We have received about 6 calls from this number. Always a recording saying they are from Victoria BC Canada.

We also got another call from a real someone asking for the male of the house with the same initial as my husband.
I think these people are phone fishing for someone with the same last name and initials who owes money somewhere.
I wish they'd leave us alone!!!

I've been getting calls from them for months, I just ignore them now. Pisses me off as I am now ignoring all Long Distance calls (phone rings double ring). ARO Inc. I hit 3, 3, 7 so fast now in voice mail I don't even know what they say anymore.

i got a call from them once, and made the mistake of answering. they rambled off a bunch of stuff about owing money for some credit card and then asked me to verify my name and address and other personal information. when i refused and asked for details about what they were calling about including the callers name, name, address and telephone number of where they were calling from and how they had got my information to verify in the first place, they hung up on me. so i just block any numbers that they call from.

These guys buy debt that is beyond limitation periods (see the limitation act for your province, here in BC it is two years) for next to nothing and then try to get people to pay.  Total scam.  They will never call with a real person on the line--only a machine inviting you to call them.  Don't.  They do not have legitimate and lawful claims against most people they harass with these calls and if you give in to their bullying, you will only waste your money.  Just put the number on ignore.  Any communication you have with them will only hurt you.

Obvious you work for the scammers. They call all the time for the person that had the phone number prior to me. Isn't there a statute of limitations limiting the time in which a debt can be collected? So why would a bank or creditor waste anytime with clowns like you if they could just take people to court and win. Weasels like your company buy the bad debt at pennies to the dollar and theen you pretend to be working on behalf of the creditor.

After few month receiving annoying call from them at different phone number, I call them and asked to be removed from their list. They asked me if I was mister XXXXX and they take out my number from their list ! Only took 30 secondes, but god no more call from them !

try removing from the dialing list by using the ###### it will think your a fax #.

Received a very annoying and rude message from 1-289-271-1389, and asked me to call this number back. I don't even know who they are looking for. Soooo annoying. I don't want to be called anymore.

Don't know how they got my home phone number. It's crazy since I have no lea gal action against me.

Had a message on voicemail from "AROH' or AROA,"  wasn't clear on message saying to call this number.  Very ominous message saying, among other things, that "this matter would be resolved with or without you" and they would advise that their client "secure their position."  Of course, they didn't ask for anyone and this call did not mention a reference number.
Then they gave and address that was hard to hear, in Victora BC, but the postal code they gave is bogus!  No such PC, according to Canada post.

They left me a voicemail to call them back to their telephone 18775824840. It sounded very sketchy so I just ignored it. Is there a way to ask your cellphone provider to block this number? They've been calling from a while and from what I read is for the student loans that usually we pay directly with the bank not through a collection agency. Very strange not to be trusted  

received a call, it was machin talking and said was from CIBC and asked me to call them.
I didn't call cause I cant trust these kind of call.

One of their animal dropings employee with the title of Manager who goes by the name Larry Lim, a slimy fungus from Victoria BC. 1-800-370-1564 ext 1333. Made threats about selling my house in Toronto. Trawled linked-in to call me at  the place where I was working and threaten to talk to Human resources

He is really thick and illiterate cannot understand a simple instruction.

Called me earlier today and left a message, saying "This call is not a solicitation. This is Account Recovery Corp. It is very important that you call 877-582-4840 as soon as possible".
I called back and got the usual menu, and eventually a gentleman came on line, quite pleasant. Initially he couldn't understand why I had been called, because by mistake I gave him my previous number. I have just moved to the area and received a new number of course. Once he verified that there was no claim against my old number, I informed him that "Oh sorry, I just moved to the area a week ago, and just got a new phone number. I am still getting used to the new number". At which point he asked if there was a Catherine Cochrane living here, I said no. He apologized for the call, and advised me that he would remove my new number from their call list, but that it could take up to 24 hours to percolate through their system. He then hung up.
So if you get one of these calls after just moving, and getting a new number, get them to check your old number first. Then they can't say you are responsible as you have already heard them state that your old number is clean.

I have been getting calls from Accounts Recovery from a different numbers this time:  15199001416 and 12509991107.  Same message from the same scam company who used to call from a different number.  Please make them stop.

I just listened to a message they left on my voice mail. They did not identify who the call was from and left no reference number or anything. simply a message that this is not a solicitation and a toll free number to call and that their office will be open Monday.

If this is a collection agency calling about my student loan, I refuse to deal with anyone phoning until the Canadian Government recovers the lost pen drive they lost containing all of the personal and financial information on over 500,000 students. The lost info includes full names,  SIN numbers, addresses, amount of loan, birthdates, phone numbers etc.

It would be stupid to deal with anyone over the phone on student loan matters with our student loan information floating around out there. It wouldn't be hard at all for someone to scam students if they have all of this information.

Those s call all the time, f*** off. I believed most people don't owe anybody money that was being harrased. Even so maybe some people owe anyone money they know who they need to pay back not you s's.

If you reccieved this kind of call maybe u can try to disconnect you home phone while you are busy or sleeping. So you won't get harrased by those s. I am sure you friendly will call you cellphone when can't reach u by home phone. If it's cellphone being called put is to silent or ask friends to send you email.... so can call then back later,if you don't have caller display. That what I do to not being anoyed by those s. Don't even think of answering then, they will not movie u from they list. What I found out is they change a diferent number and keeping calling u.

They bwill then be harassed by calls from the Captain.

Hi

I am sick and tired of getting this call 3 -5 times a day, no one doing anything about it. I think we have to sue the phone companies for this, they are the the one calling, because they want you to pay monthly fee for blocking the numbers for you. When you call the number, your phone bill go way hi in the sky.
I talk to police deportment, they can't do anything about it.
Also they maybe terrorist organized criminals too.
