Called and said he was from US CELLULAR and asked for my zip code I gave it then asked for My Password I hung up on them.

I missed a call from this number. when I called back, it was a recorded message all in Spanish. We do not fluently speak Spanish. ???? Sounds scammy to me...

I called them back, it is us cellular, but they have  a weird policy with their contracts.  If it isn't in both husband and wife names, they will not talk at all with the other spouse.  It is the worst company I have had to deal with on this issue.  I have needed to do several things and could only do them through my husband.  VERY INCONVENIENT.  They should state that when they call and not just hang up though.

I noticed 2 missed calls from my cell so while at work I decided to give the number a call back.  Gerald at "US Cellular" asked me to verify my cell# which I did.  He then told me that I needed to verify some information including the last 4 digits of my social security#. I told him that I would not give out that information he then stated that he's soooo sorry that he could not help me then.  He said when I am "willing to help him, he would be willing to help me."  I told him to &%*k off!

Keep getting the phone calls and won't answer because I have an unlisted number.  After reading the above messages, I'm glad I didn't answer. Please do something to get rid of these scammers.

I had the same thing happen to me last night. I did not answer because I did not recognize the number and knew I didn't owe anything. Then I was sitting at work abd the same number called again. I answered the call and they guy then tried to get my social but I would not give it to him. He furthermore got upset with me and that is when I hung up. How did they get my cell???

Received a call at 5:40 P.M. on Nov 14th on my home phone. When I attempted to answer the phone there was no one there. I'm a U.S. Cellular subscriber but I haven't had any contact with them in months. My home phone calls are forwarded to my cell which is where I read the caller ID number.

Is this happening to everyone right after having spoken with real representatives of US Cellular?  Because I just called US Cellular yesterday to add texting to my phone, and I received a call from these fraudulent b****oles today. They must have hacked into US Cellular's system or are being given our numbers by the company because I just got a call not five minutes ago from 877-557-1890. I screen all my calls, so they just hung up. I'm sure they'll try again though.

I've missed several calls from this same telephone number. So I decided to call this number back. I was prompt just like the real U.S. Cellular Customer Service automative system does. I noticed they used the term,"an agent will be right with you". I spoke to a man by the name of Tory who say's he was calling regarding my U.S. Cellular account and needed to verify information from me, in order to pull up my account and let me know what the problem was. My name, last 4 digits of SS# and my password. I told him if he gives me the first and last digits of my password I'll give him the rest. He said, he wasn't allowed to do that. I KNOW HE WAS LYING AND FULL OF ****, because I had just called and spoke with U.S. Cellular  2days prior to this call and there is no problem with my account. THIS IS FRAUD!!!!

answered phone, they ask for my wife by name and I said she wasn't here, they hung up without saying anything else. *(star)69'd to get number. seems to happen regularly sometimes male caller sometimes female. *69 doesn't always get a number. but they always seem to hang up before you can say anything else. she does have a US Cellular account.

I have received 2 calls from this number in the past 3 weeks, each time the caller gives me speal about how they wanted to let me know about some of the available phone and plan specials US Cellular has to offer.  After asking for my billing zip code, they ask for the last 4 digits of my SSN.  The first time I refused to give it to them saying I was not comfortable giving that information out to an unknown incoming call, the caller (whose name I did not catch) actually laughed at me, saying I had no need to be concerned.  The second caller, who's name was Eric, wanted to set up a password so that no future callers would need to ask for security info-of course he needed my last 4 digits to do that.  Eric was not happy when I asked that he remove me from their solicitations listing, to which he replied that he could not do that without accessing my account and verifying my info.  Regardless of whether or not this is a valid US Cellular call, I've been offended by the nonchalant attitude the representative seem to have at requiring this type of information be provided.

I received a call from this number.  The caller said his name was Jermaine and he was calling from US CELLULAR. He told me my contract was about up (which is true) and he wanted to offer me a deal on a new phone/contract.  He asked me for my ZIP code, which I gave him, to see what offers were available in my area.  He then asked me for the password to my cell phone, which I don't know off hand, but wouldn't have given it to him even if I remembered.  And then he asked me for the last four digits of my social security number, in which I laughed at him and told him, "I don't think so".  He then told me if I took advantage of the deal he had to offer over the phone, I'd save more money, and save myself a trip to the store.  I think I'd rather risk spending more money in the store!  SCAM!

I screen my cell phone calls, so I rarely answer numbers I do not know, and this number keeps coming up. I have never been around to answer and ask what the heck they want because they never leave a message, but have called several times.

I recieved a call on my home phone at 11:39 AM CDT on October 1, 2007,from someone asking if Maynard was there.  When I asked who it was he stated that he was "David" and that he was with U.S. Cellular.  When I started to tell him that his voice was garbled and that I could barely understand him, the call was terminated by the caller.

The caller asked for my husband and I told him he was not here.  He then said he would call him on his cell and I said now is not a good time for that.  I asked if I could help him, that I am his wife and the man hung up on me.  He said he was with U.S. Cellular.  I have called U.S. Cellular and they said this is not one of their numbers.
