They alledge that a debt is old (in some cases over 10-12 years) and they are attempting to collect the debt in behalf of a company called "CUZO CAPITAL INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT" thAT they alledge placed the account with them.  Here are some interesting links that address litigation actions agsinst both companies.
There are some interesting litigation actions against both companies when you google their names.  They have even had letterhead and envelopes printed to msil out very vague and limited information about the proposes debted account.   They dont learn very well!!!   THEY ARE THE BOTTOM FEEDERS OF THE SCAMMER WORLD. They must think evrryone is gullible.

Sent a certified, return receipt dispute letter to Oxford Law LLC. Got a letter back. They closed the account. No Kidding.
Again, if you receive a letter, send a certified return receipt dispute letter and do not put your signature on it.

Received a letter from these people. So I called. The guy said his name was David Hunter. I asked him who ACCE International
was in the letter listed as a client. He told me they merged with MBNA. I told him I settled my debt with MBNA in 2008, that I had a PAID IN FULL, NO FURTHER OBLIGATION letter. He wanted me to send the letter. I did some research. He called me two days later. I asked him again who  ACCE INT was. He said they hired Oxford to collect. Then I asked him who Providian Bank was that was listed as the Original Creditor on the letter. He told me MBNA sold them my account. Whoa. LOL. Then he asked when I am going to make a payment. I said, "You sent me a letter. I'm going to use it." He said, "Good day Ma'am."  Even if they are a fraud, send that letter certified return receipt. Even a fraudulent judgment can be put on your credit report. Don't take that chance. I read in other forums where judgments were put on their credit report.........And I didn't send him a copy of my settlement. One other thing. Never Ever put your signature on a dispute letter. Signatures have a way of jumping documents.

Anouther call from a Michelle Black...... for a debt on a person who is not at my address. This is Harrasment!

SCAM!!!  Received a letter stating I owed over $8000 on a Discover credit card, which I don't.  Original creditor listed as Discover Bank, and Oxford Law, LLC (311 Veterans Highway, Suite 100 A, Levittown, PA, 19056) is acting on behalf of a third party client.  When I researched the "client" that this supposed law firm is supposedly acting on behalf of, my search returned a consumer research firm for food products.  (I believe that it is entirely coincidental that the fake client named is an actual company.)  Also, the back of the letter indicated that, for my "convenience", I can do a wire transfer of the amount I owe.  This has scam written all over it.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC for fraud and scam.  Am considering filing a second complaint against them with FTC for money wiring scam too.  And if they try to call me, I'll file a complaint with FCC.  LOL!

Received a call from John Phillips from Oxford Law,  number to call back was 1-877-543-6151, the number that appeared on my work caller ID was 215-526-2600. First of all they should have never called me at work and not only did they ask for the incorrect name they had the audacity to hang up on me when I started to questions about who they are. Scam artists at their best.

Michelle Black has called not me, but my fathers cellphone looking for me, leaving a message claiming OXFORD LAW OFFICE, 1-877-543-6151 ext. 147 (although, the number on the caller id log on the cellphone says 1-215-526-2600, which is PA,USA). And leaving a message stating importance and to refer to a file number she left. Very weird and sounds like a scam. First of all, why does she have my retired fathers cellphone number? A number I have never given out to anyone. At least she said my name right, lol. But I will not return this call. Sounds fishy.

I want to report this so called Oxford Law, Llc I called them back twice and both time was put on hold and they never got back to me.  They have called family members and my ex-husband looking for me. I am going to the Attorney Generals office with this I am tired of this.

My daughter got a call on her cell phone from Mark Silvers at 877-543-6151.  Looking for her brother.  Her cell is in my name.  How did he get her info?  Was asking info that he obviously already has!  Said it is a very serious matter but wouldn't say what it was in regards to.  Wouldn't say how he got her name or number.  If he can get my daughters number so easily, why can't he get my sons number?  Said it's concerning an issue way back (years ago) during his previous marriage.... Said he is with the Oxford Law Group in PA....  

A DAVID HUNTER called me from this # and said: It's important that WE SPEAK regarding ( Specific Names ) who in the past lived in my Partner's house. Not in any way  referencing me. What the heck? Do they REALLY think Im gonna cal them?

