Don't be fooled, all calls are not monitored. It's not like its 911. I once thought that too. When I needed to them to look up a call they said they only do that sometimes.

I saw a post on one of the sites from the Colorado Attorney General warning that they are collecting without a license in Colorado.  You may want to check and see if they are licensed in your state.  Here are more links to their other phone numbers.  They also call from 8773650025, 8778131682 and 8004932143.

Then why would it be that when I called this number and asked for extension 102 and called a second time asking for extension 106, I get the exact same people when I call the number 904-683-7735 which answers as Florida Recovery Credit Services not the Florida Recovery services which shows to be the medical billing.

And if you do not practice business like this, then why was I threatened with being arrested for hot checks because my payday loans didn't clear if they were not cleared up by the same business day the call was placed.  (they don't arrest people for that under Texas law - post-dated checks are exempt) - check it out....Texas Penal Code Title 7 Chapter 32, Subchpater D.
This is a threat and intimidation, both illegal under FTC.

And why when my mother called back on my behalf (posing as me) she was told that "if I were you I would be calling my friends and relatives and have the money by tonight" and when I explained on her behalf that she had no one with extra money who could help her, your staff member says "oh come on, you must have some friends and relatives THAT LOVE YOU ENOUGH to help you out.  Very offensive and intimidating - again - illegal practice under FTC and Texas Consumer Protection.

So, I beg to differ Mr. Schaeffer - but if this is truly your phone number to respond to then you are sadly mistaken if you think these practices are not going on at your company - THEY ARE.  I am sending a formal request for them to stop contacting me (which is the way both FTC and Texas OAG office says to stop creditor harassment) and if it doesn't I will be filing a complaint.

I got a call from 904-683-7735, the man left a message saying that he needed to get in contact with a family member, that " a decision has been made and that if he or his lawer does not get back to me, then there was nothing he could do to help."  a very threating tone.   I searched this # and it is to the Florida Recovery Services LLC.    The jurk deserved to be hung up on, scam or real.

Legit collectors per section 809 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf *must* tell you at initial contact, or send you paperwork within 5 days of initial contact, the following:
1. $amount of debt,
2. name of the current creditor (which may differ from the original creditor who might have sold your debt),
3. a statement that that debt will be assumed to be valid unless you dispute in writing within 30 days,
4. a statement that that if you do dispute in writing within 30 days, the collector must mail you written verification of the debt,
5. a statement that if you ask the collector in writing within 30 days, the collector must send you the name and address of the original creditor if it's different from the current creditor.
If you don't get the 5 disclosures, orally or in writing (you do not have to ask for them, the FDCPA requires collectors to provide them), treat the collector like you would any SCAMMER. Scammers are using bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.
The FBI warns about payday loan extortion scams here http://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/paydayloanscam_120710
The BBB has issued several alerts on this scam, just google "bbb.org alert phony debt collector"
Report to the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

The domains flofr.com and fldfs.com are both registered to the Portugal-based domain proxy "Domain Discreet" which is a favorite tactic of scammers who don't want to be found. I would *NEVER* deal with any collector who hides behind a domain proxy.

Given that Jason above said on 17 May 2011 that he was told he owed debt from 6 years ago, it's highly likely that this collector bought ancient debt from original creditors or debt brokers and is trying to collect on it. Banks don't keep debts that are that old; they sell them to get some money back. Check here http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/SOL-by-State.html to see the statute of limitations for your state. If expired, don't pay.

The collecter generally has to be licensed by your state to practise (collect debt) in your state and you can find out by calling your state Attorney Generals Office and ask if it's licensed. If not licensed, report this collector to the AG and do not pay.

Since Florida and World Recovery Systems are third party debt collectors, they are subject to the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf  Be aware legit collectors per section 809 of the FDCPA *must* tell you at initial contact, or send you paperwork within 5 days of initial contact, the following:
1. $amount of debt,

what is even more annoying is all this bad information.  perhaps you should get a life.  I have one, I just think it is so funny that all you people are so ignorant.  talking about some other company that has nothing to do with any of this and providing their address and other inaccurate information.  not every 800 number that calls is a scam.  and the "do not call list" only applies to solicitation and sales calls.  if you don't like it then go to another site or don't read my comment.

listen.  your best option is to provide an email.  even if it is one you do not use frequently (if you are worried about hacking or a scam or some crap like the rest of these people).  they can send you an immediate copy of a statement of your account, along with settlement offer if you are interested.  that is the fastest way to get the documentation you want.  you can also request that they send you a copy of the signed affidavit which is all they need in order to seek further legal remedies that are available to them.  if it does go to court, all the judge needs to see is that signed affidavit from the bank in order to hit you for the balance they say you owe.

This is Florida Recovery Systems. They collect debt for over drafted checking accounts.  I have done some reasearch on this company.  I was getting numerous calls for my daughter and after doing some research found out exactly who they were.

Get your facts right... you must be some kid playing around on a computer just bored with theirselves.  If you look at the License for this company you will see it it a legiate company.... I had a charged off account that went to FRS for my Wachovia that I had just recently took care of with them.  I was Skeptical at first but was informed I could get myself removed from check systems.  I have now since then after paying been able to open up a new checking act and improve my credit rating.

my goooodness you people are so misinformed and coming to conclusions on your own that are soooo incorrect.  FRS:  https://real.flofr.com/consumerservices/searchlicensingrecords/
this company collects valid charged off accounts for wachovia, bank of america, US bank and Huntington National as well wells fargo and a few other's.  the number they are calling is the last number that the bank had on file for them.  it is not a scam, it is not fraud or some scheme to get your social security or credit card information.
