I'm also a victim of this fraud there was a purchase of 427GBP on my card on the same vendor 'Eurostar Internet London' while im in India.

When i checked
http://www.seat61.com/Spain.htm#.UKExl4dwe9w
website had a mentioning of a ticket that would cost 427GBP.  Dont know who these people are and where are they traveling right from 2009.

Contact your bank who will stop your card and try to investigate your claim. They will usually refund you and charge the Merchant.

this has just happened to me as well, in fact 4 days ago where my Debit Card has been charged £164. No idea how they got my card details but they also changed my password with Verified By Visa as well. They knew my date of birth to do that!

It was a legitimate call. Although after reading some of the entries here, I was concerned and did not call the number they left in the voicemail. Instead, I called the direct number at the back of my card and then talked to the Chase Rep who confirmed the call and talked to me about some of the transactions I made last night..So, everything was ok..

But the point is that the message was real. Just don't call the number they leave, instead call the number (at the back of your card) for customer service directy..

Hope it helps

I was skeptical about this number at first too, but I called Chase directly and there were suspicious charges and the card needed canceled. Over that number, you can choose not to use the card number

It's legit.  Being cautious, I called the # on the back of my Chase debit card.  They transferred me to their debit card fraud prevention center.  They confirmed that a company called "Eurostar Internet" in the UK was trying to charge $302 to my debit card.

They cancelled the card and are issued me a new one.  I'm very impressed that Chase caught this.

I received a call today from this number. It was Chase Credit Card Fraud call center in Ohio where Chase accounts are monitored for unusual activity.  Someone outside of the US was trying to use my debit card and chase caught it right away. Kudos to Chase for being on top of these credit card scammers.

I just got a call form that number, and instead called the number on the back of my card, and sure enough, someone obtained my card number and went on a shopping spree.

I called the number on the back of the card and they said good thinking, but it was real and it was a purchase I made that wasn't normal. I am glad they did it!

This is legit.  Someone from the UK tried to charge over $2500 on my debit card.  Glad they called.  They did not even ask for my debit card number, just what state i lived in which i thought was weird.

I received a call from this number. The caller did not leave his name in the message but to call back and have my debit card number handy. Seems fishy to me...even if it really is Chase, they should have a better way to contact you regarding possible fraud. There is no way I would give them my number over the phone like that. It's better to Just go to your local branch and speak with someone.

I called this number just to see what kind of response I would get. It is an automated phone tree. The first thing they asked was that I type in my debit card account number followed by the # sign. Even though they identify themselves as Chase debit fraud, it seemed odd that they would have me type something as important as my account number over an unsecure phone line.
Therefore, I assume that this could be a ruse to get my debit card number.

I called the number on my Chase card and asked them if this number was theirs.  The rep said it was and then transfered me to that department.  After answering a couple of questions, the lady asked me about specific purchases, so I felt comfortable that it was legit.

THIS IS FRAUD.  DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE ON HERE...NOT EVEN ME.  CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD AND ASK IF THAT NUMBER BELONGS TO THEM.  THEY WILL TELL YOU NO.  I DID THIS LAST NIGHT AND THEY ARE IN THE PROCESS OF TRACKING THESE FRAUDS DOWN AND THEY WILL NAIL THEIR SORRY @#$@#$@3 TO THE WALL.  ANYONE ON HERE CLAIMING IT IS LEGIT IS WORKING FOR THE CRIMINALS TRYING TO SCAM YOU.

Call came through to my cell phone, although it was my fiance's account. Not sure why (our phone numbers are off by 1 digit from each other, so could have been an error). He checked his account, several $300+ charges are pending on his account. He called the chase direct number from the website. I did not call the number back that called me. Safer to just call chase with the number they provide on their public website.

Got a call today from this 877 number which was an automated system stating that there was fraudulent activity on my account. When the automated system started asking for my personal info, I immediately hung up and called an official Chase representative. He stated clearly that CHASE DOES NOT CALL FROM ANY 877 NUMBERS, EVER. IT IS FRAUD. When you get a call from this number, HANG UP IMMEDIATELY and DO NOT put in any personal information!!

THAT NUMBER DOES NOT BELONG TO CHASE.  I received a call today from that number, when I answered, the automated voice called out the last 4 digits of my debit card number and then asked me to enter my 3 digit security number at the back of my card.  Come on people!! That piece of information (if the scammer already has your debit card number and address) is the last piece of information any scammer needs to complete an online transaction.  IT IS A SCAM!  I do not care who all those people are posting on here claiming that the number is authentic.  All those people work for the scammers.  Needless to say, I looked up online for the number first and then I called Chase (THE NUMBER AT THE BACK OF MY DEBIT CARD) who confirmed that no one had called me.  She said that if suspicious activity was noted on my account, they would put a hold on my account first.

And besides, someone on here posted a link with the number listed on a credit report site. So clearly, it is a SCAM!

Lessons learned today:
Do NOT TRUST everybody that reviews stuff on the internet because they can and will give you misleading information especially if he/she will be benefiting from the scam.

If anyone ever calls you to verify any information about your credit/debit card and any purchases you may have made, do not give out any information.  Instead, hang up the phone and YOU call your credit/debit card company. directly.

Strange, all the posts about this being legit...The coments even go back a year. One of therm even says this wass a "New system"....last year. But when I talked to the fraud department today they told me that is was not their number....Proceed at your own risk, but I have alerts set up and I check on-line daily. Simply calling them confirmed it wasn't them.

I received this call today. Rather than calling the number right away I called my wife, who works for Chase, and found this to be a legit number. Someone tried to complete a transaction for an online drug store (Kenkoudo) for the amount of $235.35.

I rarely use my debit card for online transactions but somehow someone got access to my card this way and tried to purchase pharmacy items. When I do use my card online I always make sure it's a secure transaction.

Chase did a great job in blocking this transaction.
