Received that text also here in NJ.

Just got the same message.  This one was from 443-851-3619.  I did call and it was for a $100 card and all they wanted was $3.95 for shipping.  I told them I would call my husband and call back.  To be removed it says reply STOP and after chcking them out I am going to reply STOP.

I got a text from this number.  My friends and I have been calling the number for a week straight.  We have nothing better to do at work so we call at least 20x each.  It is a community service venture since they have annoyed us enough it is payback.  I would like to annoy this company enough that they will shutdown.  The people that answer seem t be extremely dumb and stupid.  But anyway just ask for Jason and tell him you are calling from the FCC he will flip out.  Also ask for a manager and they will hang up.

I just got the same exact message as you did yesterday.. definately a scam.. the 401 area code is from Rhode Island..

Got the same text as reported here (although there was no "stop" option).  I first checked out the orginating number on a Reverse Look Up. Didn't tell me who, but it did state it was from a mobile phone.  No legit company would have their people doing this on a mobile phone!  Digging a little deeper, found this list of comments.

My daughter just received a texted message and I call the number back. They wanted $3.95 to cover shipping. The gentlemen stated you could use a prepaid card to pay the shipping cost so that you do not have to use your credit card or bank account. He stated you could use the certificate at Wal-mart, Target, ect...I didnt't complete the call because I didn't have a prepaid card to pay the shipping.

Got the same txt today. They probably get $1 for every text returned to tell them to STOP and your carrier probably charges you for it as well.

I got a call from 515-441-0987- "Please call us @ 877-481-5023 We've been trying to reach you about your $ 100 dollar rewards certificate  to be removed from future offers reply STOP.  
I didn't do anything but delete it.

I got the same message. The text came from 2766965170.

yeah I just got a text from a number calling to tell me to call 877-481-5023 to get my 100 rewards card. I called them back and they said that I filled out a shopping survey out online and I had been selected to receive 2 $100 gift cards in the mail. They wanted my zip and date of birth. I kept asking who the company was that I filled out the survey for and they did not know because they do so many. I told her that I was just trying to figure out if they were a legitimate company and she said ma'am everything is recorded. I told her that just because it is recorded doesn't mean you are legit, so I hung up. I do not trust them. I was always told never to say yes to questions in situations like these. Do not call, pretty sure it is a scam, FYI.

I got the same msg. They didnt have any information about 'why' i am being awarded this $100. They wanted $3.95, then $4.95-then back to $3.95 to cover shipping to get me the $100. Sounds like a total scam-noone is giving out $, then asking for $$$. :/

Ii got a call from 254-304-7974 and a text (dont remember the number)  - Called them back and the person said that I was eligible to receive a free $100 gift card to major retaliers (Target, Walmart, Home Depot, etc) and that I had to pay $3.95 for them to mail it to me. I told the rep that I do not know who their company was and I was not comfortable giving that information to them. he promptly hung up on me. Sounds really fishy and like a scam to me.

Got the same message on July 12, 2012, but the number was from (423) 331-2504. No use in replying "STOP" because it was not sent via SMS short code. Doing so just confirms that you have a valid cellular telephone number. Add your number to the National Do Not Call registry and then file complaints after you receive more unsolicited calls and text messages.

This message on my phone actually shows that it's coming from 513-291-1282 and asking for me to call them at the 877-481-5023 number to get my $100 rewards certificate.

Received this text @ 9:21 this morning (4 minutes ago).  Wanting me to call them about a $100 rewards certificate that they've been trying to reach me about.  Replied for them to stop it now!!!

Got a text from this number saying they have been trying to reach me about a $100 certificate.  This text came in immediately after getting a phone call from a number with an invalid area code.  578-121-8324

I got a text message from phone number 215-869-8491 saying "We've been trying to reach you about your $100 dollar rewards certificate. Please call us @ (877) 481-5023"

I was sent a text message about a free $100 gift card. I already paid the $3.95 and it has been over a week and they still havent sent it yet.

HUGE SCAM!!!! DONT REPLY TO TEXT OR CALL PHONE NUMBER.

The meesage actual came from 808-218-2084 it is a scam

I received the same exact message except the number it came from was 859 691 0537.

I got a text from phone number 401-662-3860.  

The message was the following:

Do not respond to this at all. if you reply or call your confirming they have sent out this text and have had people respond.  They will sell your information to other marketing companies and you will get lots to text and calls.

Definitely a scam.  Just got some spammer texting spam messages of: "Hi, please call us @ (877)481-5023 we've been trying to reach you about your $100 dollar rewards certificate To be opted out from further offers reply STOP" Except this number came from 7194061648

Now it is about a 250$ wallmart gift card, also the number that it came from is 715-220-8161
