I have been getting calls for over a year. When  I asked for proof of debt, the man from Blue Shore told me that it was my responsibility to track that down. He said they were a law office not a collection agency so the fair credit laws do not apply.

So I got this same call and I had a similar call months before from another place and they did take out money from my account called my boss at work and called my HR department.  My HR department said that I could not take personal calls and that if they were trying to collect then they needed to follow the proper legal preceedings.  Now months later I am getting the calls again and nobody ever sends me the information or hard copies of where they are from to show my balance and their company name...this guy says check out our website....but the truth of the matter is that yes that website is probably a collection agency but how am I to know that this is the company of the person on the phone...I am so tired of SCAMS...I would have paid my balance but they never send me the proper information...I told them well SERVE me Paper take me to court...I am not stating that I am not going to pay this I am stating that I can make payments on the account but you refuse to take the payments that I can offer...I think it's all a bunch of Bull Crap!!!

Blue Shore Recovery system, has been calling me for about a year.  Telling me that I owe money on a defaulted debt.  I know nothing about this debt.  They in the past said they were going to issue a warrant for my arrest.  I told them to go ahead and send it, that I would be waiting.  That has been about 8 months ago.  This has got to be a scam.  I reported to the FTC, they are not going to do nothing as I have been told I need to pretty much take care of this myself.  I am also on the do not call list, that to is a joke.

Well over a month ago I received a message on my voicemail with regards to supposed money that my mother owes.  The message said per FTC guidelines in line with the Better Business Bureau they are required to let my mom know before they file a claim in the county courts.  This bothered me as my mother is 87 with Alzheimers and I know of no money owed. I loved their reaction when I told them she has Alzheimers so you either speak with me or your out of luck when they demanded to speak with her. They couldn't tell me anything over the phone (privacy you know) so they were going to mail it.  I never received it so I called them back to find out what happened to it.  I was told it went back to the original debtor...who we still do not know who this was.

I've recieved 3 seperate calls from the company over 2 months. Saying I had an old bank account that I needed to pay off the balance of. (I'm completely unaware of any such account) The original gentlemen ( Marcus)  mentioned how it was on my credit report and I probably had trouble getting a checking account. I told him that was not true as I purchased a car 8 months prior and there is no such mark on my credit and I've been a member of a credit union for over 7 years. I requested documentation to be sent to me and none came. the Second call I flat out refused to pay anything until documentation was sent to me they took my email address again saying they didn't have it and that didn't happen. They just called again, I again flat out refused and they escallated me to a manager ( Mark Hicks, who funny enough sounded like marcus that called the first time) who I told the same thing to they once again took my email address to send me documention. I'm not expecting to receive anything from them. What a crock!

I don't underrstand how someone cannot stop this phishing scam.  It's very annoying.  BTW- They also leave messages saying that they are "Freedom Investigations", with the same phone numbers.

This jerk from North Carloina leaves messages at work saying that he is doing an investigation and that I need to call him.  He uses the name "JD Morgan" and "John David Morgan".  He has left phone numbers of 877-509-2610(Blue Shore Recovery Systems) and 704-930-2453.

I do not owe anyone any money.  I am also filing a complaint with FTC. It is obviosuly a scam.

I am so mad!

Got a fax at work saying that someone at this phone number is verifying my employment. I called to see what it was and the guy said it was over an unpaid payday loan with "malicious intent". He kept insisting that I make payment arrangements authorizing them to take money out of my bank account, but refused to send me anything in writing. When I told him I wasn't comfortable giving access to my bank account over the phone, he said I was stalling. When I told him written proof of debt is required by law, he said "I know". But didn't offer any.

Heck, she can do more than file reports, assuming the collector has a U.S. presence. She can file suit for FDCPA violations and her own mental distress. (Don't know about you, I tend to become very distressed when I'm told police are asking for me.)

Its illegal for them to, and you can report them to the FTC, as well as file a report with your local law enforcement for impersonating law enforcement and harassment.  It is also illegal for them to threaten that they have a pending suit that can be taken care of by paying them off.  that is the definition of extortion.  make sure you save all recordings qand info, and report them!

Received a message on home answering machine from a Tameka Braise regarding needing my statement for a pending investigation in Sacramento County.  She made it seem like this was a police matter. She mentioned it was imperative that I return her call immediately at 877-509-2610 ext. 112.  Debt collectors should not pretend they are law enforcement.
