Not that you'll be back to read this - however - human resource departments MUST have a faxed verification form complete with the employee's signature before any information is given out.  It is a legal requirement in order for HR departments to answer sensitive questions about employment, pay, etc over the phone.  Oh, and a website does not make a caller "legit'.  Thanks for playing.

Poor "lala" - if she could write a sentence in English, then perhaps people would take what she wrote a bit more seriously.  Nah - who'd listen to an illiterate shill, anyway?

Don't worry about it - "lala" (and she certainly is) is just another run-of-the-mill, illiterate pay-your-bills shill.  Doesn't matter if the poster owes or not.  Then again, when have shills and trolls ever shown that they can read and comprehend what someone has written?

First, not every one owes the money these people say they owe. Second, people might take you seriously if you wrote in English.

Who says they got themselves in that mess ? Have you missed the posts from people who didn't owe the money ?

Many debt collectors have been told that they are calling the wrong person and they still won't back off. That's not helpful. People have enough stress in their day to day life without that added to it.

" They will work with you even if you could only pay $5." - Yeah. Because they HAVE to.

How are you going to call someone out on their grammar when your post doesn't even have perfect punctuation, etc.? To all of you out there worried about the calls from this company, just answer the call and they will work with you.  Their intentions aren't to be mean, but when you take thousands of dollars from the govt. and feel you don't need to deal with it and you get rude with a collector what do you expect?  They literally are there to help you get yourself out of the mess you got yourself in.  They will work with you even if you could only pay $5.  Their job is to help get you out of default not to bother you.  You owe a debt and its due in full and they just want to help you get back on track.  If you are sick of the calls take care of it then they won't have a reason to call.  If they are callling the wrong number tell them not to call and legally they cannot again.

BEWARE!!! This company is a group of scammers that is trying to obtain your personal information. First the dumb lady that called me couldn't get her phone to work. She claimed the mute button kept going off by itself (yeah right somebody was coaching her on how to scam).

Then she told me she wanted to discuss a "personal business matter" regarding a student loan account and asked me for my date of birth. I told her I'm not giving out any personal information to a stranger on the phone and she said "well just verify your social for me, I have it right here." So I told this dumb witch if you have my social why don't you tell it to ME so I know you're legitimate - why would you need to ask me for it.

She got real upset so I just yelled SCAM SCAM SCAM over and over until she hung up.

This is a PHISHING SCAM!! DO NOT "VERIFY" ANY INFORMATION WITH THEM!!! THEY ARE NOT LEGIT!!

Don't know who this is, but I don't NEVER answer it, but they are relentless sometimes!  I assume it is collections for a delinquent student loan I owe from 20 years ago to the tune of $3100. So, you all ARE right, and the loan itself IS the scam!

We keep getting calls from this number. I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize. They don't leave a message so I don't know who it is but searching the internet, I've found that it is some type of debt collecting  establishment. They need to stop calling.

Jeff called my stepmother from this number. He said that I had put her name down as a reference for something but would not tell her what. I never use family as a  reference for anything and if it is something important I have my own telephone number for these individuals to use. I get telephone calls from a 636-925-5300. Whoever calls from that number does not leave a message. I have answered it before and gotten no answer. I believe this to be a scam. If it really is someone trying to collect on a debt they need to contact me first off during normal business hours and NOT after 8 pm or before 8 am. And second they need to leave a message about what they need to speak to me about--and not call people that I supposedly put down as a reference.

I have recently been getting calls from this number and not sure who or what it is about. I see on here that some are saying it is a scam, can anyone confirm that? I had some debt in the past but I am all up to date and have been for a few years so concerned this might be a scam.

Learn to spell you idiot!  It's "their" bills, not "there" bills.  Good God, it's no wonder people don't take most of the posts on here seriously, especially when they're written by people who can't even spell and use grammar correctly!

This company does verify employment for individuals, by not answering the questions you were being obstinate. That's not an offensive word though, look it up. Ask next time for info about the company go to their website to be sure they are legit.

you mean they legally called a place you used to work to attempt to verify employment to see if you still worked there? All legal. They have the right by law to give only person who verifies employment your information to make sure they have the right person....before they garnish you. <-- Look I just saved you lawyer fees.

This company Financial Asset Management Systems 1-877-539-3913 Ext 2176  Jeff called under the pretense of verifying employment on someone.  At this point I explained that we do not verify employment except via fax with the employee's signature attached.  He stated that I was was being obstinate because I would not verify employment with a few simple questions.  Please be careful verifiying anyones employment over the phone, scams are out there and you never know who is calling, liabililty is an issue if you do so over the phone and it turns out it isn't a verifcation after all.

Pertaining to comment from 11 Oct 2008, they are a collections agency also using the number 1-636-925-5300. Organization is very rude and pushy.  Have hung up on them many times over and still do not get the hint.  They want your work number and will call you there and harass you as well.
