I got a call from this number last night. It was a lady said her name was Ashley and he agents have been calling me and have gotten no answer. I was to call her back by 5pm or futher action would be taken and it wouln't be good for me. Didn't call back.

I don't think this is quite true, at least in my case. I don't have any debt, old or new.
It is a completely bogus scam. This "Jimmy Lewis III" is as bogus as a $3 bill.

I've been getting variations of this call for almost two years.   When we moved in our house we got a new phone number.  Turns out it's the former number of a music company that must have gone out of business and didn't pay their debts.  Twice they called and pretended to be selling something or from a utility company (but the exact same number showed up on caller id) and asked if this was a place of business.  When I said no, it was a residence, they said they were very sorry, they'd take us off their call list.  Calls have continued to this day, with variations in the names and tones.  Sometimes they try the "jovial and friendly" message, sometimes the "stern and threatening".  Today's message was from "Keisha" and she was going to proceed with this matter, since they had not heard from me. Does no good to talk to them and explain it's not you, so DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE.

Just got the call for the first time this morning at 9:30 west coast time, 11:30 central.  If I wasn't home I wouldn't have known about the call untill after 5 here or 7 central time, kind of hard to call them back by 5 central.  What a bunch of idiots that have no idea what time zones they are calling.
Anyway, if I have any unpaid debts they would have to be a minimume of 12 years old or even older and I have know known knowledge of them at this time.  Wouldn't even think about calling them back without some proff that this is legit.  Sounds like a scam artist company and I will report to the BBB and my state Attorney Generals office to stop them.

I returned the call yesterday and they said I owed a dept to US Bank of over 1,000 dollars.  I told them he was full of it.  He said is this .(my name).. had my name right, with a last 4 diget of SS number.(8335).which was wrong.  I said you've got the wrong guy, that's not my SS number and put me on your do not call list and hung up.  My wife and I last week refi'd our house..I have an 814 credit score with no outstanding bills.  They are just on the low end of life and need our prayers...I am sure Jesus' loves them because not many others do from reading this thread.  Peace out.

They called me twice this month (August).  First time was a couple of weeks ago, the voice mail sounded like an older man who wanted to talk to me by the end of business that day and left me a call back number.  Now, I have been involved in a lawsuit against someone who rear ended me that left me life long injuries and with another issue that I am dealing with, I figured this could be important.  Turns out, according to them, it's a $100 debt from like 2008 from when I over drafted my account with Wells Fargo and let it die instead of paying it off.  The guy I spoke to told me that they wanted me to pay it off before they sent it to collections.  I said that I had no interest in paying it.  If Wells Fargo wanted that money they could have sent me a bill or something.  I also said that at this point paying it would do more harm than good to my credit score.  His reaction to this was like telling him the sky was purple with clouds made of aligators.  He didn't believe me about the credit score bit and also said that Wells Fargo had not reported the debt to anyone.  I still said that I had no intention of paying it.  That's where that call ended.

Today they called again, saying that it was Jimmy Lewis the 3rd telling me that it was an important matter.  So I called them back, it was about that old debt and even brought up my claim about paying it off hurting my credit score.  The guy I spoke to (I say guy, but I'm just being nice) said that it was the end of the month and it was my last chance to pay it before sending it to collections where I would end up paying the debt plus lawyers fees.  I said "Bush and Obama bailed the banks out with several billion dollars, so why does Wells Fargo suddenly need this $100 debt paid off?"  He explained to me that they weren't Wells Fargo.  So I asked, "So why do I owe you money?  You bought a bad debt and are wanting me to pay it?  If I didn't pay the people I actually owed it to, why would I pay the people who bought the bad debt?"  This guy went on about how I was contractually obligated to pay this debt and that I was no different than a bank robber.  I called him scum, he told me that I was a thief and that he loved his job because it forced "people like me" to pay their debts.  This guy sounded like he was doing the greatest work on the planet.  He said that he was going to go ahead and send my case to collections and that he wished me the best of luck.  

As soon as I got home I plugged the phone number into google, found this website and found that I was correct in my confidence that I was correct in refusing to cooperate with these crooks.

I've been receiving calls from this number 1 or 2 times a day.  I've tried calling back and usually just get more recorded messages.  The few times I've spoken to actual people, they are very rude, ask for someone who I am not, and hang up on me when I tell them to take my number off thier calling list.  I've really had it with them and would like to know what I can do about continuing to get calls from them after confirming that I am not who they think they are calling!!  UGH...

