Strange....suddenly these bottom feeders after over a year of harrassing my family members and myself insisting that the only way to stave off a summons scheduled to be delivered is to proffer payment right then and there............well, they've gone silent since my post of October 26th. Not sure if it was my casually explaining the FDCPA to the last genius who advised me that I needed to speak with my lawyer or "Public Defender" regarding this matter, or and I'm going to give credit where credit is due......Thanks to 800notes!!! I think publicizing the location and owners name on this site may have made them nervous. In any event, having enjoyed the past week sans harrassing calls, I'm kind of missing the engagement in discourse (even though they always wanted to tlak over me and hang up) My family hasn't heard from them either. So this week, I'm sending a claim letter, threatening THEM with legal action if they don't pay a substantial settlement, I'll include a photocpy of my phone log from Verizon, just so they can count the number of robocalls they're liable for, and I'll personally (not robocall) call twice per day demanding payment. Of course the demand letter will be addressed to Felix O. Lopez, President and CEO, Nationwide Credit Solutions, Inc, 2879 HWY 160 WEST, Fort Mill, South Carolina. As a legitimately registered Corporation in South Carolina, they should know that in my state, there is no Corproate Veil, consequently the Corporate Officers can be held personally liable for actions taken on thier behalf, and how am I going to take a South Carolina before a court in my state? Once they decided to make an effort to collect, or otherwise do business in my state, they became subject to my state's laws. If everyone who has heard from these people would follow suit, these people would be buried personally under a mountain of debt of thier own.See ya in Court, Felix!

***Nationwide Credit Solutions*** (NCS) These bottom feeders have been calling my parents sister and cousin for months, caller Identifies himself as "Jonathan Cole" and pending legal action against me, I had enough of the reports from family and contacted them directly. I first advised them that FDCPA prohibits third party disclosure, and threatening legal action was also prohibited if they did not intend to follow through. They said they were the "Legal Department" and not collectors, so FDCPA did not apply to them. I asked for something in writing the fourth time they called me that day, and finally they agreed to email me "Validation". They wouldn't provide me with a mailing address.

Phone Numbers are less than a dime a dozen, but IP addresses can only be mirrored from 1 to another, doubtful these guys even thunk o' that.

From the email, I culled the IP address and found it had meen sent from an address in Fort Mill, South Carolina. I then found a company licensed in good standing with The licensing with S.C. Secretary of State with the same name in Fort MIll, South Carolina. (2879 HWY 160 WEST) Because of the multiple efforts of third party disclosure, the repeatedly being told that I needed a "Public Defender" and that I could expect a "Summons" anywhere from 30 minutes to 48 hours (although they couldn't tell me what court they were filing in) and the at least twice weekly RoboCalls, I'm not only complaining to IC3 and FTC.gov as well as my do as little as possible State AG, I'm looking for an attorney who will assist in fling suit, it's 1000.00 penaltyt, and 500-1500 for the robocalls. Federal Law requires them to pay the attorneys fees, whether or not I owe the debt. I will update with further developments, or as soon as I can find Felix  O. lopez' home address and telephone number in Ft. Mill, shouldn't be too difficult.

these people call me all the time on my cell, to the point I don't answer anymore. they are crooks, they lead you to believe that you owe a debt. just to give them your bank information. Finally had it out with these Scammers one day. Made a payment arrangement for lesser then the amount owed. they emailed it to me. the document did not look legit, so when I called back I asked them where to mail a Western Union Check to? they said they don't take Western Union, I asked them about a Postal money order, or a Bank Certified check and they declined my payment. they would only except my banking account information or if I went down to store and got pre-paid visa cards to make payments to them. Ok No Problem, but then they said if I paid with visa cards I would have to pay full amount. I told them it wasn't happening. They threatened to have me arrested, and summoned to court. I told them that's fine, please do. I work for the State Police Department. They hung up on me. Now they call with a different phone# to get this process going all over again with a different company name. These people change numbers like we change our underwear. Good Luck Everyone. These guys have been on my case for 5 years now - I still cant get rid of them and now their after my wife too.

