I received a call a couple of weeks ago from Gregory S. Foster and he left a message saying it was very important that I contact him but I looked up his number and saw all they bad post from other people so I did not call him back but now I received a letter stating I owe money so should I still send him a letter demading they cease and desist or is it to late to do so since they already sent me this letter? I have no idea what this collection is for and I don't want to call them. What should I do?

Well I had the same type of call from the law office of gregory s. foster and I went on the internet and there was only one so what I did was called him and gave him all the information about this company using his name frauduently.  I also gave him their number and I am waiting for him to call me back.

Seems the # you gave for Greg Foster's Law Firm is a "Seed Company" and the address you gave is down the street from this Seed Company. Or - they are extremely good at covering their tracks. If they were legit - why woul;d everyone have trouble connecting with them? I believe it is a scam - not just a "Collection Agency" they get you to send $ for some dreamed up years old account that is just now coming to light, and you (or most people)  have no way of instantly remembering whether or not they infact owe someone or not. Just look at the common theme in these messages.... SCAM, purely my suspicion!

I keep getting phone calls from these people about a lady from my past. I told them I haven't seen her 20 years and I'm married now and wish you people would stop calling. This guy asked me if I was getting racial by saying you people. I still can't believe this crap was said to me. I told him I belong to eracisim and didn't appreciate that. We should all get together and see what can be done for this harrasment.......................

Now my mother has received numerous calls from 1-800 numbers with the caller ID saying '1-800 Service' for some lady with the same first and last name but different middle name about debt. She has called at least 3 back saying to take her off their list and that they've got the wrong number. And now today she received a call from 877-556-0670 from a man named Ron Selps that he's calling about some 'legal matters in the office' and to call back at that number immediately. She called but received an answering machine which she didn't leave a message. It's really putting a lot of stress on her. :/

They called me the other day and I told them to go ahead and talk to me if they wanted to,  however I said that I hoped they didnt mind that I was masturbating while listening to them,  They hung up.  LMFAO.

Maybe you could call your bank and tell them what happen, then you could ask them  could make a report on fraud toward this so called company. I had that happen to me, and  my bank help me with the process, and I received my money back. It really scared them to dealth. I hope this help. We lived and we learned.

I received a call from 267-525-7077 from a Mr. Madison who stated that he is a law enforcement officer with the law firm of Gregory Foster. Even gave me a file number. I returned the call, was directed to an answering machine and am awaiting further developments. I am so glad that I googled this and found your site!

Got a phone message @ 7:53AM, Thursday, June 9, 2011.  Said she was Wendy Fischer of Law Office of Greg Foster with an urgent matter, etc.  Fortunately, I checked online first and found the info. in this thread.  I called (Sat.) and left message that I would press charges and if they wanted to go to court for being scammers, to keep calling.  I would put them in jail.  I owe no one any money.

We'll see if they pursue this.

repeated calls from this number........He actually started to leave a message looking for a deceased relative of ours I picked up but had to run out quickly and now I'm not sure about wanting to call back. This relative passed away 9 years ago and he started telling me that I was wrong about the length of time that she's gone.

Received a call from "John" at Gregory Foster law firm in Sacramento CA.  from 877-556-0670.  This ties into an earlier call from India saying they were with US Fast Cash.  Evidently when I got a payday loan from US Fast Cash, my information was sold and this Indian extortion group which called and threatened me with legal action when I would not wire them money.  US Fast Cash told me they had no connection to this Indian extortion group.  I have read similar accounts of "John"  an attorney in California harassing people who did not fall for the Indian extortionists.  This needs to stop these entortionists need to meet up with the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney Generals Office.

The best and easiest way to deal with this kind of harrassment is to get their mailing address and fax number.  Simply write a letter to any collection company that ever calls you and state, "that you demand they cease and desist any and all collection activitiy regarding you or this account" Reference their account number and send it to them return receipt requested.  Send a fax copy as well as this often stops them immediately instead of waiting for mail.  This works every time, because it is the law as stated in the federalstatute regarding "fair collection practices". If they ever again contact you after receipt of the letter, they are subject to a $1000 fine for every attempt.  There are many lawyers that take these cases in New york and California at no charge ( they collect part of the fine as payment) and I am sure every where else.  Do not argue with them or ever feel threatened.  Simply send the letter and pay no mind to ANYTHING they say.  Collection companies can do absolutely nothing once you tell them to "cease and desist", those specific words.

