texted me to call them in response to a position I applied for. I did not call and will not because any legitimate employer would call.

I received this message as well, then the next day at 3am received multiple phone calls from various numbers with nobody on the other line - I had to turn off my phone because the calls just kept coming. Not sure if this is connected, but I figured I'd post it in case anyone else has the same issue.

I got the same message from a A/C 512 # and they ask me to call this 877#. I just reversed look up the US Tollfree Directory and this number comes up as INVALID! How crazy is that?!

Thanks to your site I did not waste my time with this spam scam. They are most likely identity thieves. I am sure it is from CarreerBuilder because I get a lot of email spam from them too advertising "jobs" that are really trade schools looking for students or call services who want to charge a monthly fee in exchange for supposedly finding acting jobs in Anaheim, Fullerton and Buena Park.

I've received 2 text messages from 424-832-0155 saying, "Hi John, I just reviewed your application for the Administrative position you applied for. Please call me at 877-563-9299". As some of the previous posters have stated, a real employer would simply call me and not text me like some psycho ex-gf. That's just so unprofessional. I do have a resume on Careerbuilder.com but have learned to remove my cell phone number from my resume because I think spammers are simply looking through resumes and calling or texting people. I also removed my home address just in case. I only have my email address and STILL I receive email messages from spammers saying they want to hire me but need my name, address, phone number, home number, etc. It's so much b***s*** that I'm sick and tired of using internet job sites but seeing as I'm currently unemployed it's an advantage to go to those sites.

I responded to an ad on craigslist and then received a text message to call an *877 #. I tried to call but no answer.. It must have been a spam.

Returned call and they stated that they were Employee Network, but was offended that I asked who she was representing to get that name. She stated that she was calling to complete an application that that would take up to 20-25 minutes. Tired of these spammers.

This is a scam I recieved a text as well telling me to call them at a 877 #. A legit employer would call you directly not text you.

I agree with Christy. I just got a txt asking me to call the 877 # as well. I think I'm going to call the # the txt came from

Third time this scammer has called me. I applied for a job through careerbuilder and this person has been texting me from a different number telling me to call this 877 number. How is that legit?! If a person was really wanting to hire you, wouldn't they just call?
