<<Responsible for DRIVING behavior change among CVS Caremark PBM plan members through direct to consumer strategies and tactics. The intended behavior change will be focused on: DRIVING members to lowest cost medications; DRIVING members to lowest cost channels and DRIVING adherence.>>  How coercive, manipulative, and EVIL.  "Driving"?  "DRIVING plan members' 'behavior change'..."  "DRIVING members to lowest cost [translate possibly poorest quality and most ineffective] medications..." and on and on with the "DRIVING"... Prescription medications should be a collaborative effort between the DOCTOR (not some MBA jack***) AND THE PATIENT/consumer, ideally, and ultimately with the patient's greatest good, health, and wellbeing in mind.  This may be the same idiot who identified himself as "Chris" who called my 72-year-old mother today (from 1-888-277-4144, caller ID showed only "Toll Free Caller") and claimed to be CVS/Caremark and wanted her personal identifying info.  Chris/Christopher:  How about "DRIVING" yourself mad and "DRIVING" yourself right into the ground with your rotten, inhuman, and poorly written schemes... Maybe Karma  can "DRIVE" a stake right through your heart, too!

I had a call from CVS  1 877 306 3893. I was given a 7 digit code to enter however my number was recognized instantly! How did they get it? I was told they had important info for me, I was then asked for personal info e.g date of birth, zip code. I began to smell a scam but needed to know if there really was important info.

Eventually I was told that I had stopped using one of my prescribed medications.

That isn't true.

How would they know since I never get my prescription through CVS as they are rude, slow, indifferent and are forcing the quality local Pharmacies out of business.

I got the same call from 877 477 1442.  they actually called my land lord so they must have googled our address and picked up the wrong number. I did talk to a real person and when I questioned why  they had been calling my landlord I was told to call back because their computer system was compromised. I called caremark customer service from my membership card and they denied that they do anything of that nature. I suspect that they may have been hacked.

From what I was told by a CVS Customer Services Rep, This guy (http://www.linkedin.com/in/christopherjwest) is the MBA genius behind this annoying tele-marketing campaign.  Read his profile carefully, as this guy can't evens spell prescriptions on his resume properly, much less run a tele-marketing campaign.  In fact, another poster mention that by simply putting in any 7-digit number you can get the names of CVS Prescription holders.  Holy Crap!  Who hires these people?  Oh wait, I guess its important to mention that he may have a family, and all and that he is likely "only doing his job".  Not to mention the fact that he clearly boasts about how this automated marketing system will "drive CVS customers to the lowest cost service...improving CVS revenue".  I love how these companies wrap up savings to them as a "great idea" for "less service to the customer for the same price".  No, I will not be walking into a CVS Pharmacy anytime soon either.

They are a 3rd party telemarketing group that was hired by CVS CareMark to get people to sign up for "3 month supply's" or "mail order" prescription services...I reached a human, complained about the fact that if you dial the 877 number back, and type in any old 7-digit number you get the first and last name of a CVS/Caremark subscriber!  I would like the name of the security auditor that approved this little system for HIPAA compliance.  On the good side, I recorded the conversation where I asked, and was told that I would be placed on the DNC.  I have now received 2 calls since then, which when I follow thru on the complaint process, should net me $500 per proven call received after the DNC request.  I have vonage, so every call in and out of my residence is tracked, so at least there will be undeniable proof.  In fact the more number people post here as "CVS/CareMark" the worse it will get for them.

This is completely unsolicited AND its a poorly designed telephony system as the minute you type in any particular 7 digit number you actually get the name of a subscriber (not necessarily yourself !)  They are trying to get you to use mail order prescriptions.  YOU CAN MAKE MONEY OFF OF THESE GUYS !!!
Call the number back, and press "0" to get to a human.  Ask to be placed on the Do not Call list.  Use these exact words.  Then follow your states documented process for filing complaints against the organization.  I'm about to take them to court for my $500/call !

Got a call from 1-404-381-1648, asking that we call the 1-877 number back. They left a 7 digit code to enter. I called and it was a recording telling me I could save money by getting 3 months of prescription drugs for one copay if I ordered them through their service. Apparently this is a part of my company pharamacy plan. I finally hung up because I wasn't interested. But never did speak to a real person. I actually don't know if this is part of my plan, haven't had a chance to check. But who wants a call from their own insurance telemarketers. A new low!

