This number is from Union Consulting, formerly Incline Financial, they are located in Louisville, CO.  I went to the trouble to research all of these types of companies.  Names, addresses, google research, BBB research, and in some cases supreme court research.  Thousands of people hire these companies every month.  I tried to be as impartial as I could, ?just the facts.?  Some of them have multiple locations, and some of them have multiple names in the same location.  14 Linked reviews for all the companies are at the bottom of the article.

If you want to read the article, google ?union consulting 800notes? and scroll through the results until you see:  irsbacktaxhelp.wordpress.com and click, might be on the second page of results.  It will help spread the word.

I received a call today from New Century Tax.  The phone number I was given to return the call was (866) 960-2301, but the original call came in from a 303 area code.  The girl who called me said that she needed to pull my file, and then she transferred me to Sebastion Coal.

He told me that he had a special relationship with the IRS that my CPA does not have.  He said my file had been escalated at the IRS and that they were going to freeze my bank accounts and assets within 21 days.

He told me he could wipe out my debt for $2,950.00 because my case was fairly simple.  He said that they would file a motion that would make it illegal for the IRS to proceed with collections, and that he could force the IRS to negotiate rather than collect.  He said my case must be filed through "special procedures" because the IRS has escalated my file.

Sebastion said that his firm is 1 of 3 firms in the US that the IRS works with, and that my CPA would probably not even know about the program he is offering.   *** SCAM ALERT ***

I received a call from these people this morning, indicating they worked very closely with the IRS to get rid of penalties and interest.  They said my tax attorney did not have their relationship with the IRS and he had given me bad advice.  They're going to call me back this afternoon and now that I've verified they are a scam, I'm going to report them.  Shame on them and I hope they fry somewhere for terrorizing people who are already emotionally vulnerable and beat up.  I have since spoken with my tax attorney and he is fully capable of negotiating with the IRS on my behalf.  This group e-mailed me their information, so now I actually have facts when I file my complaint.

ANYONE RECEIVING CALLS FROM THIS BOTTOMFEEDER -

1.. You would ALREADY KNOW if you had a TAX issue - because the IRS would have contacted you by US Postal MAIL FIRST - LONG BEFORE THESE PEOPLE GOT INVOLVED - IF you have not heard from the IRS at all - ITS ALL BS and they MUST BE REPORTED TO THE IRS ASAP - CALL THE IRS ASAP!

2.  Call the IRS FIRST - they will tell you which COLLECTION AGENCY it was assigned to - IF there is an outstanding tax issue.

The very fact that GREG is here at all  would confirm its a scam - only the scam debt collectors have staff trolling complaint boards continuing ILLEGAL harrassment on a PUBLIC FORUM

Legitimate ones that FOLLOW STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS do not have staff on trolling these boards.

From Federal Trade Commission Website ? FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT
Debt Collection FAQs: A Guide for Consumers
If you?re behind in paying your bills, or a creditor?s records mistakenly make it appear that you are, a debt collector may be contacting you.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation?s consumer protection agency, enforces the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), which prohibits debt collectors from using abusive, unfair, or deceptive practices to collect from you.
Under the FDCPA, a debt collector is someone who regularly collects debts owed to others. This includes collection agencies, lawyers who collect debts on a regular basis, and companies that buy delinquent debts and then try to collect them.
Here are some questions and answers about your rights under the Act.

What types of debts are covered?
The Act covers personal, family, and household debts, including money you owe on a personal credit card account, an auto loan, a medical bill, and your mortgage. The FDCPA doesn?t cover debts you incurred to run a business.

Can a debt collector contact me any time or any place?
No. A debt collector may not contact you at inconvenient times or places, such as before 8 in the morning or after 9 at night, unless you agree to it. And collectors may not contact you at work if they?re told (orally or in writing) that you?re not allowed to get calls there.

How can I stop a debt collector from contacting me?
If a collector contacts you about a debt, you may want to talk to them at least once to see if you can resolve the matter ? even if you don?t think you owe the debt, can?t repay it immediately, or think that the collector is contacting you by mistake. If you decide after contacting the debt collector that you don?t want the collector to contact you again, tell the collector ? in writing ? to stop contacting you. Here?s how to do that:
Make a copy of your letter. Send the original by certified mail, and pay for a ?return receipt? so you?ll be able to document what the collector received. Once the collector receives your letter, they may not contact you again, with two exceptions: a collector can contact you to tell you there will be no further contact or to let you know that they or the creditor intend to take a specific action, like filing a lawsuit. Sending such a letter to a debt collector you owe money to does not get rid of the debt, but it should stop the contact. The creditor or the debt collector still can sue you to collect the debt.

