junk fax, health insurance scam, this is the ``remove'' number

It is a very very bad company, keep sending you junk fax.  I contacted them many times, still send those junk.  Finally, I found a good way to deal its clients, send more junk fax back.  I sent once a two hundred fax to a company! I have never seen the company sending any junk fax again.

Seems that they have started on New York (Rochester).

I am sorry, but this company is a total scam - hence the constant change of company name and phone numbers.... They just want your credit card information.

I deal with the public on a daily basis, and can tell you that the unprofessionalism and mannerism of the "travel agents" on the phone is a dead give-away.

Just try it your self: call and politely ask to be removed from their fax list (call the 1-800 or 1-888 number listed on the fax). Be polite, but firm, and you'll see how the agent instantly becomes rude and attempts to belittle you.

I am not the sort to upset easily, so I found it a bit humourous how he tried his best to upset and taunt me with his attitude over the phone...

Just because you received a fax advertisement that you dont want, does that make the company a scam? Does that make them not real or that they are ripping customers off?? I don't think so. I can't speak for all, but I can speak for Central State Travel in that they are only one of MANY companies that advertise by fax and any one could have received a fax from a different company. I see 3 company phone numbers there that you have mentioned that are UNAFFILIATED with each other but use the same fax deletion company which  is the 877 number you mention.
Did it ever occur to you that if you call these people with a kind tone of voice and ask to be removed that it would get done? Central State Removes numbers DAILY. They are sent in and removed, but working there for some 3 years now, I have been abused by people calling in and not even saying "HELLO" but more like "You are a bunch of F%^#%^#  Losers..." etc etc.. Now if you get that type of attitude you have one of a couple of options, you hang up or you retaliate, after so many times of calling you finally get fed up and retaliate, SO DO NOT BELIEVE THE ONE SIDED STORIES THAT YOU SEE HERE AND BELIEVE THAT THESE PEOPLE THAT ARE COMPLAINING HERE, have more than likely called in and abused the agents, spoke rudely, or cursed first. As long as I have been here, I have never heard an agent curse at a client one, (not saying that they have not, because I have been close myself but I have not heard that.)  we hang up, and if we argue back, Its because you refuse to give us the number and decide that cursing at the agents is good for you. MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE ASSUME THAT WE KNOW THEIR NUMBER AND INSISTE THAT WE REMOVE IT WITHOUT GIVING IT TO US..
HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS - IF you receive something from our company, call the number to be deleted, and it will get done, if you feel you have to speak with an agent, call kindly and request it to be removed, we do not need the stories, we have heard them all, we just need the number and it does indeed get deleted NIGHTLY. If you call and start giving a story, you are just going to get a negative response and the number will probably not get deleted because it wont get to that part of the conversation. JUST Give your number and say thanks and believe. NOW, other companies, I can not speak for.
Our company is licensed, bonded and insured and been in business for many years, if we were scamming, or ripping people off, we would not maintain a state license for one, nor would we have a surity bond or the accreditations that we do.
JUST try and understand that if you do not want a fax, call and ask to be removed, understand that it is not always from the same company. If it did not get removed, it was probably because it was input wrong or you were not clear on giving the number. Many times people call and give their PHONE Number and NOT the FAX number to be deleted, that happens often. Sorry that many have problems with this, but telling you truthfully, our numbers are deleted nightly and we try everything we can  to not send you something if you do not want it.
Our ads do not go out everyday they are only when we have overbuy packages.
Our company sells packages to several companies out there who sell them for a profit and again, we have nothing to do with them except fulfilling the package and making sure you get on a great vacation as told and promised,
As for HEALTHCARE, we are not and never had any affiliation, ROOFING? Seriously, we are not a roofing company, and anything else, it is only that they are using the same deletion company, I hope this makes this clear for all and bottom line, if you want your number removed, dont be abusive to the agents they do not fax you, it is a company that is hired to advertise, not the agents. Those are people trying to make a living just like you. If they could eliminate all,  they would because they prefer to only take calls that are looking to buy! make sense?

Have tried sooo many times to have my fax nimber removed, to no avail!!
TRIED to talk to a female and a male at 1-800-323-4154 also to no avail. I'm quite sure neither of these neandrathals have any grey matter or any social skills. Can't imagine anyone actually calling them to book a trip. Can't even credit them with being scam artists, even scammers have to have some conversation skills. Finally said I was turning this over to the police and hung up. Have tried the number again, and it is now , so the recording says, unavailable from this [my]area.

I live in Maryland.  877-455-1002 is the given removal number for a 'business', Traditional Roofing, allegedly in Lutherville, MD.  The 'business' gives a street address and office number, 9 West Ridgely Road, #258, Lutherville, MD 21092, (410)558-4562.  800Notes has said this 'business' number is a hoax, and apparently the removal number is used by many.  

I did call the 'business' number and got a recorded message for the 'business'.  I imagine there is no 'business'; there is just a recorded message for anyone who might call.  I also Googled the address and the 'business'.   The address appears to be a strip mall, but of all the business listed at this address, Traditional Roofing was not one of them.  

