I got a call from them just now, the caller ID listed "HOTEL ROOM" before it became "UNKNOWN." It's a SCAM!

I recently bundled my cable to reduce cost. The process gave me a cable phone number, but I don't even have a hand set for it and probably never will. But the cable phone line lets me hear stored messages on line. And so, on as I was connected, this number started appearing in messages, but the incoming call identification was (res)tri-cted.

I have no debt, only one open credit card account, and they claim to be calling about an account that doesn't exist.....has never existed. I even pulled a copy of my credit report to verify that I had never had any kind of account with Barclay's Bank, credit or otherwise.

This one is a pure scam, ppl. They aren't a collection agency, and they aren't  customer service for anyone but themselves.

I keep receiving calls for three [James, Ramon, Lamont]different people all with the same last name.  They left a voice mail and I returned their call.  They told me that they are a collection agency for Barclays bank; a UK bank. When I told them that I had my number for ten years and that there are no by that name lived at my address they told me that they would add my number to the bad number list.  I also told them that I am tired of receiving calls for the Adams and was going to complain to the FCC if I had to in order to stop the calls.

Now I'm waiting for another call.

first of all never give out your information to these numbers. you never know if they are who they say they are. you are better off, calling your credit card. i owe money on my card, and they want me to set up a payment plan with "them". this sounds kind of fishy. be safe. dont give out any info to these numbers.

Calls all day, every day. shows up on caller id as "unknown" but leaves this number 877-570-2600 and claims she is from Barclays Bank PLC (registered in England; registered No: 1026167). I highly doubt she is from any legitimate banking institution because I'm on the government's Do Not Call list and she is breaking the law. Of course I reported the little bi*** and hope my calls helps her join the ranks of the homeless where she so richly belongs.

Someone named Sharon called my home and asked for a james botske.  No one lives here by that name and the phone number they left was 877-570-2600 x5665.  Not even going to call them back.

I started getting calls from Barclay's two weeks ago.  This company keeps calling my cell phone asking for "Robin". When I answered, I told the rep. on 7/15/10 to stop calling and remove my name from their list because no one is here by that name. Then I got 2 calls the next day from them requesting to speak to "Robin". I asked the customer rep, "Savannah Lee".  Her manager, "Reggie Noble" gave me the "877", then promptly disconnected the call.

This is Juniper Card Svc which is owned by HSBC.

He called twice super early in the morning and really late at night. Mumbled something jumbled up their words only enunciating their phone number and extension. I thought the poor woman had a thick accent, but I find out that they do that intentionally so that people who are curious about the message will call them back. I did call them, and they had the wrong number, but she did ask for my phone number. Now, I am afraid I have been place on some sort of list and will be getting more of these stupid calls.
I really hate these people!!!!

They're a collection agency. Got a call from them twice. They left a message both times. Called them back the 2nd time. They asked if I was a certain individual (same first and last name, different middle name). Didn't want any info except my name. I told them the middle name didn't match. That was it. I wasn't the person they were looking for.  They took me off of their list. We'll see if they call back. Collection agencies may be looking for you or a person with a similar name. They're not telemarketers, They're just trying to find someone.

This is a valid number.

Received a call from Rick.  He said he was from Juniper Visa and wanted to make arrangements for my past due payments.  Was not sure if it was a scam as he wanted my backing information, so I called the number from my Juniper statement and was able to call him back using the credit card statements contact number.  In short 877 570 2600 is a valid number for Juniper Visa (Barclay Bank)  collection department

got a call from barclays- juniper about my frequent flyer miles w/ some halfed a---- airline. called them back and they wouldnt talk to me unless i gave them my soc sec#, card #, dob, mothers maiden name, present zip code, and something else i didnt understand, since this person was born with three tounges and reveling over their power position for min wage. presently filing complaints with the ftc, the state attn general,and telling my brother( high positin w/ regional newspaper) who is very interested in story

Called and left a message with my mother on a Sunday morning she said they'd be there all day and to call Kyle at 877-570-2600 extension 5223.  Never heard of them, don't have an account with them and haven't lived at that number for over 20 years.

Received a call from this number, left a hard to understand message but when I figured it out is was for someone I never even heard of.  Thought of calling them back to tell them, but after hearing about this I'm not going to risk getting false calls in my name.

These people have called my number every day, anywhere between 15 and 40 times a day, for about 4 weeks looking for people I've never heard of. I've spoken to 12 CSRs from all over the world and 4 supervisors, all of whom promised to take my # off the list. Today I spoke with a CSR from the States and promised her that my next step after this is legal action for harassment. We'll see if it works: it would be worth it at this point to pay the legal fees.

Keeps calling asking for a person I never heard of, saying
they want to talk about a Air Trans Account, have tried to
return call to ask them to stop but cannot get through.
They say they are Barclay's Bank. I looked them up and they
are a collection agency. They won't stop calling and leaving

attorney or the police department to have them stop calling

Continuos to calls to my ome phone and family members.
When you call the number either no one answers or you go on hold.

They called looking for my sister who must have a debt with them, She must've give my name as a reference or something because we have different last names, they wanted me to give her a message to call an extension, I am sure she owes it but why do they start calling family members?? Its awful.

Collection agency for Barclay's Bank and Juniper credit cards looking for someone else who had the same last name as me. I told them they had the wrong number, and they promised to take me off their list.

Called and wanted to help us with a payment plan for a card. Said his name was Randy and to call him back at ext 5179.

Received a call looking for a relative.  I have no idea what it was in reference to and don't think that this relative has given our number out as a reference.

Barclays Bank is in the UK.

I just received a call from Wanda Waters from Customer Support wanting me to call her back at 877-570-2600x5266.  I called this number and asked what the company name was, and the lady said they do customer support for Barclays Bank.  I've never heard of this bank.  When I listened to the message, I was so surprise Wanda pronounced my name correctly, so I got curious and called back and asked to be transferred the the extension.  Wanda answered, and I told her my name and that she called me, and I asked what it was about.  She then told me to tell her my phone number where she called so she can look me up.  I told her your the one that called, so you should know it, but she asked again, so I told her never mind.

Received 2 messages from 877-570-2600 looking for my ex-husbands wife, who I haven't been in touch with in 20 years and who doesn't even live in the same state, much less my house! Requesting to contact "customer service" x5237 (Sara Jones) or x5220 (Julie Martin) concerning her Juniper/Barclay's Mastercard account. I called and told them this wasn't the correct number, they said they would take it off the "list". I asked if they were collections, but they said no. It's crazy what they do to get to these folks.

Someone supposedly named "Regina James" from "customer support" called and left this number for someone who attends the local mental health day treatment center here.  These poor people don't realize they shouldn't buy their meds and food on credit cards.

I received a call from 1-877-570-2600 and the caller asked to speak to a relative of mine. The relative has never lived at this address or phone number and I am not a co-signer. The caller gave his name as Duane Carter at extension 5247 and said the call was in relation to "Customer Service" on a Juniper account. (Juniper is the name under which Barclays Bank Delaware issues numerous MasterCard and Visa credit cards in the USA).
The relative no longer lives in the USA and cannot contact them using the 877 number. I was able to get a non-toll free number 516-390-6377 as a direct number to a manager's office. The 516 number is unlisted located in Hicksville, NY (Long Island). Barclays Bank Juniper Customer Service phone is listed on their web site as 1-877-523-0478.
