They were calling me with a debt amount owed via children's hospital of Pittsburgh.   Called children's, sure enough they had turned us over to this collection agency for one of the 20 some medical bills owed when our son was very ill.

do NOT deal with these low lives, and do NOT try to contact the BBB about them, as they must be paying someone off at that agency.

They will call 6 times a day, with their number coming up as "unknown name or private caller" - per the FDCPA, ALL debt collectors are required to identify themselves.  They called me at work, although HOW they got my work number is beyond me, as I just started my new job and NEVER provided them with the work information.  Anyway, they called the switchboard(all my family members and friends have my direct extension), saying they were a "family"member and it was an emergency.  They denied(flat out LIE) to the BBB that I had sent them a "cease and desist letter", when I have the fax responses showing I did it 3 different times.  

These people are bottom feeders and anyone who claims to support them or like them, or says that they are a "fair" company to deal with, have to be employees of said scum company(scum themselves), trying to make the company look good

They keep calling and leave a message from Karen at Denovus that I need to call her back. Never says why. I looked up the company and a website with their number appeared 877-533-6688 and said that they were a debt collector.  Yet they call me from 724-503-1445??? Which is a landline in Washington, pa.  Has to be a scam, if I truly had a debt it would be on the credit report.

These peple if you can call them that should be put in jail. The dont follow protocol and have probably milked honest money from the elderly like mine or your grandma's. Let's get a posse with baseball bats and find these sumbags slumhole office and smash it all and their cars! who's in?

I keep getting calls from Denovus Corporation but they do not leave a message on my answering machine. Who are they? What do they want?

This is a legitimate company and I have used them to settle a real debt that I had acquired.  They are also listed with the BBB.  Granted this company have had issues but I can't say anything bad about them.  And I too got a legitimate letter in the mail.

How I deal with these guys is I just forward calls from their number to the state attorney general's office.  lol

Received two calls back to back from this company that went to voice mail.  In both cases, the message starts off asking if you are person XYZ and then after a pause they say you must be person XYZ.  Except on the second call, the two names didn't even match!  And none of the three names given were me.  So, time to add another number to the blocked list...

They sent me a letter...a legit letter...and they helped me as well. I was able to pay a settlement rate through this company. This was a charge from First Merit. I even called First Merit to verify this. So, maybe someone was able to hack Denovus at the time...who knows. They never once asked me for my social security number either.

I receive messages at all hours from this company. They say my name wrong. I'm going to lose it if they don't stop! Please, any suggestions how to make it stop?!

Just called me on a new phone line. (2nd cell phone) Asked for a ???? Baldwin. Some computer generated voice. I hung up on it..... I've only put this number on a few job applications and other than that only sprint had it... wtf

Someone called my cell from this number and I called it back and I am on hold as we speak...listening to the recording "your call is very important to us and thank you for continuing to hold..." and it's giving me the option to leave a message by pressing "2"....I am tired of this...so majority of you all think that this isn't for real?

Called for an employee at the company where I work.  Very vague- sounded fishy to me.  Said her name was Shawna Vezzetti.  Don't think I'll pass along the message.

A man usually calls and asks for me by my legal name.  Won't provide the name of the company.  I always hang-up on them.

Satisfied customer: You seem to be grossly ignorant of this little thing called the FDCPA. A debt collector is required not only to provide you, via mail, a notice that they are attempting to collect the debt, but at your request (typically preferred in writing as well) to provide you a number of different pieces of information (again, via mail) regarding that debt. An earlier poster noted that they requested this information and have not had it provided; thus, while this might be a collection agency, they are not following the law.

Also, it's interesting that the state in which I live requires any debt collector who contacts a residence of the state to be licensed by the state financial registrar; that list is publicly available, and neither Denovus, nor any collector at the provided address, is licensed in Arizona to collect debts.

Yes..This lady from Denovus keeps calling me also on my cell saying I owe this large amount and I am lucky that they are willing to settle for another amount! I am like I don't even have an bill that I owe for that amount! Goodness she calls EVERYDAY!  Received a letter today and decided to look them up on the internet and found this. Thank goodness for good people who post these messages or I would have been out a whole lot of money. Be careful everyone.

Called my cell phone and hacked into the phone when I rejected the call.

The numerous daily phone calls we receive even ask to press # 2 if you are not the intended party.  I have done that and it said they will not call again.  1 week later started calling more numerous times daily.  This is annoying.  I know we have no back debt as our credit report shows and we just bought a house, think it would have come up then.  I'm glad I was able to find this information out about them.  Thank you all for posting.  Going to report them.

I received a letter telling me they were responding to a letter I sent them.  I never sent them a letter, so why are they sending me a letter.  The letter stated that my debt was still valid and they were going to resume collection on this debt.  This so-called debt is over 10 years old.  Teresa Johnson a Client Relations Support Specialist which is probably a desk named sent the letter.  They have been calling my cell phone and house and they just hold the phone, I hang up on them. Next stop is a complaint letter to the FTC and to the Attorney General in PA. Dumb A@#$%.
