Remember this folks...you can always go to your local Dealership and buy a Warranty at any time. The manufacture will NEVER contact you and try to sell you a new warranty. That is not the business they are in. If you receive a letter or phone call, or email...it is a scam and most likely never cover any of your issues. A woman with a heavy accent called and left a message on our answering service, reference an automobile which we USED to own - but which we sold in September of 2013.  She said it was VERY important that we call back.  When we returned, we returned the call to 877-466-3200, as she requested.  However, when we dialed in, we were met with a lot of crazy, blaring music.  After waiting a few seconds, we hung up, because we didn't know if this was one of those trick calls - and we were afraid that, by dialing back, we were going to get hit with charges for hundreds of dollars per minute for some sort of International call.  We thought it was very unusual. We DID pay for an extended warranty on our NEW automobile - which we arranged for through our dealership.  But, since the individual agents receive some sort of commission for whatever they sell - we figured that we would have received a personal call from the agent who sold the car to us - NOT a message from an unknown foreign woman.  

I received a call from this number offering an extended warranty on a vehicle I no longer own.He barely could speak english.
I didn't call him back.

Charlotte from Dealer services left a voice message about a 2010 Chevrolet and the conversation started with a disgusting COUGH. Eeew. Sounds fraudulent. Message deleted.

I received a call from this number... I let it go to voice mail as I didn't recognize the number. The message was to call Glenn Smith at Dealer Services about my Volvo... then left a reference number. A few red flags popped in my head... 1. He asked to speak to me using my more common name... and NOT the name I purchased the car with, 2. He called on an unlisted Google Voice number that the dealership doesn't have on file, and 3. I have owned my car for over 10 years! So I googled the phone number he left and stumbled across all of these complaints. Thank you all so much. I won't be returning the call.

I finally called back the number and she asked "why" haven't I renewed my warranty? I asked who I was speaking to and she said Dealer Services.  I said I have never had an extended warranty and she told me that's correct and WHY?
HUH?  I said this is a Volvo - my warranty was up 2 years ago!  She then told me that Volvo doesn't have a warranty center and it's only them? They do ALL Volvo warranty work - ONLY.  Volvo doesn't carry a warranty any of their cars?
So confused - told her to please never call again, what a loser.

A"bianca rodriguez" called me, gave me the reference # and said it was important about my nissan. I know i dont owe a bill cause it is always a month ahead. When i called back it didn't ring or anything, it just had a recording saying " goodbye" and that was it. After reading other posts though, i agree this needs to stop!!!

Got a message to call back this number "very Important". They gave a reference number and knew my vehicle, which is disturbing. The most disturbing thing is that they have my phone number. I have moved three times since I purchased the vehicle and re-registered the auto in another state with a completely different phone number. The only way they could have acquired this information is if they got it from the Department of Moter Vehicles. I was unaware that they would publish my phone. So much for the Government protecting your privacy...

Another ploy to take your money.  DON'T DEAL WITH KNUCKLEHEADS!  Matter of fact get them to call the local FBI office as a referral.

I received a call from this number claiming they are from dealer services and gave me a refrence number. this was about my vehicle i owned.

877 466 3200 is a call from warranty services and they say it's important to call, they use your name and the brand of the car but not the make.  I did not call back.  

I received a call from a Jerry Madden, Dealer Services who wanted to sell me an extended warranty for $3328.00+ on my car to cover the power train for 100,000 miles.  He couldn't understand why I didn't give him a method of payment right then.  I told him I didn't know him from a load of coal and I was going to verify Dealer Services with my car dealer.  Sure enough, it's a fraud.  

I am an employee at dealer services and to let you people know it's not a scam cross my heart and hope to die I'm not lying

The call rung twice and was manually callback   no company identity and put on hold a woman voice like if there hiding behind the  phone-a a quick hang up.   Not a professional business.  possible scammer or pranking

I received several calls from this number. Although I asked them to stop calling me, but they keep calling my number. Tired of this crappy warranty offer.  Is there anyway I can block this number for good? Please advise.

HEY GUYS, IF THE SCAM ARTIST FROM THE I.R.S IS'NT CALLING ME. THEN THESE IDOTS FROM A CAR WARRANTY COMPANY IS TRYING TO GET MY PERSONAL INFO, BUT THEY WILL NOT ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS,,,,,IT'S ALL ANOTHER SCAM.     ALWAYS SOME MIDDLE EASTERN M/F WITH BROKEN ENGLISH.   DEAD GIVE AWAY !!!!!!!!!

They called my workplace: a hotel. Heard nothing on the other end and the call ended 4 seconds later.

These people called my home phone, and told me it was important I call them back.  I called.  They offered me an extended warranty.  It's a scam.  First, they had no idea what model car I own; second, they told me I have a 3yr/36,000mi warranty when I actually have a 6yr/60,000mi.  They also told me I had 24hrs to make a decision to extend, or lose the chance to extend forever.  I happen to know very well my car company actually allows me to renew anytime before the existing warranty is over .  WRONG, WRONG, WRONG  .   I laughed and hung up....GIVE THEM   NO TIME  AND  NO INFO!

Left message about Chevrolet, and since GM is having their extensive recall and our son drives a Malibu, I called back. He said it was CRUCIAL that I extend the warranty and when I declined, he said "Well good luck -- you're going to need it." I asked if that was a veiled or tacit threat,and he asked "Ummm... Are you an attorney?" and hung up.

Got a call from this number from a Ray Rayburn. Called back and got a recording. When he called and left a message on my machine, it was very rushed and his voice was very threatening. He didn't even repeat the information so this to me was fishy. Don't give out your info to these people, I believe it's a scam.

These people called about my Dodge Ram Truck; they are warrenty insurance company.. do not call them back.. up to no good. Saying they are with Dodge Service center; are full of it!

Just received a call from this number and it was automated voice-- missed what they said seeing it was very quick - called back- something dealer- I asked them to remove my number from their list-- they said I need to give my number which I did-- then asked for my name- which I refused. I asked how in the world they got my number and was told everything was computerized and can only remove me if they have my number and name and wpould take 2-3 weeks to come off list-- I told them they must already have my number and name seeing they are calling me-- told them this is creepy-- an hung up.

This is definitely about selling extended warranties on your vehicle.  I believe the reference number includes the year  (last 2 digits) and make of your vehicle.  Mine was A11 KI 088. Which is a 2011 Kia.  They must get the phone numbers from the dealerships, I presume, which had both my home and cell phone numbers.  They left a VM saying they were Dealer Services which is probably not the real name of the company.

This company called me at work--I have no idea how they got the number.  When I called back, they were rather rude when I asked them what company they were with and why they were calling me at work.  The most I was able to determine was that they new what the make, model, and year of my car and were trying to sell me an extended warranty.  

I called back and it is an empty air sound then a female voice says goodbye

Received a call from Shawn Buyanny (sp?) regarding my Hyundai, gave a reference # and said to call back, which I'm not going to do.

Received a call from 877-466-3200. "This is Dealer Services" (rather fast and mumbled). His name was Ezra __________ and it was very important that I call him back ASAP about my Honda. I was to give a reference number when I called. This sounded suspicious so I did a reverse phone look-up. This site saved me from making a huge mistake. Thank you!
