They called my office and left a message on my work voicemail.  I googled and found it is a scam.  They called back and spoke to my boss who then transferred the call to me.  I told them I had already reported them to the police and they better not call me again.  So far so good.  I haven't heard back from them.  I knew 100% there was no way there could be any type of collection out for me.  I just couldn't figure out how the got my first, maiden, & last names & my place of employment until I signed onto facebook and realized it was all right there...Don't try to talk to these people, it is a scam and I think they are gathering their info from social sites like facebook.

EPA Group (Edison Park and Associates)  Are also tied to other names.

File a police report if they continue to call.  Have the officer call the number and instruct them to remove you from their records and stop calling.  According to my research, these idiots just use scare tactics and humiliation to get payment from those who give in without thinking or researching online.  I am sure they have received money from frightened relatives as well.  It does not appear they actually own any of the debt as I have yet to hear of any victims being provided with physical proof.  Who calls and warns that they are delivering a court summons and then provides a bogus case #?  Many similar stories if you Google the callers number.  In the meantime, keep an eye on your credit and bank accounts just to be on the safe side.  If this is a close relative, it is possible they may try and call your employer if they can access that info.

This company keeps calling my phone number and my relatives phone number stating they have a court summons that needs to be delivered to a realative of mine that I have not spoke to in years. It seems to be a collection company, a scam, fraud etc. I am not sure. 1st, a call came through from a blocked number and the guy gave me this number and a case number. The people were the most unprofessional and rudest people I have ever spoken to. They would not give me information about the realative but stated he would go to court.. why do I care? Go get my relative, that is none of my business... But, who are these people. They get mad when you ask who they are and why they are calling. Not credible, but why do they have my information. They must be skip tracing. Everyone knows collection agencies use scar tatics. These people need to find their true calling in life and find a new job.  They are not registered through the BBB and do not have a website. Any additional information is appreciated.
