This company is using a different number 877-210-9275
There process called my brother looking for me and I called him back he starts talking crazy so I blocked his number. I called Capital Miller and Associate and the lady said I borrowed money and had it sent to a different account number that was not my checking account number but set it up to repay out of my personal and she had the last four digits of the account number and the last four of my social security.
FRUAD COMPANY.

Capital Harris Miller Associates - 100% Guaranteed
Capital Harris Miller Associates Lets You Look for a Reliable Payday Loan Lender for You
I have read nothing good about this company, they told me they were not a collection company but litigation company, and would not send me a "validation notice." that I was to look at my loan papers... since I don't remember any loan, therefore no loan papers, that cleared things up for me real fast, gave me and address of 500 North Michigan Ave Chicago, IL 60611 but no ste #, repeat call to ask recvd #300 . also refused to provide Tax ID # for company, I am more than willing to pay off my debts... if I remember them and have proof, these 'people' are rude and love to talk over you, any company I ever worked for would have fired me on the spot iif I ever talked to someone like that

they have contacted me so many times, refuse to send me anything.. I am now on their 'Block call' list
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:
?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

They have called my wife's 87 year old grandmother and mother. They threaten that they will serve me papers containing criminal charges if I don't call and pay them with a credit card. Calls are threatening and harassing. They have been asked 3 times to stop calling grandma. She is not well and this caused her much stress resulting in a panic attack and high blood pressure.

Time out everyone here. I think we are on the same team if we just step back for a moment. Not sure if Jackie's comment was intended for me or Tred. But in any case, she is very angry as a former employee (and we would all be as well). No offense taken here
First, she was likely posting the office address where she worked or payments were recieved in good faith. I searched on that, and did get a hit. I believe her and salute her courage for coming forward. Her details are what linked this thread back to that law suit
Second, I found that linked back to a "holding company" (linked to names she shared) that has been sued under Federal Law. My "informational post" regarded the holding company and previous suits is linked to the names she provided. (Patel and Mohindra)
From Jackie's perspective, it could seem like just more b.s. talking in "legalesee". Yes I am, but I'm on your side. The name Capital, Harris, Miller & Associates will disappear into thin air sooner rather than later (but the name of the holding company and its owner's won't)
From the regulars perspective, there is ALWAYS skepticism. We are used to people peeing on our legs and telling us it is raining every time we visit. IMHO Jackie is acting in good faith
Jackie, thanks for sharing that info. BTW, if you got the script, I'm sure many possible victims would benefit from reading it. You are mad now, and I would be too if I used to work there. Don't get mad, get even. Knoweldge is power, by sharing yours you will hit Patel and the Jabroni's where it hurts --- in the wallet by cutting the legs out from under their scam

Got the same types of calls. First one from a "locator" telling me I have a case against me and a case number. Told me to call the law firm handing the pre-litigation. Law firm called Capital, Harris, Miller & Associates. Spoke with a "Dennis Lee" who was nothing but rude and tried to be intimidating. Saying things like what is the account number for which we can use to settle this matter right now? Oh hell no! I'm not giving my information to anyone until a judge tells me have to! I told him I do not have a job or any sort of banking anything. He didn't like that, so he said "good luck and see you in court" very rudely before hanging up on me. The pho.e number from the locator was 864.249.1447 and the number for the "law firm" was 1.866.468.0435. SCAM!

I was called by a private locator hired by Capital Harris, Miller, and Associates regarding someone else. When I couldn't get them to tell me who they were and how they got my number I became suspicious. This is the number they left on my answering machine. 855-410-9602.

they are a scam and no one can be pursued for payday loans in any state. They are basic collections and the names that they give you at capital harris is a fake name. none of it is real... jonathan reed and rachel johnson does work in the same office. the goal is to trick you into believing that jonathan reed is coming and the only way to solve it is to pay money on the loan through capital harris miller and associates. They are a 1st party collection agency so therefore they are using a different technique to get your money before they sell it to a basic collection company who has to state the mini miranda. They are just collections. Notice on your credit report no payday loans ever show up on it. What a scam
| someone 2013-08-21 22:15:39 Unknown |
Yeah I have been receiving these phone calls from a field representative by the name of Johnathon reed in regards to a case # that they supposedly have against me told me to contact this number 8775120446 capital harris miller and associates I told them that they can go ahead and serve me with papers but my attorney will be present the moment they do. they have called my employer several times,left threatening messages on my work phone and personal cell phone. this company can kiss my a** and I am reporting them to the attorney general first thing tomorrow morning to have their company shut down. I spoke with a Rachel Johnson sd that that johnathon reed didn't even work for them that there company is outsourced we shall see about that.
