A process server who doesn't even have your address?   No such beast.  Liars.

Lynn, you need a new lawyer if your comment is legit at all.  There is nothing about their process that is legal.

These people are scammers. I go  a call from a womn claiming I owed for a payday loan. She had my ingo and I told her I needed debt verification from the " company" so that could make sure I was paying the correct debt. I told her my lawyer also wanted to verify the debt adn please email or snail mail it.

She gets mad yells  I needd to keep my lawyer out of this, I'll be spending more money on him than paying the debt. I told her "get out of my wallet and let me do this the way I want ."

I asked again for her to send the verification and she starts all over again about not needing the lawyer.

I was calm and asked her whyat is teh physicall adddress of CHM, my lawyer wants to send a certified letter. She says they don't give out their address because people want to hurt them because they are debt collectors.

I said yeah they want to kick your butts, because you all are a bunch of con artists. Then she   screams at me again--and I hung up on her.  

Then the process server  calls and tells me he's in  the neighborhood and needs to know my address so he can serve me.

I told him let's meet at a central location and he can serve me. He gets mad and tells me no, and I hung up on him.
These people are crazy.

I got a call from chm mediation firm but the number was 8772916501 saying i owe for an old payday loan that i dont remember getting. now threating to serve me papers. Is this just a scam?

Got a call from them saying i owed  a old payday loan. I said I was not concerned then i got a call back marked private verifying my ss and address and said he was coming over to serve me. I giggled and said see ya in a few. that was several hours ago.

I cannot believe how rude these people are.  They claim I have a "case number', blah, blah, blah.  They are harrassing me at work and just about blowing up my cell phone.  I have been ignoring them until my boss answered the phone today.  They gave their story to her and that they needed to serve me something.  They would leave a phone number, but I called the number that showed up on the caller ID when they called.  They claimed that no one from their office called - I politely explained that I called the number that the message was from, etc.  It wasn't until I threatened a call from my attorney that they said they would note not to call my place of employment.  I have no qualms about pressing harrassment charges.  These people have to be stopped!!!!

STRANGE..... I have never in all my years heard of a process server or a mediation firm that calls you -not sending a paper trail-, and it is odd that so many people on this site have found this to be a scam.... Also, generally a court cannot give a judgement against you until they can actually notify you, on paper, so that you have a chance to show up and share your side of things. So your statements seem odd.

Got a call on my cell from a woman named Robin Lee, saying she needs to verify my address either at home or at work to serve process. She gives the number 877.509.0417 to contact for "one chance" to have mediation. And yet, the number she called from is a totally different number from the 405 area code (Oklahoma). Also, I have never heard of a mediation firm or process server who has your phone number and calls you. I haven't heard of a mediation firm or process server either who can call you but does not have your address to send official paper notice of the stated case to you, by mail or by an in-person delivery of the notice. Something seems highly fishy.....

I got a call from this number and they said that i have until Tuesday and that they know where i live.

They called my workplace and my cell phone, threatening and looking for my address so they could serve me papers. They said that I needed to pay with a debit card and that they don't have a mailing address to mail a payment in. I called the company they said that they were collecting for and they informed me that CHM Mediation is a scam. But yet it still has me scared, and they are calling my workplace!

I can assure you these people are a SCAM! They have one person calling to be a "Process Server" who supposedly can't tell you what they're serving you for because it is a "sealed court document". That is a flat out lie, every process server knows what they are serving someone for. They claim that if you call the number they provide you with and you give them some code (immediate inclination it is a scam) they will call off the process server. They also will not give you a number to call them back at either. A process server is not going to call you to tell you that you are about to be served, they just show up and do it. If you then call the number and give them the provided code you will most likely find out that the company, who sometimes calls themselves CHM Mediations will provide you information for a debt that is either paid off, beyond the statute of limitations, or a completely bogus debt. They claimed that I was being taken to court for writing a bad check to some random obviously horribly named pay-day loan company as collateral in Harrisonburg, Virginia in the spring of 2005. I have never been to Harrisonburg let alone taken out a pay-day loan. I kindly informed the person that I will be filing a Police report and if they continue to call me I will consider it an act of harassment. They obviously came back with the line of "the local Police are already aware of the matter and are prepared to take you into custody if you do not appear in court". I laugh, hang up and then call my local Police department, they send an Officer out who takes all information and informs me of what I need to do if they continue to call. I also call Harrisonburg  Police, Sheriffs, Court House etc., and to include the County and all other surrounding cities, no one knows who I am and obviously give me the reply that my thoughts were already giving me, SCAM SCAM SCAM! Also, I possess something that is given out by the Government that requires you to be in good credit standing, and if you write a bad check that something is immediately gone and will never be returned, it became active in 2006, and was renewed in 2010, so yeah, definitely a scam.

I wonder if anyone's actually taken them up on their offer, and called their bluff by asking for them to come and serve them the so-called papers?  Just curious.  They always call from a private #, and when asked for the #, they become belligerent and start berating you.  They always end up re-routing back to the aforementioned 877 phone number.  I told her the last time she called, that until she properly identifies herself by giving me her phone #, I refuse to speak with them.  Period.

The claim to have a charge against me but I know nothing of them I looked up the number SCAM!

