to a website called Jobnab.
Conveniently both Mehaniches and Jobnab are owned by a company called Network Solutions. I guess they figured no one would make the connection.
They are NOT helping people find jobs. They are using the fake job postings to get people's information then trying to convince them to sign up for more information about furthering your career through education.

Why would we call back? What's the upside?
IronmAidenFan 2010-03-30 17:48:59 Unknown
So, what are we going to do? Nobody is going to call back?
Brandon 2010-03-30 17:06:59 Unknown
Sorry, just joined the group. I got the same text message, I'm assuming. I don't know who it is or what they want. Wish I knew. Let me know if you guys figure it out!
Donovan 2010-03-30 16:24:09 Unknown
Why would they text instead of just calling? It just doesn't make any sense.
Noelle 2010-03-30 16:04:44 SMS
I got the same text I guess. It didn't have a name in the caller ID block of my cell or have the name of the person I'm calling in the message.

I got a text msg too. No idea who sent it.
