Jessie Daniels is a telemarketer (a poor one at that) with a Minneapolis/St. Paul outfit called Strategic Fundraising. For awhile he was calling from their Ogden, Utah office. When third-party telemarketers calling on behalf of charities and political parties violate one's request to stop calling, they can be fined up to $16,000. You just have to  report Jessie and his cmpany to the FTC. The company can be found in an internet search.

I called to cancel an account, they only asked for general info: phone, address, name.... Thats all information that I can find on anyone by google.

THEY TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY CHECKING ACCOUNT WITH OUT ME GIVING THEM ANY KIND OF INFORMATION ABOUT MY ACCOUNT !!

Today I just canceled it, I don't see why I should pay it monthly when there are free anti-virus.  I called the number 1-877-573-5668, press 1, a representative answered, they asked for phone #, name, address, city state and zip, after they asked what they could help me with I asked them to cancel my membership, I wasn't trying to hear what it offered, Just cancel.  But it keep in mind to cancel within the 30 day period.

i just got a call from "wells fargo"on my caller id  #714-551-9794 .I called the number on back of my credit card and the true wells fargo said they have nothing to do with this E DEFENSE

This is a scam. I received the same call 877-573-5668  from the guy who said he was from Wells Farge about a month ago and tried to sell me Edefense for $1 for the first month and $15/month after. I looked at my WF account today and it showed $1 was charged by Edefense w/o my permission. Edefense might have my account#. I will call WF to complaint about this.

Yes I received the same call around 8:30 PM and 9:00PM two nights in a row.  Wells Fargo said they dont make calls late at night. I also had an account with Wachovia. I think it is fraud and I didn't give them any information.  the number was 1-877-573-5668 and it was Jess Daniels.  Called the number during the day time and it is E Defense (which also has companies in Japan)...told them to NOT call my home anymore and they put me on an OPT out list.  We'll see.

805-309-9602  Caller ID = E Wells

Received my second call at 7:15pm EDT 9/19/11 to my unlisted residence. Also, a human being, identified himself as Jessie Daniels from Wells Fargo. I asked for a call back number and the voice repeated you may call us back at 1-800, you may call us back at 1-800. I hung up.

Noteworthy to mention is that I received a similar call like this @3 weeks ago, did not get a name nor did I record the complete number, however, it was from 805 area code. I immediately called Wells Fargo customer service. They said there is no company authorized by them to call customers at home and that it was most probably an attempt at identity fraud in some way. BEWARE of giving any information to anyone. I have credit and identity monitoring, so I am not worried.

Also noteworthy to mention is that I was a Wachovia customer before Wells Fargo took them over, and I never received any suspicious or annoying calls before that occurred. I wonder if any other receiving these calls share this commonality.

Just got the same call from 805-309-9602

This number called me at 7:30pm on 08/16/2011. A live representative was talking to me and offered a package called "E-Defense" and that he was representing Wells Fargo (he said banks hire them to contact us for internet protection programs). He blurted out all the information very quickly like a robot and after he finished talking he asked me if I wanted to buy the package for $1 for the first month and if I like it, I can keep it for a monthly fee of $15 I think it was. Then I told him that I would like to think about this and call back if I would want the program. He then blurted out a phone number without even asking me if I had a pen and paper ready for it, then he hung up. but duh, I had a pen and paper on me so I wrote the number: 1-877-573-5668... After this I went on the internet and saw a few comments on the same thing but from a different number. very odd.
