I have read the comment and I have never had a payday loan or nor do I have any outstanding debt.  These people are burning up my phone and have no proof.  I asked to send me something anything that would help me shed some light on this issue and the refuse.  If they would do that I could clear up any issue.

Additionally, use caution when using websites such as these. Organizations such as FRS and Associates do frequent these sites and the do post pretending to be victims. I've been getting calls from this company telling me I owe on a debt I never even had. I've gone as far as digging into old bank statements and can't find a trace of it. So what they are doing is scamming people out of money because they have nothing else better to do. Not to mention their "supposed" court date doesn't exist. So to anyone who reads this beware of this company. File complaints to the FTC and the AG's office. You may want to complain to secretary of state to find out if they an active license to conduct business in your state. I ran a check on them in Texas, they don't have records either. So before you've sent money, validate the debt before you do anything.

You are exactly right...you nailed it. I'm sure that person works for some type of collection agency. He/she even types the way those people talk. What a jerk. A couple of months ago I started getting calls from the same number. When I finally was able to speak with a real person about what they calling about. The said it was for some type of student loan. I never had ANY student loan in college!

There was a lien/hold put on my bank account, so I called the bank and they gave me this number.  So ridiculous, this debt was from 5 years ago.  I called the Attorney General and they said that the statue of limitation in my state was 6 years.  What a joke !!! Now I have to pay all these late fees and attorney fees !!! BS

I just had a call from somebody named Christopher something with the same story.  He left a message on my voice mail telling me he was a process server with a courier service I have never heard of.  I have had similar things happen in the past with people from India.  They threaten all kinds of things, none of which can happen.  The last time one of the Indians called, I listened to him and when he told me I had been sued and I would get the court papers soon if I didn't pay the completely bogus debt, I said "Okay, I'll look for them."  When he kept threatening I just said "Okay, as soon as I get the court papers I'll take care of it."  He finally got frustrated and hung up.  Haven't heard from the Indians since.  The new people are obviously in the U.S.  Maybe because of the recent publicity about the fraudulent Indian thing.  From what I understand, sometimes these people buy these debts from payday loan places, etc.  They are usually old and uncollectible because of the statute of limitations.  Don't fall for this scam.

Linda,  you make no sense.  Your grammar is upsetting.   Unless of course you are 5.  In that case you should not be involved in a conversation re- bill collectors.

I had an experience a few days ago.   A lady named "Katie Scott"  left a message on my phone stating that I had some "identity theft" charges against me (or something like that)  and that it was URGENT that I return her call  or she would be forced to contact the police.    Immedietly after calling me,  she called my mom, saying the exact same thing.    A few hours later  I got a text from my 17 year old daughter, telling me that someone named "Katie Scott"  had called her work talking about identity theft!   Later that evening  I went on Facebook.   Only to have messages from several people  telling me that they recieved a call from Katie Scott asking questions about ME!  I was MORTIFIED.

I googled her name and phone number,  only to find out that it was a scam.  Much like what you guys are describing.    So the next day  she called me, I actually answered the phone.   I listened to her BS,  and pretended to be "convinced."    I asked her if I could mail a check.  Of course she said no.   I told her that it would take me a little while to get the money together.    She said that was ok,  but if I didn't have it to her within  a few hours (via pre-paid visa)   that she would have NO other choice than to turn me into the police,  who surely would arrest me.   I said  "oh NO, I dont want that to happen."  When my husband got home  I called her back,   I said  "Hi Katie,  this is Angela Herbert,  I have the money,  I just need to double check a few things.   Im at the Police Department,  surprisingly  they know NOTHING of these charges.  Im standing here with officer Miller,  he would like to ask you a few questions"    I handed her the phone,  she screamed something about me "harrassing her"   and hung up.      I have to say,  that felt good.    I wish I knew her real name and the company's real name, but of course   with all the laws they break  they would NEVER give that info.      But dont let these guys fool you.   They are just using scare tactics.

I just worked for this company. They call themselves FRS & Accociates! its stands for Federal Restitution services. They are just a collection agency. They have the employees leave messages pretending to be process servers saying they have sealed documents for court. Then when you call back in  they answer and pretend they are a type of law firm! they say things like let me see if one of the paralegas have a hard copy of your court documents, and when they come back they say that you have two pending charges. This is all a bunch of crap not to mention highly illegal. collection agencies have to follow the rules of the FDCPA.This agency does NOT!!!!! If you recieve a call from them the number will come up private then they will give you a # to call. I highly advise EVERYONE who gets a call from them to record it and call the attorney general! trust me i just worked there and quit because of they way they conduct themselves. I was disgusted by them and i myself am in the process of doing something about it.                                      -thanks for reading

I got a call from them a few days ago saying that the were going to serve me with papers the next day if I did not pay my debt right away. I told them I didn't know what the debt was about. I told them to serve me, that I would fight it in court, I have not heard from them since then. They are collections, and this is their new scare tactic they use to get people to pay a bill that you may not owe. Tell them that you will dispute it and they will leave me alone.

Solve this problem with a SILENT ring tone.
To do this use the record option on your phone. Record SILENCE for 1 second. Save the phone number that you want and assign the name "Do not answer". Assign the silent ring tone to this number.

After that when they call you will not be bothered because you will not hear a ring as it is silent.  The only way you know they called is when you look at your phone and see that you missed a call. When you see the missed call was from "Do not answer" you can just laugh.

Got 4 calls from this number today and never knew it because I have the number as a Silent ring tone.

Does not block the call but otherwise solves the problem.

First of all, I do not work for the company. Second of all, I fell into some jams a long time ago and have used several payday loans in teh past and most were paid the right way. One time when I used a payday loan, my bank account was subject to fraud. I had to close the account and start all over with a new account. Millions of things were being taken directly out of my account for bills, student loans, etc. Unfortunately my payday loan at the time was forgotten and I never gave them my new acct number. Eventually this loan became delinquent and I started to receive letters about it. Well there were many things that had happened in my life that I would nto care to share, but put a huge financial hardship on me. Eventually my payday loan caught up to me and here I was owing for an old debt. This place was VERY professional and any paperwork i wanted they sent me. All paperwork has contact info addresses and now that my loan is all paid a message of receipt. It has been a little while now since my debt has been paid to these guys and nothing has happened. So those of you who are getting calls for someone who doesn't live with you, just tell them. These are not the scammers who call you and threaten you with arrests. I have had those and they still call for god knows what reason. But the bottom line is, you don't pay your payday loans, and they will come back and bite ya. I have sent in the information to the credit bureaus and they have informed me of my paid debt and my credit score will go up a bit.

Until then, please be careful who you give your info to, because it is scary what people can find out about you or already know about you. No more payday loans for me =)

I was called by the courier also today - asked him what it was in reference to & he said could only give me the phone # of the claimant, which was 866-668-8290.  I called the number and spoke with a Danielle Pierce, she said I had to make a payment with a debit card today or they would service me with court papers, so I have gave her my debit card to charge $50 but my debit card would not go thru because with the bank I bank with I can't use it on the internet or over the phone, go thing I guess - Danielle proceeded to tell me that she would put a 24 hour hold on the delivery of the court papers and told me to purchase a reloadable pre paid credit card and call her back by tomorrow morning or they would proceed with serving the court papers
