I also received calls and paid them--stupid me--the deal is Amber Williams had actual info and case numbers and an amount i owed to a specific bank--where did she get this info.  Is she working for one of the collection agencies and stealing people's info.  now i will have to pay this again.

this was bad for me i have a stress dog and adhd and i was so upset that day

i wrote my check in good standings. and not only that she tried to convince me that she was a creditor i was rallly freaked out now that i see replies about this i am feeling better.

I had the same thing happn to me and yes charges are being filed against them emotional distress. they said i wrote fraudulant checks and i have 1 day to pay temor i go to ail and my fin would be 2500 to get ot of jail but i receieved no papers. I then proceeded to ask the ladie named madison  ext 102 wat the company name was and she hung up on me. then proceeded to call me more and again i asked what the company name was and got no reply

so why dont you just pay back the loan comp??? then you wouldnt get any calls JACK***!! just saying...

This company has been calling my cellphone for several weeks now. Today they decide to call my work number. Madison Lewis xt 102 tells me that she's from check fraud. I tell her that I cannot take phonecalls at work. According to the FDCPA a collector is not continue to call your work if they have been advised that you cannot receive calls. madison(not even worth capitalizing her name)starts to get loud and threatening so I hang up on her. Two minutes later some guy calls and ask what type of business he was calling. Unbeknownced to him my job has CALLER I.D.(Dummy) So I tell him that I just spoke to madison and he was breaking the law by calling back.He hung up. These people make so many threats that they CANNOT legally carry out which is another violation of the FDCPA. In the state of Texas they cannot collect after 3 years. This is pretty much a last ditch effort for the payday loan company to get a penny from you. So they use this backroom scum company that has no regard for the law to try and collect for them. Also its only check fraud if they can PROVE you used the check to steal. If you wrote a check in good faith and then had a hard time paying them back, it's NOT check fraud.(in Tx) Do your research people, no matter where you live or how much you owe, YOU STILL HAVE RIGHTS!!! Don't give these people a dime. After reading the other post I cant believe they're telling people that have recordings of them in a store from 3 years ago!! Thats ridiculous. THESE PEOPLE CANNOT TOUCH YOU, DONT GIVE THEM YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!!
