This guy has multiple aliases! It's the same guy using numerous toll-free numbers with a different name for each one. Says he's calling about a subject of a proprietary nature and can't leave any info on voicemail. Wants you to call him back and tell his "staff" you're returning his call. He makes these calls within days of each other as if you won't remember his unique voice with a different name (Doug, Wayne) and number!

I’ve never returned any of these calls because it’s so obviously bogus. Reading various posts has told me it's a collection service, Imperial Recovery Partners (Debt Collector). I think it's a recording made by a "robo call" set-up that probably rotates through various phone numbers, which makes blocking the number a waste of time.

I'm going to post this message every time he calls for the number he uses at the time. It only takes a minute to copy and paste to let others know ASAP to IGNORE HIM. If others do this too, it should put quite a dent in his harassment.

I too have gotten calls from someone named Doug McCallister and it is a recorded message stating there is an unclosed file that needs to be resolved and location information is needed for this person, but because of privacy issues they cannot leave the name on the answering machine and we need to call him back between 8-5 to settle this matter. I have no idea who this person is and I have not called him back

Called my son.  When DOUG McCALLISTER or MAX or whoever you talk to, they can't keep which bank they are talking about straight.  WellsFargo or US Bank.  Then Doug McCallister has never worked there.  They threatened to come to my son's workplace.  ILLEGAL. They say they are in Kansas City??  Which?  Believe me when I say, this is a money scam.  I am reporting this number and name everywhere I can so people don't fall for it.

Received phone call. Did not answer.

They left a message on my elderly mother's answering machine.  When I returned the call, the guy wouldn't tell me what his company did, unless I gave him my mother's phone number.  I told him to F'Off and I hung up.  They left 2 different numbers and 2 different names, but you don't speak to either of those people, without a phone number.  SCAM SCAM SCAM - run the other way!

I too got the same phone call..He  said he hand  some imformation about someone i  know & they need to go over it with you.   There conflicting infor and it is proprietary so they can't leave it on phone mail.  Call number between 8-5 ask for Doug. macallister,,?

I keep getting these calls from this Doug guy. I called back and found out that it was about someone I knew. It was about my father. I was told they were a process server and needed to get in contact with him in reference to some sort of claim against him. They wouldnt go into great details but he said something about property damage.

Just got the call from Doug McCallister.  I can't believe anybody falls for this.

Get a whistle or air horn and blow their ears off.

I have received repeated calls with the same message. Suspiciously vague, no company name or name of anyone they are specifically trying to reach. Insisting they need to go over a file. Also suspicious in that I received this call at 9 pm and it instructed me to call back before 5.   I am on the do not call list. I also called the number in the message and requested that they stop calling. The message mentioned something about a law office.

I have received many, many calls on my cell phone from this company trying to reach my son, which is an inconvenience as I am always at work when they call. I told them he could not be reached at this number and that it was my cell phone. When I refused to give them a number where my son could be reached, they told me that they would continue to ping my phone until I told them what they wanted to know. They are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and I have reported them to the FTC. Doug McAllister called me again today. I ignored the call, but he left a voicemail. They can keep calling me, and I just won't answer.

the exact same thing happened to me. My friend sent them a text after they called three times and they did not respond. But they keep calling me , they have called at least 9 times. How can I get them to stop?

It's a scam. 1-877-494-1531 is from Imperial Recovery. I got a call from Doug Mc Allister saying there's proprietary information that he could not disclose and there's an important file that you must get back to him.

Imperial Recovery sold their collection files to people who needs to make a commission. If your case is resolved with your creditor, do not speak to Imperial Recovery as they are scamming you to make a commission out of nothing.

I too have been getting this call, over and over again. It's from Doug McCalister (sp?) at 1-877-494-1531. I have not returned their call because I can tell it's a scam. I just wish there was something that could be done about these kind of people. I've already signed up not to receive solicitations over the phone, but this one keeps coming.

Just called this morning.  Recorded message was exactly as discussed above.  Recommended I call back TODAY, May3 (it's actually the 4th now) before 5 PM.  Received the same kind of call from a different number about 2 months ago.  We're on several "Do Not Call" lists.  EXTREMELY irritating.

I have gotten phone calls from this number as well. Haven't called back but tried to locate them by doing a reverse number lookup but nothing comes up.

Received call saying the same thing as reported..this number by a Doug McCalister (sp?).  
At 8:13 AM today a Kevin Swartz @ 877-486-2691 called with the same VM about 'needing information about someone I know'.

I do NOT answer unknown calls and have already reported their number as harrassing.  Does anyone know who they are?

Called me last nite @PM, it seems 2me if u answer one of these msg's, u can expect a lot more from diff numbers its as if they have thier own network of a**#%$@s.

Mom keeps getting phone call and same thing "ask for Doug" between 8-5.  I told her not to call back and glad I found the message board.  Thought it was probably a scam.  She's in her 80s and easily gets upset with these types of phone messages and thinks something may be wrong.  Luckily she checks first with us kids before calling anyone back.

Scam.  The same people call under a different number.  They leave a voicemail saying they have a file and it involves someone you know and they need to go over it with you.  They say there is conflicting info and it is proprietary so they can't leave it on the phone.  There are reports of this exact same thing on this site but from another number.  I just don't recall the other number.
