these jerks keep calling me. my bank ALWAYS covers my checks so there is no way i wrote a bad one to be collected on. found their website - it looks like their corporate building is a trailer. Come on how stupid would I have to be? I did find their list of "executives" and found a few on white pages. Am going to call and hassle them starting this evening.

Keep getting calls from this collection agency for someone I know absolutely nothing about.

This is a scam. Do not call them, take their calls or give them anything.

Left a message yesterday for my wife.  Individual was very rude demanding a response by 5 pm EST.  Sounded very questionable.  Called today.  Had wrong address for us so I told them to remove us from any record they have.  Very sketchy - be very careful when corresponding with this company.

I rec'd a call from this company, Infinity Fars, regarding a returned check because I closed an account.  I thought odd that the acct was turned over to collections since only two months late but they knew all about transaction and me.  I foolishly paid them amt plus $30 check return fee and a month ago got another bill from the vendor stating I still owed money.

If you are being contacted by this company in error, then talk to someone at the company about the correct documentation that needs to be sent. Banks do make these mistakes often. I can assure you this company does not work out of a trailor. The building on the website is just a small view of a very nice facility.

Called me at 7:52 am CST on October 26, 2009, left no message.  I called the number back, the Kentucky redneck woman answered.  She states, "it must have been an error, because if we were trying to get in touch with you, we would have left a message."  She stated the number is for Infinity, a check recovery service.  I explained to her that I have never bounced a check in my life.  Kentucky redneck woman then stated that they'll just call me back if they were trying to get in touch with me.  I told her to remove my phone number from any list they may have, and I do not wish to be contacted and hung up.  Should I just have my number disconnected?

This number has called me every other day for a week, sometimes I receive an automated machine and other times I speak to a Kentucky redneck woman.  They are always asking for "Mary."  I tell them there is no Mary at this number and they tell me they will mark the account as invalid.  They always end up calling back.  They will not give me the name of a manager or person in charge.  Where do I turn to report this, FTC?

I was very unsure about this number when I received a call from them. I had recently closed a checking account and that was the problem. I had written a check to the local high school and they held the check. I missed that it had not cleared the checking account when I closed it. The call came from 877-546-2675, a company called Infinity (Fars). I was familiar with Fars, a check recovery company but not Infinity. At any rate, the call was legitimate and my check had "bounced" because the account was closed. After carefully checking out who they were, I took care of the funds. You can check the company name out on google by typing in Infinity. That's how I connected then to Fars.
On that note, we unfortunately have to assume the worst about calls we receive because of the scams that are out there. I would have preferred to been contacted by mail but that was not what happened. If you do receive calls from this number, don't hesitate to have them verify who they are before you give them any banking information.

They keep calling our business wanting to speak to the owner, I tell them she's not in and ask to take a message. They refuse to leave a message and then tell me that they've left messages and no response (which is a lie) then say something like "well i'll just call her at home" and end up calling us back an hour or so later and go through the process all over again. Sounds too fishy to me.

I received a call from a Bill at Infinity telling me that I wrote a bad check.  He gave me the amount and told me who the check was made out to.  I told him that that check was re-sent to the company a month and a half ago.  I asked him on who's behalf he was calling for and he said the compaNy I made the check out too (He abbreviated the name of the company exackly how the check was made out and could not tell me the full company name of whom he was representing???) RED FLAG.  I called the company I made the check out too and they said they have no idea who Infinity is.  THIS IS A SCAM!!! I also tried calling the # back and there was no answer.

Keep getting calls from 1-877-546-2675 requesting me to call...they are using a married name from 15 years ago and so I am uneasy about calling.  now after reading this, i know I won't call...I have no outstanding checks...especially not from 15 years ago!  Isn't there a statute of limitations on that anyway?  The company on reverse call is Infinity Business out of Barbourville, KY.  Not going to call..hope they leave me alone!

beware! this company (infinity) has no consciousness. i tried to solve a problem caused by 'American Scholarships' (which is a scam, by the way) and hung up on me 3 times. once they realized i was on to their scam they no longer wanted to collect money from me. i kept calling back and no one answered. finally, i called back a while later and some woman by the name of Sharon answered and hung up on me, again. Please, beware!

Just got a call from tis number. "Please hold while we transfer the call". I waited, and got "No representatives are available, please call us back at this number".

Yeah, ok.

RECORDER MESSAGE SAID NO REPRESENTATIVE WAS AVAILABLE TO TALK TO ME AT THE MOMENT TO PLEASE CALL THIS NUMBER.  THEY GAVE ME AN ID NUMBER.

A recorded message told me to call the number for very important business.  It is FARS, also known as Infinity, a collection agency for bad checks.  They do not keep very good records, or were trying to swindle me, as I had to fax them proof that I paid them a long time ago.  I then contacted the business I wrote the check to, and they had not gotten paid, either, so I made sure that happened, and then I reported them to my state's attorney's office.

They called, number wasn't listed... but then after saying hello like 5 times they said they were calling about some very important business and I needed to call them back at 8775462675. Umm, no thanks.