Section 809 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf requires 3rd-party debt collectors to give debtors written notice of debt (the key word is *shall*) :
"§ 809. Validation of debts
(a) Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing?
(1) the amount of the debt;
(2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;
(3) a statement that unless the consumer, within thirty days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed to be valid by the debt collector;
(4) a statement that if the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, the debt collector will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment against the consumer and a copy of such verification or judgment will be mailed to the consumer by the debt collector; and
(5) a statement that, upon the consumer?s written request within the thirty-day period, the debt collector will provide the consumer with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor."

A Collection Agent May Not?

Here are the top 11 actions prohibited by the The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act:

Misrepresent Him or Herself

  A debt collector may not misrepresent himself as an attorney or law enforcement officer.

Use the Telephone to Annoy or Harass

  A collection agent may not cause a telephone to ring or engage any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with an intent to annoy, abuse, or harass anyone at the called number.

Threaten Arrest or Lawsuit

  A collection agent may not threaten a consumer with arrest. It may not threaten legal action that is either not permitted or not actually contemplated. In other words, a the threat of a lawsuit may be an empty one.

Use Abusive or Threatening Language

  A debt collector may no use abusive or profane language in the course of communication related to the debt.

Publish a Bad Debt List

  Publishing the consumer?s name or address on a "bad debt" list is prohibited.

Contact By Embarrassing Media

  A debt collector may not communicate with a consumer by post card. It may not use any language or symbol, other than the debt collector?s address, on any envelope when communicating with a consumer by use of the mails or by telegram. A debt collector may use its business name if such name does not indicate it is in the debt collection business.

Contact a Consumer at Work

  A collection agent may not communicate with consumers at their place of employment after being told this is unacceptable or prohibited by the employer.

Seek Unjustifiable Amounts

  A debt collector may not demand any amounts not permitted under an applicable contract or as provided under law.

Contact a Consumer Represented by an Attorney

  A collection agent may not contact a consumer after it learns the consumer is represented by a lawyer.

Communicate With a Consumer After Receiving a Validation Request

  If a consumer sends a written §1692g response within 30 days, the collection agent may not communicate with the consumer until it mails the consumer the requested verification of original creditor's name and address.

Communicate With Third Parties

  A debt collector may not reveal or discuss the nature of a consumer?s debts with third parties other than the consumer?s spouse or attorney. A collection agent may contact neighbors or co-workers only to obtain location information. It may contact a third party again if it has reason to believe the information the party provided previously is false.

Bills.com FDCPA FAQ

Below are questions Bills.com readers ask frequently:

Can a Collection Agent Call My Cell Phone?

  Yes. However, if you tell the debt collector it may not use that number because it is a cell phone, it may not contact you again at that number.

I Keep Receiving Dozens of Calls From Collection Agents. Is That Legal?

  No. Unscrupulous collection agents will use "block parties" or "office parties" where they contact a consumer, multiple neighbors, or co-workers telling them they need to reach the consumer on an urgent matter. This is not permitted under the FDCPA.

A Collector Says I Will Be Arrested if I Do Not Pay

  This was a true statement before the US Civil War, but has not been true since. People may be arrested if an aggressive judge files a bench warrant for a person who does not appear at a hearing relating to a lawsuit regarding a debt. However, in that case, the offense is the failure to respond to a court order, and not the existence of the debt. As stated above, it is illegal under the FDCPA to threaten a consumer with arrest if the consumer does not pay the debt.

I've gotten multiple calls from these people. I've told them multiple times to leave me alone and I don't know this Teresa lady they are looking for. They stated two weeks ago they would take out my number, but guess what, I received a call from them this morning. Ha, what a total scam. They left a very detailed message stating they would find this lady, either if she's at her place of work, relatives' houses, or just at home.

You can get rid of calls from them. Either use your phone call blocking system or call that number back & choose to talk to the legal dept. from the voice menu. Explain to them you do not know the person they are trying to contact. Be very insistent on not knowing nor having anything to do with the person they are trying to deal with. Have them remove your landline & cell ph#'s from their calling list. All this should work. I've done this & it worked for me.

Just another run of the mill Scam company trying to steal your money.  If you pay them, they will keep the money and just pass your name to the next company and you will keep getting calls.

Report to the agencies as stated by Tamianth that's the only thing you can do to stop them.
