Collection companies can not just garnish your wages and can not legally harass you at work either.
Do not pay them, contact your debtor and make arrangements, they will typically settle for a lower amount.

Last option: don't pay anything. It will disappear from your credit file in 6 years.

If you owe a gym, don't pay!
Any blemish to your credit for a gym will be ignored by lenders as they all know gyms are a scam!

These ppl got me for $1800 and now I have another collection agency coming at me for the same dept
so I tried to call the number they gave me and wouldn't u know it was disconnected ..

Be aware this company is now calling from a new number. Erika from this company called my parents house, which i have not lived at for over 20 years and also no longer use my maiden name. She told my mother it was extremely important that I call her back. When I spoke to Erika she asked my name and I only gave her my first name. she said let me get your "file." She then asked me for my last name. I asked her what kind of company did I call and she said she could not tell me until I gave her my last name. (I never knew my last name had the power to open up secrets of the universe lol). What major secret is it to tell me what kind of company they are?

Anyways, I told her that if she was a debt collector she had the wrong person. I just ran my credit last month & I have no derogatory marks. I do not owe anybody. She insisted she was not a debt collector but would not say why she was calling. I told her there is a lot of fraud out there & I was not giving out my full name. She called me, so if she wanted information from me then she would have to give me information first. When I refused to continue the call she threatened to come after me by legal means for debt. (I thought she just said she was not a debt collector?) I told her to go ahead and sue and I hung up the phone.

Tyler Williams called me too and DO NOT give out any info to him or anyone else with these type of calls,. They are scamming and frauduantly making up information so that they can get info on you and mess your credit up and get any information about you and your family.

I just received a call yesterday from 877-475-1339 from a Tyler stating that I know someone that they are looking for and they are needing information on them.  Then today I also received another call from 877-509-4886 from a Mr Hemley saying the same thing. So I called the last number and they guy answered the phone and said my son's name. I asked him who he was and he said the was calling from the Enforcement of Imperial Partners and he wanted to know if my son lived with me and if I knew his whereabouts.  This is not the first time that I have been getting these type of calls from the same people or company.  DO NOT give out any information to these people. The are NOT legal and no where listed in the BBB.

Just got a call from a 360-667-3007 on my cell phone...left no mess. So I called the number back and wasnt able to understand the message on their voicemail. I had to call back several times to hear "You have reached the office of the Claims Enforment Office of the Imperial Recovery Partners" There were options that I had to push to speak to an agent. I have not heard of this company so I googled theri name to see their locate and their creditcation and found nothing. then I come across this site. Now it worries me that any random person/company who claims that they have info in regards of accts/debts can take advantage of hard working folks that have been trying to build their credit up from bad choices that they have made in the past. Its hard times nowadays and it saddens me that so many people can destroy good people...when all they want in llife is to build themselves up to success...*SAD and FRUSTRATED* Thankxs people who have posted above...

Got a call fromthis place called imperial saying that I owe them money from a Wells fargo account I paid off 2 years ago. When i spoke to whoever was on the phone they told me that they did noteven have an email address but wanted my info and were very rude about it. I told them I was gonna check the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU to confirm if their business was legit and thats when they started to panic and told methat the debt had to be payed by today.  You wont get a dime out of me.

I got a call from them. Enforcement Office of Imperial Recovery is their name. Just got a call a few minutes ago. they called me from a 317 area code, but gave me the callback number of 877-490-2798. Her name was Jasmyne Bolden. Extremely rude and told me that my file MUST be off her desk today.  Do not give your info to these people!!

Call from 8775599860 saying he had a file on me.  no name.  nothing.

These people really pissed me off, it has to be a joke because they were making fun of me and rude and hell. Saying I owe money to us bank (which i do) and telling me they need this file of his desk by end of day and asking for bank information to pay it. First it was "Jenn Steelman" who called and she couldn't respond to none of my questions regarding the debt and then a man picked up saying "what seems to be the problem Don?" So I told him and he started yelling me saying its me fault and then when i start speaking he goes awww, or ohhhh and mimicking me. I told him i was gonna report and sue his a** and then made fun of me saying how can i do that when i cant afford to pay this debt and laught. He eventually hung up on me because he wouldn't give me his full name he said he was Jason and kept saying his name is not important whats important is what he has on me my name,ssn,address and other stuff so i cursed him out and he was going back and foth with me but was like im just gonna go and forward this file then and hung up. I didnt give him any of me information so dont know what he has or where he got it from?

This guys called said a fax has important info he cant leave on an answering machine! Left no name and was rude!

