Got a call from them today (7/2/14) waited to be put through to the representative....I politily told them to take me off their list and not to call again however, the woman speaking just said "No" rude as hell and hung up on me. Next time they call I will mess with them with fake information just to waste their time. Low lifes.

Got a call from them today, used my cpr call blocker to block it. My home has become very quiet since getting the call blocker - wish I had done it YEARS ago!

We have numerious calls saying they can lower our credit card rate. We hang up and give them nothing.

Got a call this afternoon but I didn't hear it -- the DEFAULT on my cell phone is a silent ringtone (people I actually KNOW have their own ringtones, so I don't miss those calls!).
People, the DNC list DOES work -- but not against criminals who by definition are not following the law! In the many many years that I have been on the list, I have gotten maybe 2-3 calls from legitimate businesses (one way to tell they're legit: they apologize for bothering you when you tell them not to call again!). Before the DNC list, I would get dozens of telemarketing calls every month. The list made a HUGE difference ... but again, it doesn't work against CRIMINALS.
These scammers keep calling because there are idiots out there who buy their "services." When people stop buying, the calls will stop.

message with lower credit card bill..I talked to someone one day and told her I do not have any balance on my credit cards to stop calling. She hung up on me...Calls back 3-4 times a day. Please STOP CALLING......This is ridiculous.

Card Services - again. Promised this would be my last call if I didn't respond.
Hah!
rebecca 2014-07-01 21:13:42 Unknown
Wants to reduce my credit card rate; I have no credit cards. This is a scam. Never give out personal info, even if you have credit cards, ever, period!
Alicia 2014-07-01 21:04:31 Unknown
They also called me first from a Florida area code 786-219-0827...did not answer, so they tried the 877 phone number.
Now I have two numbers to link when I file with FCC, FTC, and State Atty. General

Blocked this number finally, too. They left no message.
Rich 2014-07-01 18:53:02 Unknown
This is just a BIG credit card scam. They want our credit card numbers so they can use it for their own purposes--DRUGS! .
Tom 2014-07-01 18:30:32 Unknown
I got tired of all these calls and bought me a good Call Blocker. Can now block individual calls, area number calls and block ID names. I like the Digitone.

Another unsolicited call even though I am registered on the "DNC" list.
maggie 2014-07-01 14:10:02 Unknown
Has anyone else received one of these credit card calls with the caller ID your own name and phone #? I did.
B Free 2014-06-30 23:57:05 Unknown
Credit call company offering 0% interest on balance transfers. Have asked in the past to be placed on DO NOT CALL LIST, but they continue to call.
SAM 2014-06-30 20:58:38 Unknown
SCAM CREDIT CARD RATE .
BUT USED A # THAT IS SHELL OIL????
LeKirsch99 2014-06-30 19:02:43 Unknown
They are still at it--Do Not Call is NOT working. Even complaints seem to do no good nor do they block the calls. I refuse to answer a call that is a Toll Free Number--or that I do not recognize.

I have the Panasonic cordless telephone Model kx-tg6842b (2 handsets)
You can block 250 numbers plus kill the one ring that existed on earlier models that only allowed 30 blocked numbers. The one handset model sells for $70 at Amazon.
I also got recently the Pro Call Blocker version 2.2 which allows blocking 10 area codes and 1500 phone numbers plus Private, Unknown, and Out of Area calls. Make sure you get "Pro Call Blocker V2.2 Easy Setup Guide" at http://www.procallblock.com/uploads/3/5/3/1/3531954/procallblocker.pdf plus read all info at http://www.procallblock.com. It is sold on Amazon but shipped from Pro Call Blocker.

No message ...of course. AND when I tried to call back to see who would answer: the number you have dialed has been cancelled ???????? which means my reject call feature doesn't accept a reject !
CREEEEEEEEEPS !

I recommend using a VOIP service like Ooma, which allows you to block numbers like this for yourself and for others who use Ooma's community blocking service. If enough people do this, then the calls may finally stop since it won't be worth it.

Upon receiving this call I called USAA and reported the info.

6/28/2014. Our home phone number is on the national do not call registry. We received a call this morning at 10:45 am from "Card Member Services" at phone number 877-499-1289.
I pressed one to speak to the customer service representative. She hung up on me when I stated that I will report her and her company to the national do not call registry.

It's another scam call about credit cards. The way to fix this annoying problem of scam-callers and telemarketers is to vote AGAINST every politician who is currently in office. Why? Because we already have laws to protect us from these scammers, and the incompetent career politicians who are currently in office have done nothing to enforce the laws we sent them to enforce. You can make a difference on Primary and General Election Days by voting against EVERY politician in office, by firing them all, and by replacing them with new blood. If you do not fire these political morons, we will continue to receive these abusive and annoying illegal scam calls from the maggots known as telemarketers, a product of the career politicians who aren't doing the jobs we hired them to do. Please be a true American and vote against ALL incumbents!

I received 2 calls, from this number, which I didn't answer, on 6/25/14 and 6/13/14 at 2:31PM, EDT and 2:31PM, EDT, respectively. Strange that they called, at the exact time, on 2 separate days. That's a first!!
SP 2014-06-27 16:50:51 Unknown
I just got one from these &?$!@s too. I don't answer any calls from unfamiliar numbers - I let my answering machine pick up and listen to what they say. Whoever was making the call listened to my outgoing message, paused to see if a real person would pick up, and then hung up without saying anything.
I've blocked so many of these "card services" numbers, but they keep spoofing different ones. Thanks to the helpful folks on this website, I've now blocked this one too. But likes a previous poster, I'm worried that my Panasonic phone (which I bought explicitly for the feature that allows blocking up to 250 numbers) will run out of space!

A definite scam with a spoofed number. They hung up on me when I asked them who they really are and why they called a business number? Could hear many people in the background making the same calls.
Whatever you do, DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION on calls like these.
John 2014-06-26 21:09:07 Telemarketer
These scam calls seem to come in spurts, you get several a day from different numbers then they stop for a few days. They give Credit card Services as the company name. probably fake.
E 2014-06-26 20:02:04 Telemarketer
Received a call from this number. Said it was the "last chance to lower interest rate on my credit card bills" etc. "press 1 to speak to a representative". Normally, I hang up, but I have received SO MANY calls like this because of my DEADBEAT ex husband, that I now talk to them to remove my name from their list.
I got connected, they asked me to verify my name. I said, please do not hang up on me, I wish to remove my name from your list, it is probably for my ex husband anyway, not for me. They HUNG UP (OF COURSE).
Tried to call back, that number "has been disconnected". Um, yeah, OK.
Tried to use the nice little feature *60 "call blocking", but it DOESN'T WORK for numbers that "don't exist".
WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO OUTLAW SPOOFING??? THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS AND SO MADDENING!!!
I am trying very very hard not to swear in this post. If anyone knows how to block these spoofed calls, or how to get them to stop calling ME and start harassing my VERY DESERVING ex, let me know. Please.
Oh, P.S. I'm on the also OH SO HELPFUL "No call list". Yeah, that used to be a thing.
Diana 2014-06-26 19:30:52 Unknown
Getting lots of calls from various numbers, including this one.
ThisnThat 2014-06-26 18:59:28 Unknown
Amen to the "scammer" type of call.
al 2014-06-25 22:48:41 Telemarketer
spam/scam. number is inactive. caller ID likely spoofed. I wonder if the phone companies who in fact do have all the info on calls they connect can't investigate where these fraudulent calls actually originate and alert the authorities. it is bad business practice to let their customers wrestle criminals directly and definitely the reason why I have discontinued my landline service.
