Same here- - I received the "not in service" recording when I tried to call the local phone number that showed up on my caller ID (though the message says to call the 877 number)

Exact same call from 877-475-1340 as xfitz (above) except my chirpy, cheerful voice was "Jason"   I hope reporting this number does some good.  On my way now to try and put an end to this annoying stuff.  Caller ID on my cell phone shows it as a local area code in my city (local number 560-6792)  but the message is to call that 877 area code  number.

Received the exact same message on my cell phone early this morning.  Mine began with the upbeat, friendly voice "Hey, it's Jason" -as though I should know who Jason is. My outgoing message identifies me by name and I'm on the do not call list, so there's no reason to get this call.

Taped cryptic msg to cell phone.  Sounds like B.S.

It's debt collectors.  Apparently 2 people had my number previously, and they have stuff in collections.  I have been getting repeated calls each week from all sorts of different toll free numbers with the same BS voice-mail from the same person, yet he gives a different name each time, (this last one was Marcus Cornwell, but there's also Gary Homwell or something, and many many others).  I thought if I ignored the calls, they would stop, but they got worse.  So I called back asking why the heck they were calling me, that it's considered harassment.  I said that they were to stop calling me immediately.  The person on the line asked what number they kept calling, and they told me the names they have on record for my number.  I don't know either person at all.  So they apologized and said they removed my number.  Guess we'll find out.  If they keep calling, I'm going to find out what I can to do report them.

It's a debt collection agency. They keep calling even although they are lookking for someone else.I told them to stop calling and put me on the do not call list. They do not care. They call at 8.55 pm and wake up my kids, These guys should be put out of business. When you call them back they either hang up or don't say who they are. Report them to your State attorney General. They leave voicemails for the wrong peson once a week. Really annoying, they can't even to get there facts correct. They deny calling me but I have the caller ID to prove it. Take them to court and get $500 per call for harassment each time they call.

Got a strange call today.  Uber friendly and upbeat male voice recording by a man named Darrel Johnson. He "still have a file in mmy office that I need to verify some location information on regarding someone you know and some conflicting facts that was on the file but I cannot leave propriety information on your voice mail......." He wants me to call to "review these facts together".  Have anybody returned these calls?  What type of company is this? Are they legit?

I got a voice mail on my cell phone this morning from a man named Donald Johnson, though he sounded mysterious and wouldn't leave the name of the company he works for. Just that he was looking for someone I may know and wanted to clear up a file. I have no debt and my phone number is a week old. I don't bother with something like this as there are way too many scams going on as it is. If it's that important, I'm sure they would find another way to make contact with whomever they need to get a hold of.

A guy named Derek called and claimed that he or his associate, Ashley Bennett, could be contacted to clear up a file of someone I knew.

I was like who r u lookin for and they told me dat they b looking for my brother. They also say dat it was bout some claim. I toldy bro and he said dat he has to call them.

I've been getting calls from this number for about 6 months now. always the same guy, same message, he just gives a different name each time; the current being Eric Fitzgerald.  It's aggravating as hell, I'm going to see if I can have the number blocked.

I've been getting these calls for a LONG time.  The names frequently change, as well as accents, but the message is always the same: I have a file and let's get this "wrapped up."  I'm not convinced it's a bill collector because I have no unpaid debt.  It's some sort of b***s***, though.

Just got a call from this number. Trys to sound important and as if they were an atty or something. Total BS. Its a debt collector guys!!!! i called the number back and it said " youve reached our after hours voicembox if your calling about a wage garnishment or a pending lawsuit, please leave your detailed information, or file Id number, and a phone number with in your message." Eh if i were you, if your getting this call and you def have a debt, dont call these people, i am almost positive they will attempt to garnish your wages or similar! Be careful!

Just received a VM on my cell phone from Eric Fitzgerald, stating I needed to contact them in regards to someone I know.  So very annoying!

I just got a call from that number saying they had important properties of mine to discuss and about someone close to me.  BOGUS!

I've gotten the same call from 5 different people with the same accent, etc.  It's always the same proprietary info he must discuss with me.  This time he used a different phone # the msg was the same. I'm calling my phone compancy to see what they can do to help.
