It's a SCAM - PEOPLE PLEASE BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

got a text from this number saying sms.alert@visa.com /VISA. (CARD BLOCKED for more information please call 1-877-581-9021

I just recived the same text but on phone# 800-882-7043.

This is a scam.  They want your credit card number so they can activate it. Of course I don't have any credit cards.

my husband, daughter and i recieved this text alert i reported it to t mobile and was told right away it was a scam  beware i then called the number and put in a card number and right away they wanted a pin # no way should anybody respond to this !!!!!!

I received a text message from this number over the weekend. Unable to reach anyone, number just beeps after ringing once...funny thing is I don't have  a visa card to block...WTF!

I checked my childrens cell phones they all recieved the same message all within 5 min of mine last night. If this is from the middle east theis could be a coordinated attack by terrorist against us citizens. I'm thinking of reporting this to FBI. I think the rest of us should do likewise.

I recieved the same message at the same time everyone else did. Obviously they choose a weekend to commit this crime since many cant check with there banks. There is a legit sms alert visa service but you have to sign up for it, which of course i never did. This appears to be coming from overseas not in usa. Apparently Labanease. So it may not be tracable in the usa. These scammers are professional, they change the phone numbers and try to erase there tracks. I hope someone can catch them.

I got the same message. Checked with my bank and nothing was wrong. Scammers who do this sort of stuff piss me off. Preying on people is not nice. So you know how it feels I am going to search for who sent me this e-mail. I am back tracking your message and phone number now. When I find out who these pieces of crap are I am going to trace info back to where they live and, well you"ll find out.

Same here, I got that exact txt message on my cell phone. Should I delete it or forward it to the banks fraud department?

Actually my number is 1*800*521*9021-In any event no sure how they are doing it.

Hi Folks-This is my 800 Number and I have recived about 100 calls today from people who say they have recived a text message regarding the now blocked credit card. Someone has taken my number and I can not get a hold of the provider until Monday to cancel the number-Not sure how the texters are doing it, but do not leave any info. They have no hacked into the voice mail, but for some reason they say to leave a message. No one has as of yet. I changed the greeting to alert people. Rat bastard hackers!

The same jjust happened to me... It definitely has to be a scam b/c none of my cards have restrictions on them

Same deal, tried entering a bogus # to get someone on the line, no luck. No option to speak with an operator.

Received the same sms message. The ONLY Visa card I own is thru my bank. I immediately called them and they confirmed my card was NOT blocked. Guard your info, people!

We too just received a sms message from 800 581-9021. We have a friend who received the same, and checked with his bank.  SCAM!!  Don't call them back.

Does anyone have a Lowe's Card?  Just activiated it today and now received this mssg?

Yeah me too , it says I have to call back to that # regarding my ( CHASE ) debit card ...... even though I don't have an account with Chase !
they said about the card that start with 511182 !..... do you know how many card out there start with such a  # ??
if anything they should gave me the last 4 #s , right??  I guess the scammer is not so bright after all.

I am a T-mobile tech care representative, I am escalating this issue to my engineering support teams to see if we can get this thing shut down.  does anybody have the code this message is coming from?  should be a 4-6 digit number, please text 7193046884 (T-mobile test phone).  I will try to keep everybody posted on what happens, than you all so much

Yeah got this text yester too...t-mobile as well.  Little weird we are all in the Coastal SC area

Got the same text yesterday.  I am also a T-Mobile customer.
