This must be a number that's used by lots of companies.  In my case, it was a customer satisfaction survey for a vehicle we purchased.  We were told by the dealership that they would be calling.  They were very nice and this wasn't an unsolicited call.  I'd actually missed the call and called back; a woman simply said 'yes?' and I asked her if she was a telemarketing company and then she said they were trying to reach my husband on behalf of the dealership.  However, I'd had several missed calls from various 8** numbers all week (one time I did answer and they hung up), and I suspect it was them each time and that their call center generates different outgoing numbers.

The phone rings and when I pick up no one is there.

Must be a service marketing company.  Just got a call from this number, ask about my experience with the service dept. of Duncan Honda in Christiansburg, VA.  (just has some warranty work done on my Honda there).

I just had dealings with progressive and suddenly this number keeps calling and calling. I don't answer and they never leave a message. I'd like to think it's not them

this number keeps calling...cant call it back dont know whom it is.

someone with this caller id just called my phone Monday, April 30, 2012. they didn't leave a message but hung up before the answering service picked up.
I decided to call the number back,
and spoke with a woman who claimed to be
Palm Harbor Homes. inviting me to an "open house", and i told her that i  had already purchased a home.
She asked who from, and i told her a local builder. She said "Oh you  bought a stick built home? May I ask why we didn't buy from palm harbor  homes?"
i told her that when i GOOGLE  Palm Harbor Homes,
the only reviews i could find about them was bad reviews,
and people said that they build homes that fell apart
and people claimed they were  a scam & that was enough to scare me  away.
I asked how come she didn't leave a message when she called earlier,
and she explained it was computer dialed,
and that it isn't set up to leave a message.

I then asked if i would be recieving further calls from this number,  
and she assured me that i would not.

This number needs to be investigated because they continually call with nobody talking on their end. I have more important things to do than putting up with this form of harassment. In my opinion, this is pure harassment and they should be fined for those of us that choose to NOT BE CALLED

They call non-stop and will not stop. From the other posts it would appear this is Progressive as I bought vehicles there recently I think I will never buy from them again. RUDE!

It's not Progressive Chevrolet. Trust me I work there.I've gotten calls from this number also.

I have been called twice.  Before I could answer, they had hung up. I reverse dialed and it disconnected after two rings.

I tried getting a Palm Harbour.  Must be them STILL calling.

please remove this number from your caller list.

calls at least 3 times a day

No answer, just silence.

Called twice (2) days in a row looking for someone who obviously was not me.  The company rep did not identify themselves.

I've rec'd a few calls from this no but they never leave a vm.  how do they expect you to return calls from unknown numbers otherwise.  I am a progressive customer and have spoken with Palm Harbor homes...Hard call which one it is.

Keeps calling and does not leave message.  I do not answer.

This same number called my cell phone..So as with all toll numbers i just go to the cell provider and block the number..problen is taken care of.

I have received calls from this number at all times of the day.I live in Ohio but have no dealings with Progressive so I do not know why they would call. I have not dialed back but it only rings 3 or 4 times and have only caught it once to answer.

I get the calls at all times of day.  Never answer.  Call back, it rings twice and then dead, but doesn't hang up.  I think someone is using a fake number to show on the phone, and I wonder if they are pulling from my phone list when it doesn't hang up.  Bogus number, and I think it is a scam or some way of stealing information.

I received a call from this number, and when I called back, it rang twice, and then nothing.  No answer, no ring, no anything.  I live nowhere near Ohio, so if it's Progressive Chevrolet, they're out of luck.