Have received 3 calls from these jokers at work over the last several weeks . I read these posts several weeks ago and wasn't planing on calling them back but they called again at work today so I figured I'd let them have it.

I spoke with Carl Richards whom I advised that I'm not in the habit of dealing with scam artists and didn't belive that they were attorneys but debt collectors who failed to advise that they were calling as an attempt to collect a debt . They said they were calling about an account with Chase Bank whom I also contacted who has never heard of these guys .

He became pretty upset and had no response when I told him about Chase , I also stated that becuase they are a debt collection agency they are supposed to be upfront about collecting a debt on messages and when I speak with and he responded that he did not.

I also said that I ddin't believe that they were attorneys and that I filed compalints with the Pennsylvania and Ohio Attouney generals office . He even got more upset and asked me if wanted the law offices bar number which I should have taken but doesn't probably should have taken but most buisnesses ect.. usually have an attorney anyhow , he also asked  if I had heard of some law and gave an accronym
for it and advised that he would have to speak to me in laymens terms, he then just repeated himself and asked again if I heard of this legal term .

I then asked if he heard of how to p****off !? He then asked if thats the best I can do, I then said yes but
didn't want to waste the effort on him and hung up. If these guys wer legit he wouldn't have gotten upset when I called him out and wouldn't have asked if I could do better as far as insults .

I have received messages from "Mary Jones" and "Wanda Ferguson" at the numbers below, respectively, both on behalf of Attorney Greg Foster.  They call me in order to reach a relative.  

My bills are in order.  I will never return their calls.

i am behind on a credit card, and i am getting calls all day and night from this number.  i am on disability and i need to know is there anything i can do to stop these calls, if anybody knows anything please let me know, thanks.

Is there any possible way to get them to leave people alone? They called my grandmother saying I'm in debt for a student loan I have through a company called Genesis. I've never even heard of this company so I'd like to know how it's possible I have student loans through them that I'm unaware about! I hate that my 76 year old grandmother is being harrassed by them and I'd like to know how I can make it stop!

this is the second time they called me.  first time in feb they tried collecting a debt i settled with best buy in jan.  they called again today wanting a final statement and if i had counsel to have him present....left this message on voicemail.  now thinking i could get screwed on stuff like this i called back the collection agency i settled with and got a certified letter showing the debt was settled, just to make sure.  so i call them back and talk to carl richards.  told him this was already settled, told them i was not falling for their scam,  told them i was not going to give them any money, and was not goin to give them a statement, i then told them if they want to press the matter to take me to court because i have paperwork to back it up.  i did not let them get in a single word at all, and at the end of all of this they hang up on me.  well i guess when they figure out you got your stuff together they dont want to talk anymore.  all they want to do is bully and pressure people into paying them, dont give in.

I just received a call from 267-525-7060 from Laura who sounded like a computerized voice.  She said she was calling from an attorney's office, Greg Foster and that I should call back for an important and urgent message.  She left a phone number of 877-556-0670 and said that it was to collect a debt and that they represented US Bank and there would be major consequences if I did not return the call.  First of all, I have never dealt with or heard of US Bank, second of all I received a similar call from a man some six months ago claiming to be an Officer with the U.S. Government. When I asked what Government Department he was with, he hung up.  Then another man called me back screaming that I should take this call seriously or major consequences would follow and I would be arrested at my office and that they would call my employer and get me fired.  I was appalled and could not believe that we have to be subjected to this kind of treatment especially from someone who sounded like he was of Indian decent (from India).  This person also had my ss#, full name and address.  How the heck is it that our system allows people like these shady characters to invade in our privacy.  

Most people would be scared; I am ignoring the calls... wish we could get these people arrested for fraud and invasion of privacy.  CAN ANYONE STOP THESE DISGUSTING PEOPLE FROM CALLING?
