i got a call from this number and i own a ford. they call all the time. they need to stop

Got a call on my cell today 2-18-10.  No one replied when I answered.

2 calls, 2 days in a row. About the same time of day. I never answered and they never left a messsage.

Oops, that is, when Toyota calls and you give a good review, the service or sales person receives a small bonus...

This survey is like a report card to Toyota about the dealership that you used.  From what I remember (and I could be wrong) when Toyota emails (or calls) to get your input, your service or sales person receives a small bonus from Toyota (Toyota dollars).  This is the reason that the sales and service people try to be attentive to your needs, but also why they BEG you to complete the survey.  I do believe there is something in it for the dealership too, but I don't recall what that was.  

I used to receive these surveys by email and I liked that idea better.

Same here; Toyota recall service.  But if they are serious about wanting our opinion then they would leave a message and/or have better customer service.  They seem to be just going through the motions in order to satisfy some legal requirement without really caring about the results.

I got two calls today, the second just now at almost 8 p.m.  I answered the phone both times and there was no one of the other end.  Like most others, my husband took our Toyota in last week for the recall notice.  After reading the posts on here, I called the number and got a message that if I had a problem with service for my Toyota to contact the dealer.  It would be nice though, if someone would respond when you answer the phone when they call . . .

Toyota, Since buying a toyota I have receive MORE Bogus calls like this...they are annoying and relentless.  The local dealer in Des Moines calls everytime we get simple service and they BEG for good reviews...it's ridiculous and unprofessional.

I missed call; no message; so I called number back.  Toyota with no operator available at this time; "Have a nice day"; and hung up.  I just had recall services performed at a dealership.  Be nice if they called during normal hours and not at night!

got a call from 877 494 3940 and didn't know who it was.  All my bills are paid!  googled it and found out it was Toyota..im ok with that, i just had 3 recall orders serviced this week and i'm sure they are llooking for feedback on how well their service reps do.  it was nice to be asked, while I was at the dealership in lewisville texas, if I needed help and if I'd been taken care of by at least 5 people in a 2 hour time period.  i like getting good service as opposed to being ignored or put on hold while some one else gets helped.  its all good.

called my cell at 10:11 a.m.  Did not leave a message.  I just had my Toyota in for the recall repair on Sat. (3 days ago)

I got a phone call on my cell from this number and from reading the post, most likely it's a toyota survey cause I just completed a recall a few days before.

I brought my Toyota Camry 2007 for 2 recall fixes last Friday, April 16, 2010.  Monday, April 19, I received a call from Toyota for a customer satisfaction survey.  Yesterday and today I got 2 calls from this number (877) 494-3940.  However, no one answered to me each time I picked up a phone.

I got called on my cell phone.  I never answer when I don't recognize the caller.  Checked on reverse phone look up and the number is not identifiable.  Like the above callers, I did just take my car in for a recall to Toyota, so this may well be a Customer Service survey, but they should have an identifiable number.  Don't they know that people are suspicious of unknown callers?

Got a call from this number and no answer.

Received 2 calls today.  One left message today about a Toyota Customer Service survey.  Another call today no message.  Interesting since we have never owned a Toyota.

March 27 got call from 877-494-3940, when answered no one there.

I - fortunately - missed 2 calls on my cell from this place.  If I see the number come up again; I'll not bother to answer.  WHY can some Consumer Protection Agency just disconnect this number???  From reading these posts, it''s obviosly bogus!

Recieved 3 calls today, tried to answer, no one their... I called # back and was put on hold, so i hung up thinking it was some scam charging me by the second. i had my toyota in for service a couple a days ago for recall. Thanks everybody for posting , now I know who, what , where, how and why. :-)

Just got a call from this number. No message. I own two Toyotas and I just took one of them into the dealership last weekend. I've received calls from this number before right after I took the other vehicle into the dealership. Seems perfectly legit to me.

I dont think its a scam.  I just got my toyota recall fixed the other day.  The dealer told me that i would be getting an email or a phone call regarding the service.  He said its like his report card.

I got this number too and they didn't leave message either. However, I did just bring my Toyota Camry for recall service about 3 days ago.

Just called me... no message. Weird how the number doesnt exist. hmmmmmm,

I also got the same call. After reading this reports I called the number back.  The person answer quickly and all ready new my information. It was the Toyota Customer Satisfaction Survey. I to just had my Camry in for the accelerator and floor mats recall. What I didn't know was there was another recall to have the computer re-flash. That was done as well...They just wanted to know how i felt about the work that was done.

I got this also, and I let it go to voicemail, it's a Toyota Customer Service survey.  They left a message on my voicemail asking about my satisfaction, I just had my Camry in for it's recalls on the accelerator and floor mats as well, so it sounds like they are just doing some checking up to see how things are after the work it done.

I received a missed call on my cell phone from 877-494-3940, after checking this website I saw Alex's note about being Toyota.  I did just bring my car in for accelerator recall so I called the number back.  The agents were all busy but one came on almost immediately and did have all the proper info and didn't ask me for anything other than satisfaction of my visit to Toyota Service.  Unless I had read who this call was from on this post, I would never have called back.  Thank you Alex

Got a call today and no one was there when I answered.

I just called the number back and they appear to be a Toyota Customer Satisfaction Survey group.  She asked me about a recent experience with the Toyota Dealer I went to.  That explains why they don't leave a message, but I wish that they would.  When i called them back the number rang a few times, then a brief silence before the lady came on the line.  So I'm guessing they use an autodialer to connect inbound or outbound calls with survey reps.
