Claimed to be representing AT & T and wanted to upgrade our wiring and how it would help our high speed Internet. Told him that was interesting since AT & T does not offer high speed Internet to this building only Wi-Fi. He hung up. Anyone who posts this was a great deal and saved them money is one of these liars.

Calling every hour (3 time this morning).. I just do not answer, they don't leave a message / then, it's not important.  I looked up the number here and found what I needed to know, that I did the right thing.  Thanks to you all.

This is a scam caller, and the proof is in the pudding as the saying goes...

Treat these calls for what they are - scams!! I got 2 calls from this number today - not recognizing the number on the Caller ID display, I didn't answer...

If it was a ~legitimate~ call from AT&T - the caller ID would likely display the AT&T name in some form - but in the (2) calls I received it just said TOLL FREE CALLER...

And if you do get a live person under no circumstances give them any personal (or company) information whatsoever - for if they're legitimate they would already know at least the basics about you or your company...

Sounds like they're on a fishing expedition...

This is a scam. I had already switched to U-Verse, and these people keep calling representing themselves as AT&T after I made the switch through AT&T.

One other thing you need to know. AT&T made the same sales pitch to me about the speed of fiber optic vs. DSL internet. What they didn't tell me is that we don't have fiber optic main lines in our part of town. When the installer came out to make the switch to U-Verse (an AT&T installer) he told me that they are getting a lot of people to switch and that they have trouble with the U-Verse because they're trying to use it through the regular copper wiring. Then, when they have trouble, AT&T won't switch you back to DSL. By the way, we get separate bills, one from AT&T and the other from U-Verse. That was never the case before; we got phone, internet, and DISH on the same bill through AT&T. I suspect that AT&T hires this company to sell the U-Verse even though they claim they don't. If that's the case, they're not lying when they say they don't contact people because they don't actually do the calling.

Calls everyday trying to switch me to U-Verse, claiming to be AT&T. AT&T however says they are not associated with them, plus I was already switched over back in August 2013. Told them not to call again and will report them to Mo. Attorney General and FTC with another call.

Too busy to answere unwanted and random calls and texts.  Unless you have a good reason for calling or texting . Please do not. Any unknown or restricted numbers will not be answered and no one will care.

This is a new approach from Americom. They claim to be Broadview and they want to lower my rates. I've been a Broadview customer for 4 years.
Americom is a sleazy company. Don't even consider doing business with them. They LIE!!!!!

They called three times today and I ignored it every time, but I do constantly get calls from people asking to speak to the person at my office who handles the phone contract.  I just tell them I don't know who that would be (which is a blatant lie) and ask them to stop calling.  They haven't stopped.

Received a message yesterday November 4  at 4:01 pm from Ray Benton who stated he was with AT&T (IF THEY ARE NOT DIRECTLY AN AGENT OF AT&T THEN STATING HE IS - IS FRAUD) and that our internet lines needed to be upgraded from copper to the new modern uverse and that they would like to install at our convenience and that he has an offer that would benefit us. The number he called from 877-570-3070 x 2117.
And today November 5 at 9:26 we received another call. Ray called back and asked for the manager or person in charge of the phone line, I stated that he was not in the office, then he asked if he could have his name. I asked if you work with AT&T don't you have his name - he replied that he was looking at our records but did not have personal data. I state you can call back and speak directly with him if you like and hung up. This is spam. I have called AT&T several times and specifically asked if they call their customers and they said no. They DO NOT TRY AND CALL YOU, NOR DOES ANY UTILITY COMPANY - ESPECIALLY WITH CLAIMS OF SAVING YOU MONEY!

Received a Voice Message from Robin calling about our Verizon Account.  Asked us to call back 866-824-1770, Ext. #324.  Both phone numbers are already on our DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL BACK NUMBER SHEETS (now totaling over 600 numbers in numerical order).

Telemarketers can be so annoying ! ! !  I'm thankful for Caller ID, a special extension set up for telemarketer calls and comments from others on sites like this.

Jerks called and said they were calling on "behalf" of Verizon (clue #1).  Then I asked what they were calling about and they said they needed to talk to whoever was responsible for our telephones (clue #2).  Two strikes and you're out!

Americom - AT&T - sat through a recording 4-5 times before a live person answered. requested our office number removed from the calling list; according to him it is "unintentional" for them to hang up on me....

Knew the name of the telephone company we currently use....said, my I speak to the women that handles you ????? phone account.  When I asked her what the call was about, she just asked if I was the person who handled the account, I repeated .. what are you calling about...and she hung up.  Reporting NOW to do not call registry!

Jerry called said he was from ATT, faxed over a contract, I figured he was not from ATT directly, wanted to check on his credentials with ATT, he got frustrated because I would not listen to him and admitted he was not from ATT.  I realize they have third party contractors,but Jerry you are ans A-hole.

Guy calls my cell, says he is from ATT, that he sent me and email months ago and I didn't respond, and that he is trying to schedule an appointment to switch my lines "from copper to fiberoptic..." and needed some information...then phone went dead. He probably figured I was about to burst laughing before going off on a tirade.

Nice try scammer, I'm on to you.....

I answered the call and found them to be direct agents of AT&T. Also they saved me $150 on my phone bill and gave me free internet. I'm thankful

Got a call and didn't answer it, but did set it in my iphone so I don't have to answer it in the future. JOKE. Just go a call from A***ole Fax from Canada while typing this. Good luck SUCKERS!!