Can a debt collector contact anyone else about my debt?
If an attorney is representing you about the debt, the debt collector must contact the attorney, rather than you. If you don?t have an attorney, a collector may contact other people ? but only to find out your address, your home phone number, and where you work. Collectors usually are prohibited from contacting third parties more than once. Other than to obtain this location information about you, a debt collector generally is not permitted to discuss your debt with anyone other than you, your spouse, or your attorney.

What does the debt collector have to tell me about the debt?
Every collector must send you a written ?validation notice? telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don?t think you owe the money.

Can a debt collector keep contacting me if I don?t think I owe any money?
If you send the debt collector a letter stating that you don?t owe any or all of the money, or asking for verification of the debt, that collector must stop contacting you. You have to send that letter within 30 days after you receive the validation notice. But a collector can begin contacting you again if it sends you written verification of the debt, like a copy of a bill for the amount you owe.

What practices are off limits for debt collectors?
Harassment. Debt collectors may not harass, oppress, or abuse you or any third parties they contact. For example, they may not:
    use threats of violence or harm;
    publish a list of names of people who refuse to pay their debts (but they can give this information to the credit reporting companies);
    use obscene or profane language; or
    repeatedly use the phone to annoy someone.

False statements. Debt collectors may not lie when they are trying to collect a debt. For example, they may not:
    falsely claim that they are attorneys or government representatives;
    falsely claim that you have committed a crime;
    falsely represent that they operate or work for a credit reporting company;
    misrepresent the amount you owe;
    indicate that papers they send you are legal forms if they aren?t; or
    indicate that papers they send to you aren?t legal forms if they are.

Debt collectors also are prohibited from saying that:
    you will be arrested if you don?t pay your debt;
    they?ll seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages unless they are permitted by law to take the action and intend to do so; or
    legal action will be taken against you, if doing so would be illegal or if they don?t intend to take the action.

Debt collectors may not:
    give false credit information about you to anyone, including a credit reporting company;
    send you anything that looks like an official document from a court or government agency if it isn?t; or
    use a false company name.

Unfair practices. Debt collectors may not engage in unfair practices when they try to collect a debt. For example, they may not:
    try to collect any interest, fee, or other charge on top of the amount you owe unless the contract that created your debt ? or your state law ? allows the charge;
    deposit a post-dated check early;
    take or threaten to take your property unless it can be done legally; or
    contact you by postcard.

Can I control which debts my payments apply to?
Yes. If a debt collector is trying to collect more than one debt from you, the collector must apply any payment you make to the debt you select. Equally important, a debt collector may not apply a payment to a debt you don?t think you owe.

Can a debt collector garnish my bank account or my wages?
If you don?t pay a debt, a creditor or its debt collector generally can sue you to collect. If they win, the court will enter a judgment against you. The judgment states the amount of money you owe, and allows the creditor or collector to get a garnishment order against you, directing a third party, like your bank, to turn over funds from your account to pay the debt.
Wage garnishment happens when your employer withholds part of your compensation to pay your debts. Your wages usually can be garnished only as the result of a court order. Don?t ignore a lawsuit summons. If you do, you lose the opportunity to fight a wage garnishment.

Can federal benefits be garnished?
Many federal benefits are exempt from garnishment, including:
    Social Security Benefits
    Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Benefits
    Veterans? Benefits
    Civil Service and Federal Retirement and Disability Benefits
    Service Members? Pay
    Military Annuities and Survivors? Benefits
    Student Assistance
    Railroad Retirement Benefits
    Merchant Seamen Wages
    Longshoremen?s and Harbor Workers? Death and Disability Benefits
    Foreign Service Retirement and Disability Benefits
    Compensation for Injury, Death, or Detention of Employees of U.S. Contractors Outside the U.S.
    Federal Emergency Management Agency Federal Disaster Assistance
But federal benefits may be garnished under certain circumstances, including to pay delinquent taxes, alimony, child support, or student loans.

Do I have any recourse if I think a debt collector has violated the law?
You have the right to sue a collector in a state or federal court within one year from the date the law was violated. If you win, the judge can require the collector to pay you for any damages you can prove you suffered because of the illegal collection practices, like lost wages and medical bills. The judge can require the debt collector to pay you up to $1,000, even if you can?t prove that you suffered actual damages. You also can be reimbursed for your attorney?s fees and court costs. A group of people also may sue a debt collector as part of a class action lawsuit and recover money for damages up to $500,000, or one percent of the collector?s net worth, whichever amount is lower. Even if a debt collector violates the FDCPA in trying to collect a debt, the debt does not go away if you owe it.

What should I do if a debt collector sues me?
If a debt collector files a lawsuit against you to collect a debt, respond to the lawsuit, either personally or through your lawyer, by the date specified in the court papers to preserve your rights.

Where do I report a debt collector for an alleged violation?
Report any problems you have with a debt collector to your state Attorney General?s office (www.naag.org) and the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov). Many states have their own debt collection laws that are different from the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Your Attorney General?s office can help you determine your rights under your state?s law.