I received a message this morning from Sophia calling from this number.  She said that she was calling to speak with a gentleman to gather information and locate a relative.  Call her back today so they can wrap things up with the file.

Got another call today. Second time in two weeks from these people with two different company names, LukeHart & A**. a few weeks ago and today from Claim Enforcement Imperial Partners. Both asking for the same amount from the same Wells Fargo account. I went to the bank and they confirmed I do not owe anything. Deffinately a scam. Be careful and make sure not to give them any information they don't already have.

They've called 2-3 times a day for the last 6 months!!

Some guy named Mario Taylor called me from them saying I owed 177.48 to Wachovia Bank (which I think I do, I don't remember if I had an account there or not) said he had a file he had to get off of his desk that he would have to report to claims, but kept saying they could settle it and wanted me to ask friends or family to help me pay it (I don't have a job) it sounded like a scam to me, he was rude as hell and kept insisting I ask people for help to pay and when I said I didn't have any he wanted to know why. I hung up when he went to get his manager.

Got a call from Daniel Gonzales at this number 877-559-9860. Important matter that require my immediate attention. Didn't leave infor as to who they wanted to talk to.
This is the second call I recieved from them in about a month...
Sounds like a debt collector to me and I have no outstanding debts...

Re. "how was I suppose to send the payment of $1012.63," the scammers want you to pay with credit or debit card so they can't be tracked to a physical address. Do not believe anything anyone from 877-559-9860 tells you. "can't file for chapter 7 for this so call loan" is a lie but what you should do is find out from the owner of the loan that you have listed on your bankruptcy papers if they have indeed sold your loan (but should not mention you are filing bankruptcy). You have to get the name of the current owner correctly listed on your bankruptcy papers.
This is highly likely a scam call but debtors like yourself have the difficult task of figuring out if any collection call is legit or scam. This is how proper debt collection is supposed to work. Legit collectors per section 809 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf must tell you at initial contact, or send you paperwork within 5 days of initial contact, the following:
1. $amount of debt,
2. name of the current creditor (which may differ from the original creditor who might have sold your debt),
3. a statement that that debt will be assumed to be valid unless you dispute in writing within 30 days,
4. a statement that that if you do dispute in writing within 30 days, the collector must mail you written verification of the debt,
5. a statement that if you ask the collector in writing within 30 days, the collector must send you the name and address of the original creditor if it's different from the current creditor.
If you don't get the 5 disclosures, orally or in writing (you do not have to ask for it, the FDCPA requires it), treat the collector like you would any SCAMMER. Scammers are using bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.

Where is this COMPANY at??? I asked for there address and this person named "Tyler Williams" phone # 877-559-9865 ext 1124 said he COULD NOT give me the address why if I am going to pay them how was I suppose to send the payment of $1012.63 he REFUSED to give me the address...this sounds like a scam I just filed for chapter 7 and he said in the I can't file for chapter 7 for this so call loan I thought you could filed chapter 7 when you can't pay anymore so how are you suppose to start all over again!!!! I also received a call from 877-559-986 at the office.Sounds almost identical, his name was Lawrence and he had info regarding a location of someone conflicting and the file was on his desk. He was unable to leave details on the voice mail and needed a call back today. His extension 1134. He did not leave a name of the company and he did not speak clearly or professionally. If it was so urgent why would he call during the noon hour?

Scam big time. I have called them back to say the police are informed of their business practices and I have a do not call listing. That stops them for a while then they call back.

I have had background checks, have credit protections and run credit reports. All clean no bad debt or records.

Where do we report them other than bbb?

I received a call today at my mothers home in which I've never lived from this company called The Claim enforcement office of imperial partners Ph: 877-559-9865 X1599 Saying I owe a debt from 2007 to Bank of America I did but It was included in my chapter 7 bankruptcy the guy I spoke with by the name of Thomas Martin explained to me that it doesnt matter the account was sold to them and they are going to sue me for it. I have already contacted my attorney who deals especially with this type of b***s*** and provided all of the information I cant wait to sue these b*****ds!!!

Received a call a short while ago from a female "Quway".  Did not pick up and let it go to voice mail.  Call came into my cell phone.  She states the matter involves location information and it involves someone I know.  Did not represent the company.  States the details can only be discussed in private so she cannot leave any details on the voice mail.  Her extension is 1164.

Just got a call from this place that I let go to voicemail. Brandon told me that he had my file placed on his desk this morning. He can't leave any detailed information in a voicemail. Said he had some information about one of my friends and that I needed to call him back as soon as possilbe to get things resolved...
