I hat toll free numbers calling!

I get a call from this number on my cell phone 2-3 times a day.  I never answer it (who would be calling me from a toll-free number). When I call back, it says call can not be completed as dialed.

Update! If you google "10 15 15 800" you get TONS of hits on what this crap really is, and why it's allowed to continue. Because they tell you of the charge, it is technically legal. DON'T CALL THE NUMBER!

First time the caller (obv. foreign) asked if he had reached a business, I said no. He then said I'd won a free Sprint cell phone. I said I wasn't interested and to stop calling me. Second time no one was there. When I called the number back it's a recording that says "The number you have dialed has a new national directory assistance service. Please dial 10 15 15 800. That number again is 10 15 15 800. To get information on the number you have just dialed, and be connected to a new national directory assistance service, brought to you by calling 10 15 15 800. Each call costs $5.49, not including an administrative recovery fee. The charge on your phone bill will appear as a charge to directory assistance Nevada. You can also call 10 15 15 800 702 555 1212 to be connected to a new national directory service."

got a call from this number and when I answer, they hung up. I called the number back and it starts off by saying 4.99 for the first minute....I immediatley hung up. This has got to bea scam of some kind. Hope it doesn't show up on my phone bill or that someone has access to my account from this.

I keep getting phone calls from 877-4-8036.  They will not leave a message.  Got one today.  Called back and a message said to call another # for the chat line. ??????

When I return the call a recored message states there will be a charge of $.99 if you want to be transferred to an International Directory.   Whomever is calling from this number...listed as Candada Fernandez  Pawtucket, RI is obviously a part of some type of scam.

call everyday and doen't say anything, then when call backed since on do not call list, it say for a charge of something..... then hangs up? this has to stop file a complaint like myself!

told me i was selected to receive a free home security system worth $700.00. I said just send me $500.00 cash and call it even, Then i just hung up. I still have not got my money or another call.

This call now says that there is new information from this line when you call back and if you want more informaton to press y to get a text message.  I press y and got an instant text message that say "reply Y now to ge tthe info on the # you are trying to reach. Wow what a scam.  1st the call dozens of times and now it looks like their trying to sell you a service that helps you look up bogus call like theirs. -eas

I get this call everyday and when I find out who is doing it I think some vigilante justice is fair game.If you are out there and listening be warned for your days are truly numbered.I would like nothing less than to be the man who witnesses your demise from thine own hands     /-\

Calls come everynight, no one there and no messages. Nucken sickos called my cell phn hung up.

I asked the caller, who sounded as if he were from India, why he was calling my number when it was on the Do Not Call list (and has been for months). He apologized. Then I said, I need to file a complaint, what (click!) is your name? He hung up. Thanks for the link above to file a complaint with the FCC. I did it.

it is not worth the bother to keep so i just look at my tv and if it is not some i dont anser it.

I got a callback from 401-475-1553, but I DO NOT THINK nun's info was correct.  I DO NOT THINK this number has anything to do with 877-487-8036.  A young woman called me back from the 401 number and was very confused and upset that her number was posted online in relation to the 877 number.  I believed her.  I would suggest  that you ignore that 401 number.  I'm back to square one.  If anyone makes better progress than this, please post.

I got a mechanical voice on an answering service, simply asking me to leave my name, number and a message.  I left ONLY MY PHONE NUMBER, no name, and a message demanding that the calls stop and warning the person of legal action.  We'll see what happens.  Will post if anything further develops.

Male of Orient descent phoned stating I would receive a free cell phone from Sprint for 9.95 shipping and handling charge...however when I asked if the s/h could be added to my invoice he kept talking in circles.

I also believe the same gentlemen to have called with an offer to get additional channels from DISHnetwork for $30 dollars a month...however this time instead of requesting cash they asked for a lot of personal information, that I would never give an unathourized caller.

Get a phone call 2-3 times a day also.  Using up the minutes on the cell phone and you can't call back as it states the phone number is not in service.  It is a one-way line.  If anyone out there knows anything, please share!  It is so annoying.

I called this number back, 1-877-487-8036. I did a *67 to block the call so they did not have my number. The response I got was "this number cannot be completed as dialed, please check the number, pua2ny. Does anyone know what the pua2ny stands for? I am calling the Department of Commerce in Minnesota to have them investigate this. They really should pass a law it has to state on caller ID the actual person, company, or whatever. That is why people get scammed.

They called me saying that I was chosen to receive something free but it was hard to hear because of static.

no message left has called a couple times here... I will report it to the do not call people I have had my number on there since it came out...

Received a phone call from this number at 7:08 am in the morning. Asked the person on the phone why he was calling at this time of day. All he could say was I'm sorry. Then asked for my daughter and told him she did not live at the phone number he called.  Said I'm sorry again. Then we both hung up.

This number calls nearly every single day. A message is NEVER left. When I try to call back, I hear a recording that informs me that my "Call Can Not Be Completed As Dialed".

i just got this call about 10-15  minutes ago. All i heard was static and some words, but  the static was so loud i could not understand the words no matter how many times i played it back on my answering machine.strangest call i have ever gotten.

This number calls our house at least once a day and its starting to drive me mad! Never anyone there or it hangs up!! This is only one of many numbers that clal here on a daily basis!! We are ready to change our phone number because of this! We even get calls like this...or ones with just loud beeps on the other end, at all time through the day or night...even 1,2,3 am in the morning!! And we are ON the 'Do Not Call List' since May of 2004!!