I am reluctant to call the fax removal number because I don't want to provide any more information for this user's database.

Keep getting faxes for Florida Vacations. The Travel agent is in Florida and the fax removal number is 1-877-455-1002.

I keep calling the number to have my number removed, but they keep sending me faxes. Today, I called the Travel Agent and demanded to know which Fax Service Company they use. They replied that they used many. I gave them the fax removal number as an identifier and asked for the company name as I was going to purse other remedies. The Travel Agent replied that they are able to remove my number, so I gave it to them.

Te number that you are referring to is probably a fax deletion number that is used by companies that fax. THIS DOES NOT CONNECT THESE COMPANIES and they probably have NO IDEA that anyone else is connected to that number. The number is used for each company that faxes THAT day and you remove your number that day. It could be used for another company on another given day.
You can not blame ONE company for all the faxes you received. The companies that delete, are out there and they are hired by fax broadcasting companies. Because you received one fax from someone does not mean that the next fax you receive is from the same company. There are many credible and respectable companies out there that do faxing.
A word of advise because I worked for a company that did, call and be nice and kind and ask to be removed, being a jerk or rude, gets you no where and most of the time, they will not even bother with you. Call and ask kindly and I can assure you that company will do all they can to get you off of their list, call and be rude and abusive and they will send you more or ignore you. Kindness gets you far. Just a word of advise.
I worked for one of the travel companies frequently mentioned and They do all they can to remove the numbers that want to be removed and they do provide quality vacations. I had a very good career there and have moved on into the real estate world. Thanks.

"Allied Health Professionals" and using a response number of (888) 633-2750.  The number (877) 455-1002 is the alleged removal number.

The link I noted states to call their number, if you feel like acting lol and pretend you are interested long enough to get their numbers.  Have someone interrupt you so you can say something like, I'll have to call you back - something just came up.  Check it out, it has some good ideas lol.

They are very rude people so beware.  I am in BC, Canada.  Another post above mentioned something about Surrey BC, Canada.

Is there any way to figure out HIS fax number?  We could bombard him with crap and also put in a block feature to stop his crap...

We are in Canada, received a fax with the removal number of 1-877-455-1002 but am afraid if I call it I will end up with more unwanted faxes wasting our paper and toner.  The fax says it's from "Central State Travel" with toll free # 1-800-203-9974 to get a "great deal" on travel to Florida and Bahamas - wow only $299! but when I look up this travel agency their phone number is different??

After my 3rd attempt to remove my fax number from their listing by dialing the number at the bottom of the page which states dial "1-877-455-1002 to be DELETED from our mailing list" I phoned and spoke to a very arrogant loser guy.  He was talking like he was soooooo happy.  What a loser job huh?  After I said I don't want to be faxed and to remove my number from his lists, he said ok, amd then I mentioned it was the 3rd attempt at this and he says "GOOD FOR YOU!"  I called him a bunch of expletives, which felt so good first thing in the morning!

After I hung up on him I clicked the chat live and chatted with Jay and said he should look up what everyone says about his crap site and how it's pathetic he spams so many people.  I told him if he doesn't stop he will become my new project.  He said it wasn't spam, ha! LOSER! Call it what you like.  He then went on to say he was now going to send me 5000 black faxes? lol whatever loser, get a life and get a real job, why would anyone EVER want to do any business with them? Wow.

I looked this information up just now.  Like I said, this has become my new project. lol

Sending an unsolicited advertisement by fax is illegal in the U.S. and many other countries but a surprisingly large number are sent. I got the health care fax

I've been receiving faxes for MONTHS now at a rate of about 1 per week regarding Heath Insurance.  The fax claims it is a follow up to an inquiry I made which is not true.  The number to call to be removed from their call list is 1-877-455-1002.  

Please make these people stop!  They seem to be spamming across the entire county.  This fax was received in Hattiesburg, MS.

I've been receiving spam faxes from these people for some time now in British Columbia, at increasing frequency. This time advertising to "Plan your 2010 Vacation Today". The contact number is 1-800-203-9974 and the removal number is 1-877-455-1002.

Received a couple of faxes in the past week with this number (1-877-455-1002) as the removal number.   "Closeout special" for "CS Travel".  Their "toll-free" number is listed as 1-800-292-4453. A quick search for CS Travel (http://www.cstravel.org/) lists their contact number as being 1-800-816-1846 (sketchy looking website).

Advertising 14 days in Florida & the Bahamas for $299 pp Dbl. Occ. (Total pkg retail value: $2700), with a "complimentary bonus included if ordered today (5 days Cancun, 7 days Puerto Vallarta plus 3 days Las Vegas)."

The above offer (or anything like it) is not mentioned on their website.

Guess they have switched from insurance to a travel scam.

They are in Sioux Falls, SD. You would think they could get a person to make the recording about removing your number from their list (which I doubt they do) who can speak English better. That Russian chick sounds like she is reading a script while drinking vodka.
