The company is Allied Interstate based out of Minnesota. They are a collection agency and in 2010 were hit with a $1.75 million fine from the FTC for trying to collect debts from the wrong people. For the details go to: http://www.dailyfinance.com/2010/10/26/feds-f ... eat-violations/ When our government finally reopens I suggest you file a phone or online complaint with the FTC. Alternatively, you can email Allied at:
http://www.allied-interstate.com/about-us/contact-us/contact-us~form.aspx. They actually have a check off box for "I am the wrong person, please stop calling me". Or you can call them at (800) 811-4214. I emailed Allied advising them to "cease and desist" from further harassment and checked the box for "I am the wrong person". Time will tell if they comply with my email.

Ever since I got a new number, this number keeps calling my phone every day. It's always a recording from Allied Interstate...never a real person. Their recording says they are a collection agency trying to collect a debt. When I called them back to tell them they had the wrong person/number and to stop calling, I couldn't get anywhere. I listened to the same recording over and over again for about 20 minutes before finally hanging up. At least I did it via speakerphone so I could do other things at the same time, but just saying...very annoying. I wish they'd stop calling!

Not sure. Called on my work phone. They did not leave voice mail. Nothing on caller id.
