I got a call from this number today, 12/4/09 to my mobile phone.  I didn't answer and they left no message.  I tried calling it back and got "you have tried to dial an invalid phone number."

Got a call from this on 11/11/2009.  They left no msg.  I didn't answer because they were calling my cell phone, I didn't recognize the number, and didn't want to have to pay for prime time cell minutes to listen to a sales pitch or something.

Call from above number.  When answered, no one there, then I heard a click.

I just got a call from this number. It was an automated call and said it was from Charter One (which I do bank with). They had my name and it told me the call was important and to press any key to continue. I have a weird new slide-out phone that I'm not used to, so by the time I fumbled with it to press a key and return it to my face, all I heard was a dial tone and then the call disconnected.

I'm going down there later today to ask what it was about. Based on other comments here, I'd say not to give any personal info to this number and instead ask your bank about it in person.

I got a call from this number today. They wanted me to press any key to continue, but my phone got locked so I couldn't press anything and I got disconneted. Because I was just passing by a Charter one branch I thought I would ask what was this call about. I gave this number- 18775935428 to the woman in bank and she tried to call it. She told me this is not Charter one's number and that I should not give the caller any personal info if they call again.
They called me few hours later, but when they asked me to press akey if I am the person they wanted to talk with( they had my name)I cut the connection.

received multiple calls from this number it is automated call stating Charter One  to activate your visa debit card. It is not legit. When I foillowed up after multiple calls to another CSR they requested my telephone number and SAID they would remove me from the databse. Well its been a few days and they are STILL calling me. There needs to be a reverse call kill feature on phones . I ignore them but they're filling my vmax.

Talked to the bank. This number is used to verify and activate a new debit card. You can check it out. The message left on my voice mail asked me to activate by calling a certain number, and it is the same phone number that is attached to my new card

This number is not a scam. I called Charter One and checked. It is a real number, and it really does activate your card. The number isn't set up to recieve calls though, that's why you can't get through when you try to call back.

It's a scam.  It's a recorded message from Charter One Bank wanting to know if you received your new Visa Debit Card.  Also wants to know if you want to activate it.  It sounds legit, but it's not.  I called the bank and they said this is a scam.  If you believed this recording and activated you Visa Debit Card from this number, scammers now have your numbers to use it.  Cancell your card and get new ones before these people wipe out your bank account.  Charter One Bank recently switched from Master Card to Visa.

They called and didnt leave a message.  When I called back I got the quick busy signal, doesnt seem to be a working number.

This number called my house 4 times today.  I refuse to answer and they never leave a message.  Total harassment.  Next time, I will click the phone on and then off.  That's what I've been doing to these kinds of calls.

they told my son they were charter one bank, which I bank with, when calling the number back it was not a working #..........

Said important message for me. when called back nothing.
