Just received the same kind of message mentioning my wife and garneshing my wife wages within 48 hours.

I just got a call from the same company. The guy blew up my work number after I hung up on him from my cell phone and when realized I was the one answering the work phone, he started cussing and me and threatened that if I didn't make a payment over the phone with him to resolve the case filed against me, I would be arrested at my home or work place. He couldn't even confirm my home address. All of this was from when I got a payday loan online from a place called GreenPine Lending. He was very rude and threatening. He told me to quit f*cking hanging up on him or I would get what I deserve. Who are these people??? And he called from an anonymous number.

If that isn't his name that means he is a scammer trying to get as much money as he can he wants to take it out of my checking account what is his name do u know I really would like to know cause I'm pretty sure he will call again tomorrow.

Per the FDCPA, you should not pay any caller who refuses to MAIL - do not accept email or fax - proof of debt/proof your caller has the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this documentation within five days of their initial contact with you is a violation of federal law.  Threatening you with arrest is another blatant violation of federal law - debt is civil, not criminal.  Bottom line, if they refuse to mail written, verifiable proof that you owe them money, they can go pound sand - per the FDCPA.   More info here:

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

The first call I got was from the same number u listed how many numbers are there.

On my latest post I forgot to say the man that contacted me his name is John Stohler and the number he called from is 888-644-5583 constantly all the time everyday for about two weeks now someone please give me some advice.

I got a call from a John Stolher working with Castle PayDay Loans very harsh man and demanding almost 350.00 a month for 10 months. What can I do?

This is true.  I worked collection for a year.  Quit could not do or say the things they wanted me to say

Recieved a call from these people stateing that there was a formal complaint against my daughter and they gave a file number if

People calling from 888-644-5583 have been calling my work several times a day, calling my family, friends, and bank leaving my name and last four of my social on every answering machine.  When you call back they do not identify themselves as being with Levy Brown and Keller as they had previously said on the phone.  When you question them they become rude, beligerint and obnoxious.  They need to be stopped.  They do not identify themselves as a debt collection agency, as they should by law.  I understand they might be affiliated with internet  payday loans, which by the way operate illegally in the state of Virginia, if you didn't physically walk into a payday loan company licensed in Virginia, then the loans are illegal.  These people are persistent, nasty, and claim they know the law.  It is a scare tactic and a scam.  They never identify what company supposedly has hired them.  They faslely misrepresent lawyers, federal officials, etc.  I have even received emails on letterhead that looks official fromthe Federal District Court, but it isn't official.  They are worthless and probably have never worked an honest day in their entire lives.  Most of the numbers they are calling from are originating out of Amherst New York.  File a report with your local police department, the state's attorney general office and the Federal Trade Commission.  You might want to also let the social security administration know by alerting them regarding fraud.  

Total scam.  Debt collectors cannot garnish wages.  It takes a court judgment in most cases to do this.   Ignore them and do not give them any information.

Meantime don't talk to them. Don't return their calls.  Don't give them any information. Do not agree to pay them anything. They are trying to scare you into paying them something by putting out stupid legal terms which imply you are going to be prosecuted. Total scam.  You can't be arrested for ordinary civil debt.  Only police arrest people for crimes.  Debt collectors have no power of arrest or prosecution.

Got a call leaving a file number and I needed to call them as soon as possible to advise them of my intentions regarding this matter, the call was a robocall and left the number 1-877-548-4051; I tried to call back but it states that this number is not set up to take inbound phone calls.  Another debt collector SCAM

I got the same call. Threatning me at work. I ask them to email me the bill never did.

I received a call from a Jason Chambers stating that the call was for "solicitation of false instruments" and that I had 24hours to contact them back to get my statement. What's weird is that they called around 3:30pm on a Saturday but they didn't call my cell phones, they call my grandmother's house and my mother's cell phone. When I called the number back and left a voicemail (like a fool) I noticed that the voicemail didn't not belong to Mr. Jason Chambers but to a Mr. Patrick Allerd, who stated he was on the other line and he'd return the call as soon as possible. The number is: (844) 788-0789. I saws one other person receiving these calls but their call was about payday loans. How do I stop them?

I get constantly harassed at work by a company that says they are Levy Brown & Keller.  I have asked them countless times not to call me at work and they ignore me.  After I refuse to talk to them they ask to speak to my supervisor.    The number is 844-788-0789

my brother got a call from this company last week from a mr sloan? i paid a debt off to a mr sloan about 7 months ago and they were called a different name. i listened to the message from mr sloan to my brother same voice same message? what a joke this company is and i have NEVER recieved a paid off letter i asked for  DO NOT PAY WHATEVER COMPANY NAME THEY USE EVER!!!!!! I just got a phone call today 4/15/14 from a Charles that works for Levy Brown and Keller the number I was given was 1844-7788-0789 ? IKR Ext: 549. Charles stated that they where getting ready to sign off on some paper work that he was sure I was not aware of dealing with a pay day loan from Captial Loan where I was making payments in 2011 not so. I don't have a loan with a  Captial Loan. anyway thanks my mind kept pundering and led me to this website I to will go today with the information I have and file a police report Oh and yes they called my cell number so many times with threanting messages today they called me on my job that's it.

I just received call from a phone number of 8773283781 his name was John Stolher.  He had some crazy court docket number too.  I know that in order for someone to serve me it has to be written and received by cop/3rd party/Fed Ex.  They ended up calling my brother, which they provided him all of my information about the debt.  They have a criminal proceding linking into the city that I live but I can't find the docket number any where.  Who do you contact?  I don't want them to contact other persons in my family and make threatening phone calls too.
