Male caller left msg 9923. Did not mention nature of call, only said call 1-877-501-9923. These are nuisance calls trying to get a rise out of you. If they cannot identify themselves on caller i.d. then ignore
them. I know I don't owe anyone or group. These are parasitic callers trying to make as easy a living as possible.  Remember to support Planned Parenthood it is obviously more important than ever.

They called, didn't hear everything, only see the number in caller ID. No info, same as everyone else. My number also rings my cell phone and is my business line. I have CallBlocker on my cell, so I just add the number to the list and I never hear from them again. I don't know who they are and don't care. If you have to be secretive to do your business, your business is all monkey.

This exact same thing happened to me.  In 2013 I started getting notices of 3 unpaid parking tickets from 2006 in Pittsburgh PA.  I have never been to PA and even had proof on the dates of the tickets that I was working in OH but they wouldn't listen to anything.  Told me they were going to put a "club" on my car.  Well good luck finding it in the scrap yard!  It just amazes me that they wait 7 years to make contact.  Wonder how many people pay these "bogus" parking tickets after being harassed by "Professional" Account Management's wonderful staff?

You ignore it and don't answer that number, maybe disable the ring.  My attorney says the red light ticket collectors are illegal and should be ignored.

Get a BIG police whistle and blast the caller when you get connected to a live person.  That will get rid of them

Shows in research as being a landline with 2 other locations, but as we owe nothing and have no tickets...I don't know why they call here then say nothing when I answer. But it IS annoying. Repeat calls.

No way... I swear to you, the same thing is happening to me. Same thing: my car has been given a ticket in 2007, and the City of Houston, what, took 6 YEARS to come looking for me? with no notification at all regarding the initial ticket or any arrest warrants that likely would have issued?

Please tell me, what happened with you? How did you handle the caller(s)?

I failed to include the actual idea I had in mind, when posting above.

Rather than trying to harass this particular kind of harasser . . . harass those who chose to sic 'em on you. Of course, if you owe the money, it's a different story. But, if you've paid, or if they're trying to call someone you've never heard of, or in some other way have it wrong, but won't stop . . . call the creditor.

Based on what's posted here, I have to assume this harassment is being done on behalf of the City of Houston. If so, since Mayor Anise Parker wants to keep that title after the upcoming election, it seems appropriate to call her office and her campaign every time the jerks make my phone ring. That's a narrow enough and specific enough target that it might even be effective. Time will tell.

Meantime, I'll think of every one of those calls as coming from one of the other candidates, asking me for help and my vote. I can help 'em all, but it's a shame I only get to vote against her one time.

I hope the other postings are correct, since the robo-caller didn't identify itself, or the purpose of the call.

First of all, this is not NCO. It is not directly associated with NCO.

Secondly, in order to successfully sue someone, you have to have a legal reason. Which means if you want to sue, you need to learn the law, and do the simple steps to turn what they're doing into a violation. You probably won't get to sue, since they'll stop . . . but they'll stop.

Thirdly, NCO, these people, and Equifax are different companies. It's legal and proper for Equifax, when calling you, to have their name in your Caller ID.

Fourthly, there is a simple way (In case you missed it in "Secondly," above.) to get them to stop. Learn it, do it, and you won't have to make all of these bogus connections between unrelated companies for unrelated debts. Well, come to think of it, the debts are related: you incurred all of them.

Finally, instead of trying to mess with them using an auto-dialer, why not spend the money on paying your debt? It seems like Nextel and Sprint are not the only companies you didn't pay . . . or waited years and years before you got around to it.

I would say, "Think again," but your reasoning seems to lack real thinking. Unless every person in the country calls them "20 x a day," they won't notice. The same equipment which makes it easy for them to harass the rest of us protects them from us.

They make mistakes, but if they're calling about a legitimate debt, you should pay it. Wasting time on the phone trying to give them a taste of their own medicine won't turn a deadbeat into an upstanding citizen. Even if  it's a legitimate debt, but you want to be irresponsible, the law provides you with a fairly simple and direct means of putting a stop to the calls.

Instead of coming up with your own "solution," you would be better served by simply doing the right thing . . . the right way.

Sick of this NCO company. They buy off old debts, whether accurate or not, then harass you forever over it. I know for a fact that I settled up with Nextel before they turned into Sprint. They will not get off my back over 7 years now. Sounds unreal, right? Apparently they acquired this so called collections account after Nextel was already gone. I contacted the new cellular company and they too can see there was a settlement made directly, but because this is so old now there are no specifics. NCO should be sued by everyone so they can't do this anymore.
For a few months their caller ID name was falsely showing as Equifax. How illegal is that??? I saved a picture of it as proof until I can figure out who to go to about this. Maybe my State Rep? I pay for my phone number to be unlisted. It should not be allowed that people like this can call my PRIVATE number without permission.
Maybe I should buy an auto-dialer and start plugging in their numbers...

They were calling about a parking ticket from 7 years ago. The City of Raleigh apparently turned my account over to them. I never received ANY notices from Raleigh about this ticket. Professional Account Services identified themselves when I called, and gave me the ticket number so that I could confirm it. They also informed me that I could pay the City of Raleigh directly online, by mail or in person. I looked it up and I did have an outstanding ticket, so I paid City of Raleigh directly online.

So, this company is legit, but the City of Raleigh's practices are BS.
