Received a letter from Client First Settlement Funding LLC out of Boca Raton FL.  It says they want me to contact them re the estate of my father who has been deceased for four years.  Supposedly it is related to annuity payments he has coming for sale of an annuity to this company. 1) my father had no annuity so this letter is bogus 2) the number to call is the same one as mentioned in the posts on this site. IE if you get a letter from Client First Settlement Funding LLC from Lenny Elder at 877-547-6731 or anyone else connected with the company TRASH it.  It is a scam

I feel cheated...my scam offer was only for $500 if I called within 48 hours. Of course, the post office was slow in getting it to me, so I would have lost our anyway...lol

Thanks for all the posts. Rec'd the postcard with "free 8 day/7 night cruise".
This lists Priceline and Carnival as "partner network". This phone number was on the card with no other contact info.

Received a post card from this number with a free cruise offer (Carnival) and $1000 free offer. The card has many well-known companies' log: Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Meijer and CVS ... Asked to call the 877 number. Too good to be true.

I was not called, but received a Congratulations letter, that I had been selected to receive an 8 day cruise for 2 with an outside cabin, leaving from any major port in the U.S. To find out how to claim this special offer I was to call 1-877-547-7302. Then I was told, if I would call within 48 hours I would receive a $1000 savings certificate redeemable at Trader Joe's, Walmart, Target, Kroger, CVS pharmacy. I called only Trader Joe's and was told that the phone nbr. listed was not the phone number of a company they were doeing business with.
That settled the issue for me and the letter wound up in my round file, and I suggest you do the same, if they should try to contact you.

Same as below - round-trip airfare, week cruise paid for because it's my birthday. Obvious scam - fine print says it isn't affiliated with Carnival Cruises, although that's what they tell you is your prize in the title/ Very creepy that they have my name, address, and month of my birthday. Must work on somebody because they've been doing this for years.

Spoke with the rep and heard the presentation. he was a very angry person. Very condescending and almost rude when I asked simple questions. I understand you have to pay the port fees and taxes but he couldnt answer the question of who I pay that too. Told him it was a scam from along time ago and he should be ashamed of himself then hung up the phone. He called back off the recording and started to get rude. I then invited him to my place for an old fashoned a** kicking

Most likely a scam.  Google prize scams and read about what to look for, what questions to ask, how to spot a scam.

I despise con jobs.  I got a flyer in the mail; no return address, but a glaring FINAL NOTICE.  I knew
right away it was some marketing scam, so I opened it.  Wow - I had won a free 8 day cruise AND a
bonus, 2 free airfares.  This was too hilarious, so I called the 877 number.   I pinned the guy down as to
who was offering this 'free' gift.  He said Vacation Tours.  There IS no such company.  And I pressed him further - saying what company can afford to just give away over $2,000 worth of product and expect
nothing in return.  Then he said it was Epic Travel, a company in Ft Collins, Colorado.  And they hoped
I'd enjoy my trip so much that I'd tell all my friends, and that I'd travel with them again.  What a pack of
lies.  There IS NO Epic Travel company in Ft Collins.  No Vacation Tours.  I argued that any company wanting to give away such travel gifts should put their name on the envelope.  The guy finally said if
I wasn't interested in the offer, he had other calls to answer.  A smart person will Google 'free cruise
scams' or other such scams and read up on it - educate yourself.

My husband and I actually made an appointment and drove 40 mins in 5 o'clock traffic to meet with someone at "East Coast Travel" (as they called themselves).  The meeting was scheduled in a Marriott Hotel.  We were told it was a group presentation.  We arrived 5 mins. past our appt. time and were told that because we were late we would not be admitted to the presentation.... they said there were NO seats left and that we could re-schedule or sit down and wait for a gift.  We were told that we were "rude" and that it was "unacceptable" that we were late (remember 5 mins).  We promptly left and of course don't believe that there was a presentation or a room full of people anywhere.  A TOTAL scam!  Wish we had checked this site prior.  Huge waste of time and we were so infuriated by our "greeter's" disrespect and impertinence!

How does a company with 108 complaints keep a BBB A+ rating? Though a "legally" operating business, the gift hurdles hardly make them a straight shooting operation. I hate high pressure sales of any kind so, even if I was interested (I'm not), I would still be tossing the flyer in the garbage.
