obviously a scam, you call back and they ask you to make a purchase w/ your credit card info

SCAM!!!!!  Tried to order an ACAI Berry supplement product and keep getting calls from this and another number as Order Confirmation Dept.  But, it's a huge scam and I got a few B/S charges to my card.  Luckily I cancelled early and stopped this.  If you made an internet purchase for some sort of acai berry, dental white, or a colon cleanse (so far this is what the scammers are using according to my research) CANCEL YOUR CARD RIGHT NOW!!!! or at least pay real close attention to your statements.  They use a crapload of bogus charges from different companies ranging from $.99 - $100.00 but can load up a whole bunch of charges throughout a day...

I have received many calls today from 408-587-2125. I just received a message stating this caller must verify an internet purchase I made.

I got the call from "Amy" saying to call 877-475-4180   --  from callerID 813 774 5150

Scammer wanting me to verify my recent internet purchase.  No answer in call back AMY was the caller who left a message on my recorder.

Same as above, I had recently made an internet purchase and received a message on my recorder to verify my recent purchase.  I tried to call back several times but there was no answer, just ringing, then a pause then ringing and so on.  I too was concerned but after reading this helpful blog, as I suspected it was a scam to get my cc info.  Thank you to all of you, now I won't be concerned about this anymore.

I got a call from a lady stating that she wanted me to confirm an Internet order. I called and stated that I did not make an order for a product called Res V and then they gave me the number 1-800-440-4394 to cancel an order I did not even place, needless to say the phone just rings and rings and rings and then after a very long time states please call back later and then hangs up on you. This is a total scam and make sure you do not give out any information to them.

I was just called on this number two a few times today. I finial called back. Got a guy saying my husband order a book. I said I don't think so. So I told them I would have my husband call them back. I didn't give them any infor on any accounts etc. So now Iam worried sick if I have been scam. If I have they clean out my account. Where do I turn to for help?

"Amy" want me to call 1-877-475-4180 to verify internet purchase. Well I have recently made an internet purchase but I have talked with them already. When you call the number it just hangs up.  It doesn't even ring. They need to stop calling my house before my father freaks out. He has had a stroke and the phone bothers him, epecially calls like this!

I just got a call from this person [sounded like a recorded message] wanting to verify a RECENT purchase I made on the internet. I HAVE NEVER done this before but thankfully I have printed everything with a date and time stamp... At first it said I had to participate in purchasing 2 products. I chose ONLINGO - to learn Spanish and Earn Money at home with Google. I figured how bad could that be. I already have 2 web stores. Then it kept taking you to more pages and by the time I got to the end I had to purchase 6 things and the last one was either Minimum $2K purchase OR 5 night stay in a Luxury Hotel for $1600 MINIMUM or Book a TRAIN trip for a MINIMUM purchase for $1800.. GOOD LORD... for a FREE NIKON Digital SLR Camera, a MACBOOK and a $1000.00 Walmart Gift Card. I have tried to call that number 877-475-4180 and someone picks up and hangs up.

My husband has been charged about $340 and it all started showing up when he got a call from this 877 number!
I've been asking him for sometime why it always feels like we have money that is just disappearing. So today I went into his account and showed him how much all of these random charges added up to! He was beyond angry!
I checked the date of the first charge to his cell phone record and showed him that it was this number. We are currently clearning all of this up with the bank and getting him a new card for the account.
I tried calling the number today to see what they were all about, and the first time around I got hung up on before I could speak to anyone. And I kept getting a funny ring where it would pause... When I was finally connected to someone I could hear her talking in the background about how she wanted her full 30mins for her lunch because that's what they get by law, then she put it on mute, and then she came on the phone with her opening statement of her name and that I was calling the order department... WTF

I received a call yesterday from Acai wanting to verify a purchase I had made. I had no idea who this company was and had not made any purchase from them. The person who called just said she'd "take care of it at my end". I checked my bank account - there were 3 charges pending yesterday that I had not made from 3 different companies. Because that Acai call alerted me, I was able to cancel the card and the charges never posted to my account. Today I received a call from "Amy" on my answering machine asking me to call 877-475-4180 to verify a purchase. I don't return calls to anyone that does not identify what company they are from.   I don't trust them one bit. I suspect the 2 calls are connected from what I've read online in complaint areas. I also have no idea how the Acai person got my name and my phone number - she called me at home and asked for me by name.

Message left on my machine to call Amy at 1-877-475-4180 regarding internet purchase.  I had made recent purchases but suspicious that the specific purchase was not identified.  Checked number on line and found Amy has been a busy girl.  Obviously a scam to get your credit card number.

Message today for me to call 1-877-475-4180 to validate an internet purchase.  I'm not calling her back.

On Tuesday, 6 October 2009 got a call from "Amy", asking me to return her call about the online order I'd placed.  "Amy" gave the telephone number of 877-475-4180 to call her at.

I have NOT called her.  I suppose it's a fear of it being a scam, and my calling that number would be as good as a confirmation to an agreement that I know nothing about.  I'm normally a very intelligent person; so I presume that the thought of getting something usually pricey for only $1.97 each (for 1 of each teeth whitening products) for shipping & handling, made it sound like a great bargain.  But you know what they say about a great bargain...

Got the same call this afternoon, from a female named "Amy."  Said she was calling validate an online order but didn't say where she was from or what it was about.  Left this number:  1-877-475-4180.  I'm not calling back.

Received a recorded call saying: Please call Amy at 877 475 4180 to verify a purchase you made on the internet. No other identification of item or company

amy wants me to call her too.  I guess I need to verify the internet purchase I made.  goofy girl

Got the same call today from an Amy, etc, etc. I've recently made several purchases on the net so was concerned until I googled the number. Thank you to all who mention it here so we can all know when we're being scammed!!

I believe this call had to do with orders placed for "Colon Cleanse."  They (Amy) called 3 times, leaving messages with my husband.  Spoke to that person, finally, & it was a sales gimmick with them wanting to supposedly send me free Acai, but charge my credit card ... ONLY $39.  I said no, and was also thinking about cancelling my original order.

Same.  Got a call from 623-239-4511 asking me to call 877-475-4180 back a verify a purchase made on the internet

Just like others, I got call stating I was to "Verify" a purchase made on internet and to return call and ask for "Ami" this was in womans voice. I called 877-475-4180 (there were definite pauses in the "ringing" I noticed like it would ring for 3 to 4 times and then a pause and then continue (happened 3 times), got suspicious and hung up, call was noonish Sat. 8-29-09.I then looked up this number and found this venue,,,,,weirdos

I got same phone call today and called back and no one answers phone.. I also rec'd another call from a credit agency that is a scam also...must be from the first number