I keep getting calls from this number, sometimes as much as twice per day to my cell phone, started about 4-5 Months ago I think.   Its kinda funny because my cell is off most of the time and I don't get these msgs until 2-3 days later and "they needed to hear from me by the end of the day".   There were a few different voices in the past but seems to be the same guy now.   I really like the way he leaves the msg.... all stern and the like..... what a joke!   Don't these morons look up their own phone numbers and see all the people that are mad at them? Laughing at them?, ignoring them???? Ha Ha

just rec'd this call although the voice message saidor sounded like  "jimmy liberty III".

just got a call from this number stating they just got a file handed to them with my SS# on it and was urgent that I call before 5 pm today or they would have to make a decision on my behalf..  No company name  just a woman saying her name was .... bailey..

I received the same message on my answering machine today. I have been receiving all sorts of calls from different numbers all wanting me to call them for debts I didn't know I had, but if they don't tell me the name of their company on the message I don't call back. I have even been told that law inforcement officers are on they way to take me to jail for a warrent I had. Needless to say that was 2 months ago and I am still waiting for the officers to show up. lol I just ignore these calls now.

Don't owe anybody anything.  What's he calling me for???  Can it be stopped.

I've been receiving the same type of calls for over a year.  Different voices - never identify what company they're calling for.  I have never & will never return their calls.  If it's that important they need to send me a letter via registered mail.  My # is on both the State and Federal do not call lists.  I'm guessing they've
never heard of a "do not call" list.

I have got the same call about 8 times in the last 2 weeks. Today, the man said his name was Jimmy Lewis the III. I don't know what it's about and they never say who it's for.

I keep getting calls from this number.  They ask for someone who is not associated with me and I have told them they got a wrong number.  They keep saying they will remove me from their call list but they haven't!

This is a pathetic debt collection company in Kansas City. Caller is Jimmy Lewis III. They purchase old uncollected debts for pennies on the dollar and then make a last ditch effort to collect before the seven year statuatory limitations run out and the debt drops off you credit report. Don't return calls and whatever you do, don't pay them a dime or the seven year clock starts over. They have a |

I have no idea why I go a call, and the vague info left on the recorder..

Update - They just called me back again, asking if it was "Andrew" (I had never disclosed my name in previous discussions), I said yes, and he asked why I had called. I told them that I was just calling to get the company name so I could report them to the BBB, to which he replied "Oh, have fun with that", and hung up the phone. These guys just get nicer and nicer.

Update - I called them back and got a brad that sounds like jeff, but who knows. I asked what they do and they said they were from "Claims Enforcement Office", for a company named "Imperial". This is consistent with above comments, so I thought it pertinent to add this info.

Just got a accepted a call from these guys after weeks of calls. A man named Jeff asked for my wife, i asked what it was in regards to, he said his name was "Jeff", I asked where he worked, and he said it was about "Claims Adjustment". He was being vague and rude, and naturally I had already assumed it was a scam to begin with. I told him I needed to know the company he worked for, and the business he had with us, and he said it was "against federal law to disclose that information", then impatiently demanded to speak with my wife. I told him that he can keep calling all he wants, but he won't be speaking with her until understand the nature of the call. I told him that he was awfully demanding, and asked if he was a government employee, and he said he could neither "confirm or deny that" (lol). He said he would never call me again after being treated so rudely, and that i could explain to my wife the trouble we were in once he settled his affairs on his own end, then hung up on me. Classy guys. Aggressive, rude, and have the tone that would try and suggest to a person that they were from the government.

I receive intermittent odd calls (from a variety of numbers) that leave similar messages as mentioned in all the other posts.

however today, this number 1-877-490-2785 called, and the voice mail was an actual person stating their name was Kris and they were with enforcement dept of Imperial. Also said he would be available till 8pm.
lots of back ground noise, overall didn't sound professional.

if this was a scripted robo call, the actor hired to do it was terrible, at one moment it sounded like he hushed (or responded of sorts) someone else in the background.

Considering I've not received any mail in regards to any collection efforts from anyone, I will do as I do with all the others and ignore. If they know my cell number they should be able to find out my address...