Rec'd call from a female voice stating she was 'from Oxford Law Office'.asking for someone I did not know.  We have received this call before and instructed them not to call again.
Does anyone know where this so-called Oxford Law Office is located?  Just need the State and  can take it from there...

just got a call from a pennsylvania # 877-543-6151.  Sent it to voice mail.  Said his name is David Hunter, works with Oxford Wahl LLC and gave a case #.  Says it is regarding debt collection.  Right there I knew it was a scam.  I don't owe anybody anything.

What are these guys up to?  My Call was from Frank Morgan.  He kept asking if I knew the name of the company, had the girl given me the name.  All she had said was attorneys office.  He identified himself as Frank Morgan.

My phone was off when they called, but when I turned it on I saw I had an urgent message.  This Renee Quinn said she was calling in regards to my mother, and stated her name.  She made it sound very urgent so I immediately called my mother to see if she was ok, (but it was 1AM her time).  She didn't answer, but I got my dad, and of coarse everything was just fine.  I'm just completely outraged that they make people think something terrible is going on, to where I had to wake my parents up in the middle of the night to see if they are ok!!!!  What a crock!!!!!

Received call from Gabe Hoffman looking for my ex wife. Could only get her name via skip trace. Ex is up to her eyeballs in debt.

Will refer this to my attorney.

Called me three times within 24 hours called my brother and acted like they were looking for him on some unknown debt I did not give them any info my brother called them back they finally said they were looking for me gave him a case number they have broken the law I will make them pay

Got a call from 215-526-2600 today.  The caller ID read "OXFORD LAW"

Didn't answer the phone, but the caller left a message for a person I've never heard of.
The message stated that it was a legal-debt collection matter and that if I'm not the recipient of the call, I need to delete the message or I could be prosecuted under local, state, and federal law...yet they were the one's who left the message.

Number is now blocked on my phone.

Got a call from 215-526-2600 and male i.d. self as "David Hunter". He was a jerk, so I hung up the phone within 30 seconds of the call. I then blocked this number from calling my phone. No one has to speak with indignant debt collectors who act as if their credit is squeaky clean and as if THEY are debt free. Some of those same people, I've learned have bill collectors calling them for money. Hypocrites! And you have the nerve to speak to others as if you are perfect? Right....

Jason Freeman was first man on this "Good Guy/Bad Guy" scam team. Then transferred me to Lee Walker, ext. 232. Very hostile and when cornered after peppering him with my with my own questions that he didn't care for, he got so flustered he was breathing so hard in my ear that I had to pull phone away. Told him to calm own and I too record my calls... so stop saying thing's I did not say. Such as claiming I have amnesia, among other things .

Received a call from 215-526-2600 today (24 Oct).
Caller was "Alan Wakefield" and was looking for a person I've never heard of.
When I told him this, he was polite and said thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

got a message from this # and when I returned the call, they wee looking for my sister, which he replied was tied to me against a lawsuit. I asked him to reference what it was about and he wouldn't tell me. I asked if my name was tied with hers why he couldn't give me any info. He said it was because of a privacy act. My sister called and he told her he was going to a meeting and would call her back in 10 minutes if he could have her #. She said no and he hung up on her. What does that tell you?  BOGUS!!

Phone message leaving this number saying it was Mike Powers and to call back for ext 223 and to mention File nos 5891702 and 5891702 (first clue - two files with same #) and the name (Mike Powers).  They even used my actual name in the message.  When I returned the call, the person at that extension was out to lunch and the person answering said it was with the Oxford Law offices.  I did not call back again.

This is a RIDICULOUS! debt collector - trying to collect payment on a bill that was paid a long time ago.  They called my dad - who lives 235 miles away from me.  They also called and harassed my 92 year old neighbor ... telling her that it's "life and death" - INSISTING that she leave her home immediately to bring me her phone so they could speak to me.  She got into her car (is recovering from a double hip replacement) and drove across the street, used her walker to get to my front door in order to hand me her phone - but they had hung up before she managed to get it to me.  I called back the number they're leaving (all over the state) but was put on hold for 52 minutes when I finally disconnected.  I am furious.