I got called by this company CHM Mediation.    It was for my mortgages being late with Wells Fargo.    I was heading into foreclosure and was behind 5 payments.    They helped negotiate a settlement with Wells for 2.5 payments and a lower interest rate while i get on my feet.... i was trying to talk to wells directly before this to tell them i could not afford my payment and it got me no where.... if i wouldnt have paid attention, wells would have gotten the foreclosure judgment against me.

Trying to prove the creditability of this contact person.  Received a message that was left at the switchboard of my employers today stating that they were going to subpoena me if I didn't return their call within the hour.  The contact person?s name is Tina and the number that was left only leads me to these sites stating all these complaints.  I am pretty sure that should this be a legit attempt to collect a debt, they just violated some consumer act or something.  I don't know what this is regarding, nor can I locate a business address for them.  Anyone help me out before I call this number back

This phone number always call me and I don't want and I don't have any business with them.... I'm so tired with this kind of people !!!!!

I use to work for an internet loan company almost 4 years ago and for 2 years these people called our customers and got 10's of 1000's of dollars from them with threats of jail, court, etc...the only difference in the call I recv'd and the ones the customers recv''d is that the person calling me was American...send me papers via mail if its legit...you won't get s*** from me without proof!

I have talked to my local law enforcement and they stated to me that there have been numerous phone calls regarding these type of phone calls and they can assure me that it is a scam. Whatever you do, do not verify any information or give them any information. If you do some research you will find that any legal charges let alone cases brought against you means legally the courts are required to officially notify you by mail and or in person. Needless to say any charges have to be formally brought against you and a phone call is not one of them. I just got a phone call from a woman claiming to be a process server which is actually the title of those who serve subpoenas. After I refused to give her any information she gave me a case number which by the way leads back to a case Robinson vs. State of Texas. As for the 8775090417 number try typing that number into google and you can see that it is also a bogus number. Last month I had a call from some guy who continuously called me from a 619 area code which is California he stated charges were brought against me. I tried calling the number back and got a magic jack user message. With this I decided to have some fun and I called and started harassing him once he hung up then all my coworkers got in on the fun and called him back over and over and over. There was nothing he could do and he got a taste of his own medicine. Hope my post will help someone and know that it's all a bunch of crap. If you want to relieve some stress have fun with the person calling just DONT give out any personal information.

I got a message to call this number a few weeks back from my mom.  I passed it to my lawyer who is working with them to get a resolution to a hit and run accident i was involved with 2 years back.  They are a mediation firm who resolves court cases outside of court.  I am only posting here, because I checked different sites on this number before i called.  If i hadnt called i would have gotten a judgement in court.  My lawyer verified that this is legit and this is how the process works.

turn them in... they are threating, rude, lie, try to get personal information.  If I have debt send me the bill.  They say that is against rules....what does that mean.  They want my social and checking account number or they will arrest me...That is funny..if I owe a bill they should have my ss #.

I started getting these calls at work from Larry Johnson telkling me there were charges against me from an online payday loan Co.  Gave me another number to call.  I called the 877-509-0417 and spoke to someone who said they were not a collection agency(I asked)!  Said they were mediation and I needed to make payment to avoid being served criminal charges.  I was scared so I had payments divided.  I paid 76.00 dollars with $100 due today.  I was late getting my paycheck so this morning Larry Johnson left message that since I defaulted on arrangement, court papers will be served and charges will be pressed for fraud.  I don't know what to do.  I know they will call me at work.  I also asked for some kind of proof and they will not send ANYTHING.

File complaint... They will not send any information about the debt.  Abusive and ignorant.

They are a mediation company.  I got served with child support papers from them / through them.  It was a must appear court date on the forms.  I guess what they do is try to resolve it before the actual court date.

I just got a call from them for a valid debt from over 3 years ago. BUT they have my drivers license and address from the time of the debt as me living in pennsylvania when I have never eve BEEN to PA let alone live there. The first lady we talked to said they couldn't put off the debt because it's a system thing. The caseworker I talked to said it will be put to the side so I can figure out who used my info in PA. I'm not disputing the debt, I was a single mom of 3 kids and had to feed them, but the addy and driver's license I am disputing. They said that I should just take it as being served and talk to the judge. I did not and requesting a hard copy of any info they can send. She said they can only send my personal info like my name, ss #, and bank info but when I asked to send a copy of the driver's license since it's claiming to be mine...she said they can't do that because it's against policy. HUH??? It's supposedly MY personal info although it's incorrect. It's the one thing I'm disputing and she's saying they can't show me proof of it. She then that they will put it on hold till I can get the address and driver's license sorted out and for me to call them...but how can I do that if I have no proof?? I again asked for the sending of the hard copies regardless and she said that will be fine, but she never requested my current address. (the Pa addy was the one they had on file she claimed)

Stupid Debt Collector company leave threatening messages they have a claim against you .  Whatever !!!   I worked for a Debt Settlement Company and Dont let these calls scare you. What are they gonna do take you to Jail.  They cannot not make you do anything.

They keep calling saying they charges against me?? What does that even mean? When I call back they are just RUDE and cant even give me information on what it even is... It just makes me sick... I can hardley feed my kids, and now I get these threating calls by people who dont even give you information on what money they are asking for... I just want it to stop!
