I get the same call once every day or sometimes every day threatening for check fraud   who are these people?

Debt collect called employment and tried to discuss an employee personal debt over the phone. Who does this?

I am a seasoned collector with 20 years of experiance. These people scareded me!!! They threat felony across state line, called my ex husband mother (divorced 20 years)!!

I just got a call from my ex husband saying that his sister ( my ex sister n law) just got a message left on her answering machine from a Dan Howard at JDS. The message stated that they are looking for me because I had written bad checks across state lines. They also threatened that the police have issued a warrant for my arrest. They have called her 6 times in the last 2 weeks.  I don't know why they would call her or any of my ex family.  I have had no contact with them in over 10 yrs. I have called the  number they left 877-560-9763 but it just rings and then it sounds like someone picks up then hangs up.  Even if I were to owe a debt, isn't it illegal for them to call non immediate family ? Also to leave a message on a answering machine giving out my personal  information,? What can I do to get this to stop?

My mother got a call at her job and her cell phone today asking was she a relative of mine and left a message saying that I had a check fraud case because of wrinting bad checks across state lines.  My mother did not call thme back but the mans name that called was a Daniel POwell or tshtas what he claim his name is on the recording.  I told my mother its a scam and to not give her or my information out.  It is sad that they can just harass people.

They're scammers.  No one is given a heads up that they'll be arrested, the cops just show up.  The callers didn't provide you with WRITTEN proof that you owe a debt to them, so that also tells you they're scammers.  Per the FDCPA, it is illegal to threaten people with arrest or the serving of court papers.

Report the calls to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  When these jokers call back, tell them that you're recording all calls they make to you and your ex to give to your attorney (even if you don't have one).

JDS Recovery has called my son's and my wife's cell phones with that message about alleged check fraud against their credit cards and social security numbers.  I keep very close watch on all credit card, social, and checking accounts----there are no unauthorized or suspicious entries on our statements---and none of us have outstanding debts that would be under collection. I re-checked our credit scores and credit reports, and I can account for all entries.  There are no negative entries on any of the 3 reports.  This is harrassment and phone spam.

This is a scam!! It has to be a fishing trip to secure your SS number, credit card number, checking account number, or any personal information that would allow them or some other party to hijack your personal information!!!-----do not respond to them, and call your cellphone carrier to complain and see if you can block them.  If you have a "do not call" registry on your phone number, call and complain about harrassment and "fishing" attempts by this company.

They Keep calling me and my ex husband they have been nothing but RUDE... i was told that i took out a loan wrote a bad check which is true. they called my ex and said that they sent out warrants for both of us as felonies.. I called a few days later and told me that they havent been sent out.. My ex talked to them this morning and said process severs will find out where we are.. These people are dumb and harassing..

A pre-recorded message starts up as soon as I pick up my receiver to answer the numerous phone calls I have been getting recently from 877-560-9763. The recording announces, "This call is coming to you from JDS Recovery. A check fraud case has been filed against your name and social".

I am then instructed to, "Press 1 for the next available agent". Naturally, I end the call by hanging up.

I find it very peculiar that the announcement does not suggest a specific name nor does the recording imply the slightest hint of my social. Which in most cases legitimate organizations I am acquainted with will , at least , refer to the last four digits of my social. But only if they feel the need to do so.

This JDS Recovery must not be aware they are attempting to contact , whomever , at an extension directly related to the Administrative Services Department on the Campus of a California State University and not a home land line.

I am pretty certain that If I am a suspect named in some kind check fraud case I would have our local Police Department knocking on my door instead of getting these annoying phone calls , at work , from this off the wall JDS Recovery claiming to be representing, who ever.

These goon-faced MFs called under the guise of a collection agency.  Soon there is going to have to be some serious penalties put in place to catch and prosecute people that do this because this is the 2ND
number I have had contact me under the guise of a collection agency.  And when a collection agency calls me and identifies their company by a names I don't recognize because I have received NO WRITTEN documentation in the mail from them (you have 30 days to refute a debt IF you receive something in writing from them so you at least no who the creditor is and what's it's about) I AM NOT CALLING THEM BACK!!!!.  Apparently it is easy for them to get away with this - scam unsuspecting people out of money.  There has to be some traceable evidence on these numbers that they can use to track down the indivduals and prosecute them.  They need to invest in a a full-time INVESTIGATION unit to capture these crooks because in the meantime they are interferring and disrupting people's lives not to mention bothering family members, etc.  It makes you wonder how they get away with this and who these people really are.

JDS Recovery left a message that they  have a check fraud claim against our name and social. Did not say who it was for. I write two checks a month.

Got the same call at my office from a Ms. Murphy she left messages for the COO of my company and one of my frients on their voicemail,  of couse I was called into HR, because the COO thought it was an official legal phone call.. I had to explain and told them that I have already contacted the State Attorney and I will be sending them another letter with these new tactics they are using.  I called this Ms. Murphy back and wripped her an A... Hole and I mentioned to her that was she was doing was so Illegal on so many levels.  Of course she had no documentation to send me.  Go figure!!!

These clowns called my Job and left messages for the COO of my copany, and another employee.  It's a good thing for me that I am friends with the other employee that they left these harrissing messages for....Of Course HR called me in their office, because the COO got the message on his voicemail and he thought it was a legal phone call.  I told HR about this company and that I have already notified the State Attorneys Office in my state...needless to say I was fuming, embarressed because they left this threating message about legal notices  filed against me...etc...etc...I called them back and wripped Ms. Murphy an A....Hole, I told her what she was doing call everyone in my company and leaving messages on their voicemail damm well knowing that those voices are not mine.   I told her what she is doing is so iillegale on so many levels and she knew it.  She proceed to say that she had every right...I told her she is out of her frigging mind and must be living on a different planet.  I asked her where is the documentation...of couse she could not send me any...go figure...I will be sending another letter to the State Attorney's office with this new company name and all the different phone numbers that they use.   Unreal!!!!

Today, at work a male called and used his best DEATH THREAT he said I wrote a bad check across the state lines and I don't even have a checking account or checks.  Then he said he is REPRESENTING:  JDS FRANKLIN RECOVERY: 1 877 560 9763 X306 no name but he is good at scaring people to trying to collect a debt.  

I hope someone calls his mother, sister or grandmother and mybe his daughter and tell them the same thing he told me and scare them like he did me at work.  I listened then thought I don't have a checking account and checks so then I thought he is a highly
trained and skilled DEBT COLLECTOR and he used death threats for his company he is represeting which is all legal to scare people and there is no law to stop them they can say anthing to anyone and no one to stop them.

Some idiot by the name of James Bronson called my job to say that they are sending uniformed process servers to my employment! Good luck!! Scammer and fraud!

They say they are going to process me as early as tomorrow afternoon with criminal charges make them stop if they will send me something in the mail giving me an address and who they represent I will pay the debt if its a valid debt that I owe!

When I called back a man answered.  I told him there was no one at this number by that name.  He asked if I knew Joseph...  duh, dude..... no one here by that name!  

He said he would remove the number from the system.  He did not ask for my number as he had it already.  

Nice enough, will see if it actually stops the calls.

rudest company ever!  I have had my number for 3 years, yet they keep calling for a woman I have never heard of.  This is AFTER I told them that they had the wrong number and AFTER they claimed they would quit calling.  My number is on the do not call list.  This is harassment.

It is a company called JDS, at least that's how the phone is answered by a recording....they called my cell phone, when they called they did not leave a voicemail, then when I called back, it said hold for next available agent, then it automatically hung up! I called back, same thing! 877-560-9763
