Jerry,

I got mine too.  This was the same day I was visiting the Golden Gate Bridge. I actually met the owner of the bridge and he thought I was so cool that he gave it to me.  As I was leaving the Golden Gate Bridge I ran into the President of the United States.  He thought that I was so cool that he would take me for a ride on Air Force 1.  After the flight he asked if I enjoyed it.  I told him it was really cool, but the Space Shuttle launch that I took back in 1969 (with Neil Armstrong) was better.

Your living in a dream world dude.  877-504-9618 is a scam by scum!  Get over it.

Got the same 'boarding pass' mass mailer from 'Carnival' and was going to call based on boredom on a cold winter's day.  My wife said to throw the crap out and not waste my time.  Decided to check the net first based on the number and the address.  Confirmed that the address is for the UPS Store in Greensboro and found this site based on the phone number.  Everything I suspected was confirmed and no calls will be nade, even out of sheer boredom.  The only bad thing will be to tell my wife how right she was ...... tough duty!  Thanks 'post-ers'!

Yeah I decided to call before I thought to Google this, even though I already knew I wasn't going to bite on a timeshare presentation deal.  The young lady I spoke with answered the phone, "Reservations, may I help you?"  I told her I wanted to find out the details of the free stuff.  She told me all I had to do was attend a 90 minute presentation about a "Travel Club."  When I told her I wasn't interested, she asked me, "Why are you not interested in a free 8-day cruise?"  I told her, "Because I don't want to sit thru a 90-minute presentation that will last 3 hours!"  She replied, "Sir, you can set an alarm at 90 minutes if you want to."

Anyway, I told her that I was just curious what the scam was, and I hung up.  I read a post somewhere else where someone said to demand that they send you the information in writing so that you can review it (and NOT email, because that is not legally binding).  When the person would not back down on this demand, the telemarketer hung up.  I would love for someone to call the number, and demand the information in writing by mail, and see what they say.  I wish I had read about these scammers before I called, I could have had a great time with them...  :-)

Received a flyer from "Carnival" saying to call this number for my free for 2 8 Day cruise and if I call within 48 hours will get 2 free roundtrip airfares.  Checked out Carnival's website and they don't have any 8 day cruises for the ship "Conquest", and this phone number is also not one of their numbers. Ours does have a North Carolina address on the back, but no company name. Do people really fall for such scams?

I am supposed to call that number to get:
2 round trip airline tickets to any major international city in the continental US
plus 3 day/2 night Marriott weekend getaway
plus $30 dinner card.
and 7-day rent-a-car if I call 877-504-9618, and rsvp GAPA0121.
Can you beat that?
And they have logos for Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Thrifty Car Rental and United Airlines on their mailer.
Plus it is from CPPI in West Palm Beach FL!
Check them out at BBB for the Cminus rating!!!

I just got my "Carnival" card from the scammers with the address in the UPS store in Greensboro, NC. Did a quick search of Carnival cruises. My card says the ship departs from Charleston, SC, and goes to St. Thomas. Carnival has no such voyage.

Got the same letter as gibb8s (and probably everyone else too), same Ticketing ID Confirmation number and Grand Opening in the area. Hey, who knows, maybe they're working out of a packing crate _inside_ the UPS Store and are offering travel via a UPS shipping crate in the bowels of a Carnival ship. ;-)

Never called them or got called from them, but I assume the number is legit.

Promptly deposited the letter in to the recycling bin.

Received today.  Starts off saying "in celebration of our Grand Opening in your area", but never indicates what has opened.  Offering Carnival cruise for 2 and if I call within 48 hours 2 RT airfares.  Fine print indicates not sponsored by or affiliated with Carnival, but they are a major supplier.  Address on card is UPS store.  I pray no one responds to this.  Recycle the paper.  Mine is in the recycle bin now.  Thanks to all who posted (except those who are singing its praises!)  Shame on you.

Received this in the mail:

Final Notice - never got initial notice.

Complimentary 8 Day / 7 Night Cruise for 2, includes 2 round trip airfares

Looks like it is from Carnival Cruise Lines - read back of sample boarding pass - not affiliated with Carnival.

If it sounds to good to be true, it is.

If you want a Carnival Cruise Line deal, go directly to the web site and save money and lots of grief.

NEVER respond to unsolicited travel offers. Throw it in the trash. The voice of experience.

I looked up the address on my so called cruise winning post card and guess what: it was for the UPS store in Greensboro, NC. Also the "877" number is for a LAN line. WOW, I guess they are sending out the cruise tickets from their trailer? Less I forget, need to ask for airline tickets also (included with the cruise) LOL. What a bunch of crapping scam!!!

My post card had the round trip ticket 3 days, two nights ploy with a 7 day car rental if you act within 3 days (of when?). Why would you fly on a round trip 3 day but have the car 7?
Jerry Luekly-No one talks like that but a salesman of high pressure -

Other red Flags: Pre-Sort first class bulk mailing;
No or bogus return address;
Words "Final Notice" (and you know you never got 1st notice);
No dates on responding (so they can mail anytime and anywhere);
No search able originator name, website or reverse directory # that existed for any length of time.

In this economy-Nothing is this free or "limited" time/spots available.
Stay respectful and cautious. Shame on the false posts. RE: 877-504-9618

And what brings you to this website Theresa?... Yes, please do tell.. Don't even try it, scammer. Deals that seem to good to be true always are. The fact that you people are coming on this site to try to dupe others to think this is legitimate is unbelievable!!
PLEASE.... Just look at the mailer this company sent. 8-DAY CRUISE -- COMPLIMENTARY*   <--- See that asterisk? Why don't you just come out and say "Hey, we're selling some s***, and if you buy this, we'll give you a FREE Cruise"???.
