I also, received a call from that phone number yesterday morning. He said he was from a Law office and was collecting some money I owed from Walmart. I told him he had the wrong person. But, I made the mistake of giving him my address, BD, and the last 4 digits of my social. He looked up some the info. and said that his supervisor would have to get back to me. So, in the afternoon I called them again and he said "With the information you have given me we made a mistake we obviously have the wrong person. So, the next day I called Transunion Credit Management to give them a heads up about someone trying to scam me.

Just talked to James, 5/18/2011, 12:45 PST. He did say his name was James but also specified that he is not an attorney but a bill collector. He requested the last 4 of my SSN before he would even reveal the name of the company he was supposedly trying to collect for. Did not give it to him and he said he could not tell me anything else without that info. Seems weird...

Asked for me by name, I was not in, asked me to return the call to a Law Office and ask for James.  Returned the call,  they answered Law Office, I asked what was this was in regard too, he said I would have to give them the last four of my social for security, I refused three times to give them my social and he said he could not help me with any information and hung up. Not sure what kind of scam it is, but does not seem right to me. I checked on the phone number and it does not belong to a Law Office.
