Received the text at 1802 on 09.24. Same message as above. I guess they've worked their way to the 573 area code. Freaked me out at first, again, central bank is real around here. Then I remembered that my brother got the same text a month or so ago in the 260 area code.

We got them as well at 8:01 pm 09/24. Not amusing when you are an actual Central Bank customer as we are.

I too had Paul's experience tonight. I have an account with Central Bank in mid-Missouri and was paniced my account was blocked as I am taking off on a trip. Thank goodness it is a scam. I need my funds. How do these a**holes get away with this stuff?? Scaring people and ripping some off who just do not believe it could be a scam.

Got the same message figured it was a phishing scam, but there is actually a bank around here caelled Central Bank and I happen to have an account with them, so I was curious. I called the number and got the message listed above so I entered a phony card number (1111-1111-1111-1111), then it asked for expiration date...i just put in a date, then it said, "For your security please enter your PIN number (I put 1111), then it said, "Your peronsal information does not match our records, please try again." Then the whole thing started over. So, clearly a major scam...no way would a bank ever ask for any of this information in a recorded call, but most certainly they would not ask for a PIN.

I received a text message from this number. I work at the Bank that it states it is from and know that my bank does not send these. It is a scam. The message indicates a block was on my card and to call the number. Do not call this number and ignore any text message from it.
