Received a message on cell phone from Mrs. Slager lead para-legal claiming to be from Rubin and Yates.
claiming that a "matter" had arrived at her desk this morning. Using telephone number 855-276-3103 ext. 116.

Michael Rentoul just tried his scam on me.  It is a phishing scam, he tried to get me to pay an amount by credit card so that fees wouldn't be applied to an amount he said my son owes by 7:30 tonight.  How did he even know my name!  Anyway, I told him I would provide no information over the phone. He said it was a debt my son owed from 2008 and that if I was a good parent I would help him out.  he said he was from the office of Ruben and Yates!  This is scary.  How do they think of these things.  He said my son owed Chase money and they were going to sue him.  I said, he never had a chase card.  He said well we have his signature and we are sure it is him.

my mother recieved a call 2/6/2012 from rubin & yates. They were looking for my son who hasn't lived @ that address since 1997. He threatened to have the police sent to the house looking for him and he had 24 hrs. to prevent this action to take place. He wanted his lawyer or POA to contact them. He said my son was a fugitive  on fraud charges. And asked me how well do I know him. He called my mother a liar and said his SS# was listed to that address. They said this fraud happened in 2009 and that the law has caught up with him. WTF.

They call my phone every day and leave a message saying they are Ruben and Yates and its in reference to a case number they leave. It also so to speak to a Mr. Hummle

i think these people at ruben and yates are full of ---- if  they have the goods on you than let them do what they say than can do but they are full of s--- you can't take pants off a bare a**.....

I was just contacted by this office claiming again they are leaving me a message. Never had a previous message. When I called the office, the 2.00 an hour unprofessional secretary wouldn't tell me where their office is located let alone say much of anything just if I wanted to leave a message. she was also very nasty on the phone. I left Mr. so called David Michael Anthony a message on his voicemail. Surprisingly he wasn't in......I will contact the Attorney Generals Office.

Total scam. Told me I had a complaint against me and my ssn# and I needed to call in order to be served.  I called them back and it was in regards to a credit card that has been payed off for 6 years.  They were rude and demanded I pay them even though I had proof the card was paid off long ago.  They are not a real lawfirm and are total crooks.  Do not deal with them.  They somehow got my cell phone number and repeatedly harassed me.  I am seriously considering filing a lawsuit against them.  Total crooks!

This bozo Ms. Denali called for my mom, left this number and ext 123, and case number 136073, saying something about its urgent about an account with HSBC-HFC which panicked me because my mom took a loan against my house.  Come to read all this crap here, I'm going to call this witch and ask her how she got this number in the first place.  Jerk offs.

Received a phone call from Rubin regarding a Joy Rodriguez and a case number on my answering machine.  Have not a clue what it is about.  Glad I researched and found it was a scam.  Will not call back.

some lady clled my brother yesterday, I cant believe they called my brother in Utah. I dont even live anywhere close to him.  I havent spoke to him in years. My brother called my mother told her to relay a message to me. I called them and they stated it was about a mastercard I took out 2 years ago from household. I told the woman I couldnt pay anything right now becuase im not working. She was very nice and explained that the it needed to be resolved. I told her my husband is working and we may be able to work out very small payments. She told me to call back after I spoke with him. I hate owing money but at least they will work with me.

"A" have you ever even worked for a collection agency? Or a bank. They are different. Even within one company they are completely seperate dept.
Ruben and Yates are not a scam. I feel all collection agencys should follow the fair debt collections act. Some collection agents are rude. If you owe a debt pay it. you never know when you might need to borow again.

Just got a call from Rueben Marshall. He was very nice. It was about my Hsbc mastercard. We worked out a payment plan that I could afford with my social security check. I read a bunch things on the internet saying they will scam me. I asked for a letter to be faxed to me, and I receieved it right away. I set up the payments though my checking account for 50 a month. I didnt know who to call to try to get this debt paid, Im glad they found me I really wanted to pay it, just couldnt afford the payments that the bank was asking for.

Yeah. Thanks for all the great info on this place. Everyone on this website is the sham. I believed what you were saying and now I actually recieved a summons for court next month. I cant believe this. Everyone thinks they know everything, when in fact you know nothing. This website is a joke. I just called them and they say they will not work out an agreement before court because I was rude to them when I called the first time. I am so upset that they are actually pursuing this debt. I thought they were just trying to scam me. This sucks.

This company is a total sham! Do not confirm any information with them or give them any personal information. They also collect information from people that you know. They are liars and very tricky at what they do. They were attempting to collect a debt that I went bankrupt on over 10 years ago. Please be aware and protect your privacy. Their correspondence was almost comical.

They called me twice now looking for my mother for some so-called debt. I have asked them twice to remove me from the file and they wont do so. They refuse to give any info about who they are and what they want and even when you call them they do not answer the phone with a company name - only with a "hello". I had to continually ask who I was calling and barely got info on the company. They are fruad - filed a formal complaint with my attorney general and everyone else should do the same!

Rubin & Yates is a criminal organization with no legitimate  address or corporate identity.  They have been sued 4 times for similar behavior but nobody has been able to successfully serve them, let alone obtain any money from them.  They are hiding out under the radar for now.   Call your local Attorney General, the FTC and the NY Attorney General and tell them to put a stop to these criminals.

For the last few days I have received phone call stating that a complaint had been filed against me and my social. I called the number back and got an answering services for Ruben and Yates Atty. After research, this is a SCAM and do not comply with these people. I will follow up more later when they call again....as I am sure they will.

their in new york... i'm in cali... she said i had a law suit for breach of contract over a 9/10 year old credit card... and that we can meet one one to lower it?????? she got mad cuz i couldn't pay by the 30th and only wanted money gram or credit card.... i said money order she said no....

Just a follow up to my above post. I had some time to kill so I stopped by the county courthouse on 8/10/2010. The "complaint number" provided by Gary King from 877-573-2104 (his direct line came thru as 716-650-2640) is NOT a valid complaint/case file number with the county, despite Mr. King's allegation. The county clerk's office has no cases filed against the individual Mr. King was looking for. This would indeed appear to be a scam caller, trying to intimidate the person who had my phone number before me into paying up or giving out a cc number or something.

They called and left a message about working on a lawsuit case.  Left a name of Dan Hollinger.

YOu call and I return your call and you keep me holding for 30 minutes.
