I spoke with Cordell. He was a smartass when I said my car had 87,000 miles. He kept telling me "you cant put a price on a piece of mind." Total scam. Kept asking me for my credit card number.

Great post. We appreciate all of the information.

It was this post that influenced me to go with National Vehicle Protection Services instead of being duped by those out there not worth the paper it was printed.

I had a positive experience.

Just wanted to share my experience and I appreciate you giving the piece of mind that National Vehicle was the right company to go with.

Thank you,

I appreciate you posting this but all that is shown is they are bad and a story from a website called dance dot net. I cant find any other negative information about them. I ended up going through this company as I found good information and they are the only company certified.

Please leave information that will be beneficial when reporting about a company from reliable sites. Your post almost influenced me not to do business when I came to find National Vehicle Protection is a reliable company.

Just some insight. Thank you, Chelsea Hurdler.

I spoke with this company and was nothing but satisfied! I got not only one but two of my vehicles protected. They offer you an opportunity to keep coverage on your vehicle after the factory runs out for a low cost and they are vpa certified. Meaning they have someone to answer too. They even helped work around my budget. My rep was extremely patient as well as informative. This is my reinstated vehicle as well so I've had years of experience with this company. I'll take a company with a caring attitude over a bbb sellout company any day. Do all your research before choosing to not do buisness with the best company there is out there.

The registration id number is a number generated by the company for their reference, not the registration number for your vehicle. Putting your information on a postcard wouldnt be very professional.

Didn't get a call but this number is on a card for vehicle service notification.  What a joke.  It says your factory warrant expires, etc.  But they have no idea what my car is so blah, blah, blah.  Just another scam  No legitimate company would put out crap like this.  What a sad society the US has become.  Every day everything we do is deal with scams and lies and fraud, right up to our own government.

They were in trouble with the state of MO under the name "Dealership Warranties". They paid a ridiculously small fine, changed their name and kept doing business.

I'll bet the "removed" posts were glowing reports posted by shills of the company.

No valid reviewing organization has anything good to say about extended warranties, much less these 3rd party vehicle extended warranty companies.

Got you beat. The card I received was for a 17 year old vehicle. I drove it every day (I have since replaced it) and was pushing 200,000 miles. The "check engine" light was always on and the AC stopped around year 15. but it kept on going. Wonder what my yearly payments would have been?

Happened to answer the phone at my parent's house and it was from the company you are referring to. My mom had just told me about how my dad couldn't get off the phone with this company the other day so I tried to tell the guy they weren't interested. He proceeded to talk over me and when I mentioned car insurance he said I was uneducated and that it's mechanical coverage, etc. I'm sorry but how educated is he if his job is to telemarket to elderly people?  We argued for a while and I asked him to take them off the list then hung up. I called later and spoke with a supervisor who said he will review the recording. I hope he likes how his employee treats people. He is probably not a real supervisor anyway.

I too received a mail piece stating it was time to renew my policy I bought 4 years ago. I was skeptical and asked for my I formation they should have if they were the one. They had everything from my contract number to how many miles I had when I first bought my suv.

I asked to call my dealer to confirm. My dealership confirmed these were the guys.

At least for me this is the real deal and the company that had my original warranty.

Thank you.

I looked up all these companies on the BBB as you stated. Most have an A + on the BBB. The other has a C. I also was looking for the reviews. I do not see many bad reviews at all. You stated there were 572. I saw some good to alright reviews and just a couple negative reviews. Mostly equal not positive or negative

Please do not ever respond to the mailings you receive from the car warranty groups. Remember if they call you and you are on the do-not-call list than that phone call is illegal ? do you really want to do business with a company that so blatantly breaks the law?

My mom who is a senior citizen fell for one of these scams. First they told her they had written her original policy (therefor making the call seem legitimate, but actually FRAUD, because she checked and they had not written it). When she said she wanted to research it they told her that the price of the policy would go up (they had quoted her $3,300) if she hung up (PRESSURE SELLING).  Who makes a $3,300 purchase without doing research and what sales person doesn?t allow someone to research. Not only that but she had to pay for the policy in order to receive it for review.

They told her they were calling from Enterprise Financial Group, which had a A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, which was true but when she received the policy there was no mention of Enterprise Financial Group. So I sent a complaint to the BBB and someone from EFG contacted me right away and said she would be glad to help. Well when she found out that EFG actually did not underwrite the policy she said she couldn?t help because it was not one of their policies. So the complaint to the BBB was dropped and they keep their high rating.

So EFG were supposed to be the underwriters and Protective was the warranty company. Protective would not take my mom?s calls to cancel and would not return her calls. Luckily she contacted her credit card company and filed a fraud case and they reversed the charge for her.

Be very careful here. If you want an extended warranty shop around and go to your dealer. When we respond to illegal phone calls and fraudulent mailings we keep these people in business and they continue their predatory ways.
They also keep changing their name and phone numbers because of complaints, so don't think they all don't use the same unethical practices.

This will be the 3rd card my mom got in the mail. She is eldery and not healthy. The first time she called and ended up spending over $550.00. Needless to say, She had just leased a new car 4 days prior. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR CAR. I was able to stop payment on the credit card, With lots of hours on the phone. This company is a 3rd party working for: Marathon, Royal Administration, American Guardian, American Auto Field, Interstate National Services, And National Administration Solution Co. Review These Companies with the Better Business Bureau, as well as National Vehicle Protection Services. You will be surprised at ALL the bad reviews over 572. DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

National Vehicle Protection is a total scam.  They tell you they will send your policy and you can cancel anytime, but once you try to cancel, you spend 20 minutes answering the same questions why you want to cancel. (Which you know they will claim they never got.)  They then ask you to write a cancellation letter and postmark it that day.  Plus they take out premiums from your account within the first month along with the deposit. To top it off, they don't send you your policy within the first two weeks either so that they can keep your large deposit (since you didn't call to cancel...if you changed your mind.)

Be forewarned...it's a total scam.  If you get an extended warranty, go through the warranty company itself or a reputable dealer.

The manager Mr. Dyer was very unprofessional, and literally picked a 30-minute long argument. I just can't believe that people are running a business with such bad customer service. I have never seen anything like this. I was told that this company was great.....I beg to differ knowing that they cannot help possible customers with wise decisions. Especially after the customer is still interested.