It is CVS/Caremark calling about their prescription by mail service allowing you save money by ordering 3 months supply.  Called back number and entered 7 digit number referenced in original message.  It is a recording asking if you are interested in this service.

The caller ID was "CVS/Caremark." The automated message asked for my upstairs neighbor by name. (How would they have matched my neighbor's name with my number?) I checked with my neighbor, who is NOT insured on a CVS/Caremark plan.

The call-back number provided by the automated message (877-591-0787) led to anything but a human person. The robot kept asking for the seven-digit "extension" that the automated message had said to reference when calling the 877 number. In fairness, the correct "extension" worked (i.e., brought up the name of my upstairs neighbor), whereas bogus "extensions" I tried out did not work.

Then I called one of the numbers I found on the CVS Caremark Web site, 800-552-8159. The customer service rep I spoke with could not make head or tail of either my number, my neighbor's name, or the seven-digit extension. At that, I ended my "research," except that I found this site to share my experience on.

If your benefits plan includes CVS/Caremark Pharmacy benefits, you will probably get autobot calls like this when plan updates are made.

If you're getting calls from this number or from a number that has the recording, do not respond with YES when asked if you are the named participant.  Write down the 7 digit number and contact CVS/Caremark's main number at 800-552-8159.  Ask for Customer Service repeatedly.  You'll be transferred to a rep.  Tell them to look up the 7 digit number and ask if they can not contact you any more.  Don't know if this will work if you are truly signed up for benefits but thought I'd pass on a way to contact someone.

I've been getting calls for someone else and wanted to make sure they were directed appropriately.

Phone message left twice by Caremark to call 877-591-0787 and enter in 7-digit number to return call about medical benefits.  Our phone number is listed as "Do not Call" solicitors but automated calls are being sent for solicitation.

I started getting calls from 877-591-0787 (8775910787) after I inknowingly ordered something over the Internet from a bogus company. During the prdering process I was asked my father's name - for later verification purposes. Since it wasn't one of the usual security questions (social security number, mother's maiden name, etc) I gave it. A couple weeks later I got a recorded call telling me to call this number and enter a 7 digit code to learn benifits news about [my father's name]. Thing is, my father's been dead for almost 10 years and any benifits would have been taken care of long ago. I've gotten the call 2 or 3 times now and am hopeful they/it will just give up - because I'm not calling back.

I received the call and took the bait because we do use Caremark for mailed prescriptions. Was concerned when I called the number, received the automated response and was asked to press or say the 7 digit number.  Long story short it never took me anywhere so I googled to see all these comments.  I have called Caremark to inform them of everyone's opinions on this and suggested they report this higher up the ladder to get it stopped.  I also suggested they google the number and read these comments to realize the aggrevation they are causing. Hopefully this will help put an end to these automated phone calls.

Received a message on my answering machine asking for me by my first name and that I call 877-591-0787 and give a seven digit number to get information on prescription benefits.  Instead, I called the number for CVS Caremark that I know from my prescription benefit plan.  The representative to whom I spoke did not recognixe the 877 number.  She called it while I was on the phone with her.  She did not understand the message we heard from the 877 number.  We both hung up.

Asked to call back 877 591 0787 with a 7 digit code.  When I called back it asked to verify the number by voice comand.  After I had said "yes" I realized they could use this to sign me up for some scam.  Do not really know who to complain.  They claim to be CVS CareMark.  After repeated call to the number there is "real" person you can talk to.  This is BAD and a SCAM ...

I got an answering machine message just like the other posters. Decided just to ignore the call. It is possible that my healthcare provider gave my name and number but I don't know that for sure. It's odd because I don't currently use any prescription drugs.

Got a call from CVS/CAREMARK on 7/16/2009 and again on 7/23/2009 asking me by my 1st name to call this 1-877 number back they left a 7 digit code to hear a recording about my benefit plan regarding prescriptions which I am well aware of but since I can get one of them 1/3 cheaper at Wal-Mart I chose not to go through them for this prescription, I hate CVS and will not again buy anything in their store, where do they get my name and unlisted phone number? If they were not paying a telemarketing company to harass people they could sell the drugs as cheap as Wal-Mart how do you make them stop?