Just curious to find out the outcome of your case.  I have an IRS lien also and I continue to receive calls from Linsey @ IGNCT- claiming that the call was about a federal tax filing and that she wanted to discuss my 'options'.  303-530-1313 is the phone on my caller Id but she asks that I call back at 877-530-6505.  I'm so glad that I found this site because it's hard to know who's legit out there.  My accountant has power of attorney and is calling the IRS to deal with them on my behalf.  So if anyone reading this post who is having similar problems or have received notices from the IRS, my advice is to call your accountant and give them power of attorney and have THEM make the calls to the IRS to rectify the situation.  It will cost you a lot less than going through scam artists such as IGMCT aka Incline.

I recieved a call yesterday7/15/10 from someone who said he was Sebestian Cole with Incline and referred  to himself as a counselor.  He told me that he was alerted to my file because it was in the collections status and up for review. He named the collection agent assigned to my case and told me that they were going to access my husband and pull him into my case which I could not believe becuase my husband and I had a prenunptual prior to signing with the IRS before for establishment of our payment agreement.  He went on to say that the IRS does not honor their payment  agreement and they never let you known when they are ready to review you, they just show up and if you are not ready, the outcome of the review rest with you..  He was suppose to send me some information to sign thru a email forwarded with fax information which I never recieved. So I had him fax the information to my home. I singned, gave infor requested and them gave credit card information for the 4,000 dollar dharge.
There were several thiings I noted, I I was told he could not advise me to stop payment on my  open payment of 1683, 00 to IRS per month even though he was going to contact my revenue office and take me out opf collections, that just did not sit right with me.  If you are going to take me out of collections, I have paid you 4,0000.00 dollars and you don't think you can advise me not to send 1683.80 per month your a** is not ligit.  I called my credit card company the next day and informed them that a fraudlent c ompany IGMCT was promising to assit individuals with IRS problems . I am contacting the FBI regarding this company there are just too many complaints this needs to be prosecuted and stopped.

Mike Mackenzy Mire and Incline Financial

Incline Financial Solutions, LLC and Incline Financial Group, LLC are Colorado entities started and owned by Mike Mackenzy Mire, aka Mike M Mackenzy, aka Mackenzy Mire. He was formerly employed by Omni Consumer Tax in Florida, now called El Dorado Financial. Omni Consumer Tax is a tentacle of the Matt Mulligan empire. When he left they sued him to enforce a non compete agreement, which they won by default. When he started Incline in Colorado Omni said this violated the non compete and the judgment they got to enforce that non compete in Florida. He blew off court when Omni domesticated the judgment in Colorado, so Omni got him arrested:

http://www.savefile.com/files/2026626

Here is a copy of the motion for entry of default:
http://www.savefile.com/files/2026632

Again, you have to ask yourself if someone who has to get arrested to go to court on a civil matter, and disregards his contracts, is really someone you want representing you with the IRS, and entrusted with your personal and business financial information?

This is one of the numbers for Incline Financial Group. They are now, as of March 9, 2009, using 303-530-1313. The perky sounding girl who called me, identifying herself only as "Amy" said, "I've been assigned your Federal Tax case," and requested I call her back. Yeah, at 6:00pm, too. Caller ID says only "Incline." Glad I looked it up on the internet. I've already been ripped off by one so-called tax attorney, and I know my so-called case has NOT been assigned to anybody. The IRS doesn't do that, and you should never trust a third party who says they will get in the middle unless you know where they live, if you catch my drift.

I received a call with the number 1-303-530-0698 showing on my caller ID.  The caller left a message from Robert Roland to return a call to him at 1-877-530-6505 and that he had been assigned to my tax case.

Things he said in his message just did not jive.  So I decided to Google the number on my caller ID.  1-303-530-0698 is the number for Mothers and Babies, a support group for mothers of babies six months old and younger in Boulder, CO.  Next I Googled the number he asked to me respond to... that is the number for Incline Financial Group, also in Boulder, CO.  I thought it was VERY strange for a supposed legit financial group to be using a phone number that is not theirs... so I knew I was right about a possible scam.  I Googled Incline Financial and got their webistes, many with different addresses... and then all of the scams and rip-offs for Incline Financial appeared as well. They have really targeted ALOT of people and seem to be very intense in their phone calls and trying to get your information.  This guy posed as a financial representative/agent that had been assigned to my case for IRS reasons.  All of my communications with the IRS are ALWAYS either by myself personally of with my CPA.  Also, I have received no notices from the IRS... so I knew this was a scam.

My advice... DO NOT return their calls and DO NOT give them any information.  The IRS will ALWAYS notify you themselves first about any problems you may be having with them.  They NEVER use a third party group to contact you.

Thank you for having this website to be able to inform and warn others about these horrible scam artists.
