Call your local Republican.  You know, the guy up the street with all the signs in the yard -- call him several times/day at all hours of the night.  If you cant call someone directly related to the problem, work on the grass roots guys.  Get enough of them pissed, maybe something will change.

hire some pros. The Robo-call script is bad. Specifically, I recieved 20 calls in under 1 hour.

Robo Call from the McCain Campaign concerning "Obama's fight against our 2nd amendment rights"

877-565-0143 is a McCain pollworker/telemarketer.  Being from the other party, I always call it back and leave a piece of my mind.  Actually, I go on and on to use up their answering machine tape.  I am not of their party and I don't want their calls. Thank you. P.S. If they said they were from the AFL-.CIO they were lying.

I listened to the call, it was a political call for a state auditor in Ohio. I'm guessing it's whatever state you are from.

I actually listened to the call, and it was a political smear call critcizing Obama. So I assume it is the Republican party or McCain campaign. I suspect this is a national calling center people can employ, so YMMV. In any event after dropping what i was doing to answer the slugs, I've now decided to vote. It won't be for the person who annoyed me at supper.

Republican National com. It can be for various politicians within the party. I got a similar call from the democratic party as well. So to the person who said "thank God Democrats don't do these calls" maybe they haven't gotten you yet! They are all pulling out the stops. It doesn't affect my voting and it doesn't bother me. I guess if you don't want the calls, don't answer your phone!

I got many messages from this number. They all talked about Obama in very negative way. Also I got many negative flies (attacking Obama) almost everyday. What a campaign is this!

I am a independent voter. I swear in rest of my life, I never vote for Republican anymore!

10/28/08@ 6:46 PM just got a call from 877-565-0143, CNAM UNKOWN on caller ID, I called it back and it said "Thank you so much for calling If you would like to leave message please do so at the tone"  I said ' DON'T CALL MY HOUSE IF YOU CAN NOT BE HUMAN ENOUGH TO LEAVE A MESSAGE'

Just recieved this call about 15 min... ago said Hello like over and over agin and no one answered.

I keep getting calls from this number and several others from 8 am to 10 pm everyday!  They are all political campaign calls from BOTH parties.  It used to be one or two a day but for the last week has been more like 10 calls a day!  If people haven't decided who they are voting for by now do the political parties really think harassing them with phone calls will help them decide?

Shouldn't the DoNotCall list cover these numbers?  I have filed a complaint on every single one (from both parties and from the NRA and Planned Parenthood) to donotcall.gov.  I don't know if it will do anything but at least I can try.

I will be SO very glad when the election is over so that both sides will stop calling me!

11/03/2008 got another robo call about voting.  This time it was from Hank Williams Jr.  I cussed them out & hung up.  Who foots the bill on this nonsense, taxpayers or political contributors?  The government should investigate and invalidate any candidate who uses such tactics.

Just got the call promoting that Loser Obama raise my taxes my a**.....

This number showed up on my caller ID. No message was left. I called the number back and got a voice recording that said, "thank you for calling. If you would like to leave a message, please do so after the tone." This is very rude. It has caused much strife in our household. I want this to stop!!

I get these calls EVERY DAY, although not just from this number. Enough, already!

OK, here's the deal,


Go to SpoofCard.com and it will explain on a smaller scale how this is being done and why you can't call back the number that show's up on your caller ID.

IF you are getting these calls, especially if you are getting it every day or twice a day you must report this someone. I'm not sure who. The FCC, Police, FBI whoever. BUT make sure to tell them that the number that shows up on your caller ID is not the number they are calling from.

BUT BEFore you do that, next time they call get as much information out of them as you can about their company and what they are offering while giving away as little information about yourself as you can. Give them a false name. Ask who you are speaking to/what their name is. What the name of the company is, what their website is called. Ask if you can think about it and can you call them back on this number or a different number.  seem interested.

EVen better if you can record the conversation or at least put it on speaker phone so someone else will hear the conversation.

if you get a phone call where they ask for you by name (it may start out with some job application you filled out, that's how it did for me). here's the tricky part, when they ask for phone number verification...give them the number they dialed: your number (I mean, they already have it, don't they), then when they ask for you by name, simply say you don't know that person.  Make up some name to tell them.  ALL the while keep asking what company this is, what's the website, phone number, email address SOMething.  

THis happened to me because I believe I tried to apply for a job on craigslist.com (which i love dearly) and the email like that it had for the posting connected me to a webpage called employmentselect.com.  So, I don't think craigslist is dangerous, just beware if the email like takes you to a web page.

when I told the nasty women that I had no IDEa who "my real name" was, she said there must have been a mistake and that i wouldn't be called again.  I'll wait a few days and let you know if I get another call.


Put it all in your complaint.

If you all are as annoyed as you say you are and your bark really is as big as your bite, then complain complain complain BUT have something to back it up with.  "Caller refused to give me a name, company name, telephone number, email address, shoe size AND I have a witness/I have it recorded"

this is absolutely ridiculous and we must stop it.  Don't let these people invade our homes and our phones.

Hung-up when I answered the phone

Answered the phone and they asked for my husband by name.  Said they were with the AFLCIO and wanted to know who we were voting for.  I told them to take us off their list that we do not discuss our voting over the phone.

I dont like the fact that this number is harrassing me but i hope whoever is in charge of this company or number is reading this.... STOP CALLING ME! I AM NOT VOTING FOR MCCAIN NOR DO I WANT TO!!!!! TAKE ME OFF YOUR CALLING LIST NOW!!!!

Rec'd a call from this number twice today. Caller hung up when I answered second time. First time no message.

it's a McCain robocall, what a waste of money spent by the Republican Party. Thank God Democrats don't do Robo calls.
